SUMMIT:
ICAT to organize NuGen Mobility Summit in November.
• The International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) is to organize a NuGen Mobility Summit, 2019, at Manesar, NCR, from 27th to 29th November 2019. The summit will help in building a platform for bringing together all stakeholders in the automotive industry to understand global advancements in technologies.
• The summit aims to bring together the automotive OEMs, professionals, researchers, academic experts, vehicle system suppliers, test equipment supplier, quality managers, product planners, component developers, SAE members and students from all over the world.
• Track demonstrations, drive-touch-feel activity and lab demonstrations on upcoming vehicle technologies like connected mobility, autonomous vehicles, electric mobility, alternate fuels, intelligent transportation system, hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen IC engine, vehicle dynamics, advanced materials and lightweight, end of life vehicles and recycling are the uniqueness of this event.
CAMPAIGNS:
MRM launches campaign to garner Muslim support for strong & stable government.
• Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM), a social and educational reform movement working among the Muslims in India since 2002, undertaking the campaign to create awareness among the Muslim voters to cast their vote for a strong government at the Centre to ensure the all-round development of all the citizens.
• The MRM had done a similar exercise in 2014 to secure Muslim vote to its maximum all over the country. This time too, the MRM has decided to launch such a campaign especially when the Modi government had done so much for the Muslims of India.
INTERNATIONAL:
Pakistan opened a route for flights out of India.
• Pakistan has opened one route for west-bound flights from India more than a month after it shut its airspace for all civilian flights following the Indian Air Force’s strikes at Balakot. A decision on opening a passage for flights overflying Pakistan and entering India is yet to be taken.
• The route that has been opened passes from near Mumbai and enters southern Pakistan. This is only one of the 11 exit and entry points between India and Pakistan. Since the ban by Pakistan on the use of its airspace, several flights within Asia, between Asia and West Asia or Europe or the U.S. were forced to take a longer route, entailing an increase in flight duration and sometimes a halt for refuelling.
• This led to an increase in operational costs, forcing many airlines to cancel flights or hike fares.
SPORTS:
Virat Kohli becomes all-time leading IPL scorer during 49-ball 84.
• Virat Kohli hit his 35th fifty in the Indian Premier League as Royal Challengers Bangalore sought to bounce back following four successive defeats this season.
• Up against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kohli came out all guns blazing and became the 2nd fastest after Chris Gayle to reach 8000 T20 runs. RCB have struggled in the 2019 IPL and Virat Kohli had failed to lead from the front in the first four matches.
• However, back in Bengaluru, Kohli hit top gear against a top bowling attack and blazed away to a 49-ball 84. This was Kohli's first fifty of the season. Virat Kohli had smashed 973 runs and 4 hundred as RCB came from nowhere to storm into the final against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

World Health Day observed on 7th April.
• World Health Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year as the World Health Day, with effect from 1950.
• World Health Day is one of eight official global health campaigns marked by WHO, along with World Tuberculosis Day, World Immunization Week, World Malaria Day, World No Tobacco Day, World AIDS Day, World Blood Donor Day, and World Hepatitis Day. The theme of World Health Day 2019 is Universal health coverage: everyone, everywhere.
NATIONAL:
Micromax Co-founder unveils Indias first AI-enabled e-motorcycle brand.
• Rahul Sharma, cofounder of Indian phone maker Micromax, has forayed into the electric vehicle space. He has started a new enterprise called Revolt Intellicorp Pvt. Ltd, with plans to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) based motorcycle. He has invested between INR 400 Cr - INR 500 Cr in this new venture. The proposed AI-enabled motorcycle will have a range of 156.8 km and a top speed of 85km/hr. The commercial launch of the motorcycle is scheduled in June this year.
BSNL announced a slew of tariff plans for Ugadi.
• Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) announced a slew of tariff plans as part of its Ugadi offering in Hyderabad.
• It also announced three new pre-paid plans to meet the demand of consumers who want voice-focussed plans rather than data-heavy ones.
• BSNL has seen its rise in market share from 10.8% to 11.58%. Its consumers are using 8 TB data everyday and 42,600 existing users have shifted to 4G SIM showing the quality of our network and service.
• Incidentally, BSNL Telangana Circle’s 4G roll-out plan has eluded Hyderabad so far.
Government sells Rs 1,150 crore worth 'enemy shares' in Wipro.
