India, Myanmar ink four agreements to boost bilateral cooperation
India and Myanmar have signed four Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries.
• These agreements were signed after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his visiting counterpart President of Myanmar U Htin Kyaw in New Delhi.
• President Kyaw was on a four day visit to India from 27 August to 30 August 2016. He is the first democratically elected President of Myanmar to visit India.
Signed Agreements are
• MoU on cooperation in the Field of Renewable Energy.
• MoU on cooperation in the construction of 69 Bridges
• MoU on cooperation in the field of Traditional Systems of Medicine.
• MoU on cooperation in the construction and upgradation of the Kalewa – Yagyi Road Section.
भारत दौरे पर आए म्यांमार के राष्ट्रपति हतिन क्याव तथा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के बीच यहां द्विपक्षीय बैठक के बाद भारत व म्यांमार ने सोमवार को चार समझौतों पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
राष्ट्रपति क्याव 27 अगस्त से 30 अगस्त तक 4 दिन के भारत दौरे पर हैं. राष्ट्रपति क्याव चार दिवसीय भारत दौरे पर हैं।
• पहले समझौते के तहत भारत, म्यांमार व थाईलैंड को जोड़ने वाले त्रिपक्षीय राजमार्ग के तामू-कालेवा खंड पर 69 पुलों का निर्माण होगा।
• दूसरे समझौते के तहत, त्रिपक्षीय राजमार्ग के कालेवा-यार्गी खंड को उन्नत करना है।
• तीसरा समझौता नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के क्षेत्र में हुआ है,
• जबकि चौथे समझौते के तहत पारंपरिक चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में सहयोग करना है।
