India’s CSIR ranked world’s 12th best Government Institute
The 2016 report of the prestigious Scimago Institutions Rankings in the fourth week of July 2016 ranked the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as the 12th Best Government Institutions in the world.
• CSIR is the only Indian organization to have found a place among the top 100 global institutions.
• The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) was established in 1942.
• It is an autonomous body and the largest research and development organisation in India.
• It runs 37 laboratories and 39 field stations or extension centres spread across the nation.
• It is mainly funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
• It operates as an autonomous body registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860.
वैज्ञानिक एवं औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद (सीएसआईआर) को 26 जुलाई 2016 को विश्व में सरकारी संस्थानों में 12वां स्थान प्राप्त हुआ है. प्रतिष्ठित सिमागो संस्थान रैंकिंग की 2016 की रिपोर्ट में सीएसआईआर को यह स्थान प्राप्त हुआ है.
• सीएसआईआर देश में शीर्ष स्थान पर है और यह भारत का ऐसा एकमात्र संगठन है जिसे विश्व के शीर्ष 100 वैश्विक संस्थानों के बीच स्थान मिला है.
• वैज्ञानिक और औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद (सीएसआईआर) 1942 में स्थापित किया गया था ।
• यह एक स्वायत्त संस्था है और भारत में सबसे बड़ा अनुसंधान और विकास संगठन है।
• यह 37 प्रयोगशाला और 39 फील्ड स्टेशनों के साथ देश भर में फैले है।
• यह मुख्य रूप से विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय द्वारा वित्त पोषित है।
• यह 1860 के सोसायटी अधिनियम के पंजीकरण के अंतर्गत पंजीकृत एक स्वायत्त निकाय के रूप में चल रही है।