• A total of 44.4 million shares, which were held by the Custodian of Enemy Property for India, were sold at Rs 259 apiece on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
• The buyers were state-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), New India Assurance and General Insurance Corporation.
• LIC alone picked up shares worth Rs 1,000 crore. Enemy shares are called so as they were originally held by people who migrated to Pakistan or China and are not Indian citizens any longer.

• Indian Astrologer Dr Sohini Sastri has been honoured with 'D. Litt in Astrology' by National American University, USA.
• Dr Sohini Sastri is one of the most trusted names in Astrology and is known for her services over the years. She is also a receipt of 'Champions of Change Award' which was given to her by Honourable Vice-President of India, M. Venkaiah Naidu at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi recently.

BANKS AND ECONOMICS:
Karnataka Bank signed MoU with Bharti AXA for Insurance Products.
• Karnataka Bank has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Bharti AXA Life Insurance Company to distribute the latter’s life insurance products. This is the third similar tie-up by the Bank after with PNB Metlife India Insurance Company Ltd and LIC, both of whom continue to provide insurance solutions to the customers of Karnataka Bank.
MOUS:
BIS signed MoU with IIT-D on standardisation and conformity assessment.
• The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has signed MoU with the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D) to collaborate in the field of standardisation and conformity assessment. The MoU was signed by IIT Delhi Director Professor V Ramgopal Rao and Director General of BIS Surina Rajan. According to the MoU, IIT Delhi will provide infrastructure support for research and development projects of relevance to standardisation and BIS will provide financial support to IIT Delhi for projects.

न्यूजेन मोबिलिटी समिट 2019 का आयोजन
• अंतरराष्ट्रीय ऑटोमोटिव प्रौद्योगिकी केन्द्र (आईसीएटी) 27 नवंबर से 29 नवंबर 2019 के दौरान एनसीआर स्थित मानेसर में ‘न्यूजेन मोबिलिटी समिट 2019’ का आयोजन करेगा।
• इस शिखर सम्मेलन का आयोजन एसएईएनआईएस, एसएई इंडिया, एसएई इंटरनेशनल, नैट्रिप, डिम्टस, भारी उद्योग विभाग, सड़क परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग मंत्रालय, सियाम और एसईएमए के आपसी सहयोग से किया जाएगा।
• इस शिखर सम्मेलन का उद्देश्य स्मार्ट एवं हरित भविष्य के लिए उन्नत ऑटोमोटिव तकनीकों के त्वरित अनुपालन, समावेशन एवं विकास हेतु नये विचारों, जानकारियों, वैश्विक अनुभवों, नवाचारों और भावी तकनीकी रुझानों को साझा करना होगा।
• इस शिखर सम्मेलन के आयोजन का मुख्य उद्देश्य ऑटोमोटिव क्षेत्र से जुड़े मूल उपकरण निर्माताओं (ओईएम), प्रोफेशनलों, अनुसंधानकर्ताओं, अकादमिक विशेषज्ञों, वाहन प्रणाली आपूर्तिकर्ताओं, परीक्षण उपकरणों के आपूर्तिकर्ताओं, गुणवत्ता प्रबंधकों, उत्पाद नियोजकों, उपकरण डेवलपरों और एसएई के सदस्यों के साथ-साथ विश्वभर के विद्यार्थियों को भी एकजुट करना है।
अभियान:
MRM ने मजबूत और स्थिर सरकार के लिए मुस्लिम समर्थन जुटाने के लिए अभियान शुरू किया।
