India 39th in Global Competitiveness : WEF
World Economic Forum (WEF) on 27 September 2015 released the Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) 2016-2017. India 39th in Global Competitiveness.
The report assesses the competitiveness landscape of 138 economies.
• Switzerland, Singapore and the US remain as the world's most competitive economies.
• China ranks 28 in the index.
• Among the other BRICS nations, Russia is ranked 43rd, South Africa is at 47 and Brazil at 81.
• There were no newcomers to its 2016-2017 top 10, though the order of some of the leading countries shifted in its Global Competitiveness Report.
• Top 10 countries in ranking are Switzerland, Singapore, United States, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, United Kingdom, Japan, Hong Kong (SAR), and Finland.
विश्व आर्थिक मंच (डब्ल्यूईएफ) ने 27 सितंबर 2015 को वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा रिपोर्ट 2016-2017 का विमोचन किया। वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा में भारत 39 वें स्थान पर है ।
● रिपोर्ट में 138 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं की प्रतिस्पर्धा परिदृश्य का आकलन है।
● स्विट्जरलैंड, सिंगापुर और अमेरिका दुनिया के सबसे प्रतिस्पर्धी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं के रूप में हैं। चीन सूचकांक में 28 वें स्थान पर है।
● अन्य ब्रिक्स देशों में रूस 43 वें स्थान पर है, दक्षिण अफ्रीका और ब्राजील 47; 81 पर है।
● इसके 2016-2017 रिपोर्ट के शीर्ष 10 में बहुत नए चेहरे थे, हालांकि अग्रणी देशों में से कुछ के क्रम में अपने वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा रिपोर्ट में स्थानांतरित कर दिया।
● रैंकिंग में शीर्ष 10 देश स्विट्जरलैंड, सिंगापुर, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका, नीदरलैंड, जर्मनी, स्वीडन, यूनाइटेड किंगडम, जापान, हांगकांग (एसएआर), और फिनलैंड हैं।
