India France to ink Rafale Deal
India will finally ink the deal for direct acquisition of 36 Rafale fighter jets from France on Friday.
• IAF, after all, is down to just 33 fighter squadrons when at least 42 are required for dissuasive deterrence against China and Pakistan.
• The overall cost of the 36 twin-engine Rafales , along with their weapon packages, associated supplies and logistics, is pegged at around 7.8 billion euros (over Rs 59,000 crore).
• It is capable of delivering nuclear weapons, & will touch down in India within three years.
• All 36 jets will be delivered in 66 months. India will pay around 15% (around Rs 9,000 crore) as the first installment.
• The inking of the IGA comes 20 months after the proposed government-to-government deal was announced during the Modi-Hollande summit in Paris in April 2015.
फ्रांस से 36 राफेल लड़ाकू विमानों का सौदा शुक्रवार को हो जाएगा.
• चीन और पाकिस्तान का सामना करने के लिए भारतको 42 स्कावड्रन की जरूरत है। लेकिन, वर्तमान में उसके पास 32 स्कावड्रन हैं।
• यह सौदा विमान और सभी हथियारों के साथ 7.87 बिलियन यूरो में होने जा रहा है. यानी अगर भारतीय रुपये में बात करें तो करीब 59 हजार करोड़ में आएगा.
• ये परमाणु हथियार ले जाने में भी सक्षम है
• फेल सौदे पर हस्ताक्षर होने के 36 महीने के भीतर यानी 2019 में विमान आना शुरू जाएंगे. सभी 36 विमान 66 महीने के भीतर भारत आ जाएंगे. इसके लिए भारत फ्रांस को 15 फीसदी कीमत देगा करीब 9000 करोड़
• 2015 में भारत ने फ्रांस की सरकार से सीधे फाइटर जेट्स खरीदने की योजना बनाई। यूपीए सरकार ने फ्रांस से 126 विमानों को खरीदने का सौदा तैयार किया था। इसमें 36 विमान सीधे दसाल्ट-एवियशन कंपनी से खरीदे जाने थे। बाकी 90 भारत में तैयार होने थे। लेकिन, पीएम मोदी ने पुराने सौदे को रद्द कर सीधे फ्रांस सरकार से नई डील की।