• मुस्लिम राष्ट्रीय मंच (MRM), 2002 से भारत में मुस्लिमों के बीच काम करने वाला एक सामाजिक और शैक्षणिक सुधार आंदोलन, मुस्लिम मतदाताओं में जागरूकता पैदा करने के लिए केंद्र में एक मजबूत सरकार के लिए अपना वोट डालने के लिए जागरूकता अभियान चलाने का उपक्रम, चौतरफा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सभी नागरिकों का विकास के लिए शुरू किया है।
• एमआरएम ने 2014 में मुस्लिम वोट को पूरे देश में अपने अधिकतम स्तर तक सुरक्षित करने के लिए एक समान अभ्यास किया था। इस बार भी, MRM ने इस तरह के अभियान को शुरू करने का फैसला किया है, खासकर जब मोदी सरकार ने भारत के मुसलमानों के लिए बहुत कुछ किया है।
अंतरराष्ट्रीय:
पाकिस्तान ने भारत से बाहर जाने वाली उड़ानों के लिए एक मार्ग खोला।
• पाकिस्तान ने अपने 11 हवाई मार्गों में से एक को भारत से पश्चिम की तरफ जाने वाली उड़ानों के लिए खोल दिया है। सरकार के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने शनिवार को बताया कि एअर इंडिया एवं तुर्की एअरलाइन्स जैसी विमानन कंपनियों ने इस मार्ग का प्रयोग करना शुरु कर दिया है। उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘पाकिस्तान आंशिक रुप से अपने हवाईक्षेत्र को खोल रहा है। बृहस्पतिवार को उसने पश्चिम की ओर जाने वाली उड़ानों के लिए 11 मार्गों में से एक को खोल दिया। इसलिए एअर इंडिया एवं तुर्की एअरलाइन्स जैसी कंपनियों ने इसका इस्तेमाल करना शुरु कर दिया है।’’

IPL 2019: विराट कोहली ने मचाया कोहराम, तूफानी फिफ्टी से लगाई रिकॉर्ड्स की झड़ी
• आईपीएल 2019 में रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर के कप्तान विराट कोहली ने शुक्रवार को किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब के खिलाफ अर्धशतकीय पारी के बूते कई रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम कर लिए। उन्होंने कोलकाता नाइटराइडर्स के गेंदबाजों की जमकर खबर लेते हुए 49 गेंद में 84 रन की पारी खेली। इस दौरान कोहली ने 9 चौके और 2 छक्के उड़ाए, यह कोहली का शाहरुख खान की टीम केकेआर के खिलाफ सबसे बड़ा स्कोर है। इससे पहले केकेआर के खिलाफ कोहली का सर्वोच्च स्कोर 77 रन था।
• कोहली ने आज की अर्धशतकीय पारी के बूते आईपीएल के कई रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम किए. आईपीएल में यह उनका 35वां अर्धशतक है. कोहली ने आईपीएल में अर्धशतक लगाने के मामले में सुरेश रैना की बराबरी की, उनके नाम भी 35 फिफ्टी हैं। कोहली ने 168 मैचों की 160 पारियों में यह उपलब्धि हासिल की है।

विश्व स्वास्थ्य दिवस: 7 अप्रैल
• प्रत्येक वर्ष के 7 अप्रैल को विश्व स्वास्थ्य दिवस मनाया जाता है. WHO के अनुसार, विश्व स्वास्थ्य दिवस 2019 का विषय 'यूनिवर्सल हेल्थ कवरेज (UHC): एवरीवन, एवरीवेयर' है।
इस दिन 1948 में प्रथम स्वास्थ्य सभा में इसकी स्थापना हुई थी और यह 1950 में प्रभावी हुआ था. इस उत्सव का उद्देश्य विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन के लिए प्राथमिकता के क्षेत्र को उजागर करने के लिए एक विशिष्ट स्वास्थ्य विषय के बारे में जागरूकता उत्पन्न करना है।
राष्ट्रीय:
माइक्रोमैक्स के सह-संस्थापक ने भारत के पहले एआई-सक्षम ई-मोटरसाइकिल ब्रांड की घोषणा की:
• माइक्रोमैक्स के सह-संस्थापक राहुल शर्मा ने एआई (कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता) सक्षम इलेक्ट्रिक मोटरसाइकिल के लॉन्च के साथ स्मार्ट मोबिलिटी में अपनी भागीदारी की घोषणा की है। इस लॉन्च की इस साल जून तक सड़कों पर उतरने की उम्मीद है।
