India, Myanmar Sign Three Agreements
India and Myanmar on 19 October 2016 signed three agreements to boost the bilateral relations between the two nations.
● Keeping in view the sensitivity of each other’s strategic interests, the two nations also agreed for close security coordination in border areas.
● The MoUs were inked in New Delhi after delegation level talks with the visiting State Counsellor of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi. Suu Kyi was on a three day visit to India. Agreements inked includes
● MoU for designing an academic and professional building programme for insurance industry of Myanmar.
● MoU on Cooperation in the field of Power Sector: India has also offered to enhance power supply from Moreh in Manipur to Tamu in Myanmar.
● MoU on Banking Supervision between RBI and Central Bank of Mya
प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी और म्यांमार की स्टेट काउंसलर आंग सांग सू की ने 19 अक्टूबर 2016 को तीन समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए.
● ये दोनों देशो के बीच कृषि, बिजली और बुनियादी ढांचे के क्षेत्र में सहयोग बढ़ाने के लिए समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किया गया. म्यांमार के वित्तीय नियामक विभाग और भारतीय बीमा संस्थान के बीच हस्ताक्षर किए गए.
● दोनों देशों ने तेल एवं गैस, कृषि और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में भी सहयोग करने पर सहमति दी.
● म्यांमार ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद की स्थाई सदस्यता के लिए भी भारत को अपना समर्थन दुहराया.
● आपसी रिश्तों को गहराई देने के लिए दोनों देशों ने आपस में व्यापार और सुरक्षा सम्बन्धों को भी मजबूत करने का संकल्प किया.
● जनतांत्रिक चुनावों में म्यांमार की सेना से सत्ता छीनने के बाद म्यांमार की नेशनल लीग फॉर डेमोक्रेसी की नेता आंग सान सू की की यह पहली भारत यात्रा है.