• उन्होंने लगभग 500 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से व्यक्तिगत गतिशीलता को व्यावहारिक, सस्ती और टिकाऊ बनाने के लिए रिवोल्ट इंटेलीकोर्प प्राइवेट लिमिटेड की स्थापना की है। कम्पनी का मुख्यालय गुरुग्राम में है।
• उन्होंने दावा किया है कि ऑटोमोबाइल उद्योग में रिवोल्ट इंटेलीकोर्प एक गेम चेंजर बनने जा रहा है।
बीएसएनएल को दूरसंचार विभाग (डीऔटी) से इन-फ़्लाइट कनेक्टिविटी लाइसेंस प्राप्त हुआ:
• 4 अप्रैल 2019 को, भारत संचार निगम लिमिटेड (बीएसएनएल) ने भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र के भीतर उड़ान और समुद्री कनेक्टिविटी (आईएफएमसी) को सक्षम करने के लिए दूरसंचार विभाग (डीऔटी) से इन-फ़्लाइट कनेक्टिविटी लाइसेंस प्राप्त किया है।
• बीएसएनएल और इनमारसैट, जो बीएसएनएल के उपग्रह भागीदार हैं, भी जीएक्स एविएशन सेवा संचालित करता है, जो एयरलाइंस को इन-फ्लाइट कनेक्टिविटी प्रदान करने में सक्षम होगा।
• जब भारतीय हवाई क्षेत्र में उड़ान 3,000 मीटर की न्यूनतम ऊंचाई पर हो, तब इस सुविधा से उपयोगकर्ता संदेश भेज सकते हैं, इंटरनेट सर्फ कर सकते हैं और/या ट्वीट कर सकते हैं। वर्तमान में घरेलू और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दोनों उड़ानों के लिए किसी भी प्रकार की इंटरनेट कनेक्टिविटी भारतीय उड़ानों पर उपलब्ध नहीं है।
iv.सक्षम होने के बाद, यह सुविधा अभी भी उपयोगकर्ताओं को उनके उपयोग के लिए सीमित डेटा उपलब्ध कराएगी, जो सभी एयरलाइनों के लिए लागू है।
सरकार ने दुश्मनों के 1150 करोड़ रु. के शेयर बेचे, समाज की भलाई में इस्तेमाल होगी रकम
• सरकार ने दुश्मनों के 4.43 करोड़ शेयर बेचकर 1150 करोड़ रुपए हासिल किए हैं। ये शेयर आईटी कंपनी विप्रो के थे। केंद्र सरकार की संस्था द कस्टडियन ऑफ एनेमी प्रॉपर्टी फॉर इंडिया के जरिए शेयर बेचे गए। जो लोग 1968 से पहले पाकिस्तान या चीन में जाकर बस गए और भारत के नागरिक नहीं रहे उनकी प्रॉपर्टी कानून के मुताबिक दुश्मनों की संपत्ति (एनेमी प्रॉपर्टी) मानी जाती है।
• एनेमी प्रॉपर्टी एक्ट 1968 के मुताबिक ऐसी संपत्तियां जो किसी दुश्मन की हैं या फिर उसके लिए मैनेज की जा रही हों वो दुश्मनों की संपत्ति मानी जाती हैं। इनकी बिक्री से मिलने वाली रकम सरकार के विनिवेश खाते में जमा होती है। 1960 के दशक में चीन और पाकिस्तान से टकराव के बाद एनेमी प्रॉपर्टी एक्ट 1968 लागू किया गया था।
पुरस्कार और सम्मान:
भारतीय ज्योतिषी डॉ सोहिनी शास्त्री को ज्योतिष में डी. लिट से सम्मानित किया गया:
• 4 अप्रैल 2019 को भारतीय ज्योतिषी डॉ सोहिनी शास्त्री को नेशनल अमेरिकन यूनिवर्सिटी यूएसए द्वारा ‘डी. लिट इन एस्ट्रोलॉजी’ (डॉक्टर ऑफ़ लेटर्स) से सम्मानित किया गया है, उन्हें मुंबई में क्लासिकी क्लब में उनके ज्ञान और ज्योतिष में योगदान के लिए आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में सम्मानित किया गया।
• इसी समारोह में बॉलीवुड गायक मोहित चौहान और कोरियोग्राफर टेरेंस लुईस को भी डॉक्टरेट से सम्मानित किया गया।
• उन्हें विक्टोरिया ग्लोबल यूनिवर्सिटी, यूएसए द्वारा वर्ष 2018 में ज्योतिष में डॉक्टरेट से सम्मानित किया गया और भारत के माननीय उपराष्ट्रपति एम वेंकैया नायडू द्वारा ‘चैंपियंस ऑफ चेंज अवार्ड’ की प्राप्ति भी हुई।
बैंक और अर्थव्यवस्था
कर्नाटक बैंक ने बीमा उत्पादों के लिए भारती एक्सा के साथ समझौता किया:
• कर्नाटक बैंक ने अपने ग्राहकों को बीमा समाधान प्रदान करने के लिए भारती एक्सा लाइफ इंश्योरेंस कंपनी लिमिटेड के जीवन बीमा उत्पादों को वितरित करने के लिए भारती एक्सा लाइफ इंश्योरेंस कंपनी लिमिटेड के साथ एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।
• कर्नाटक बैंक के भारती प्रतिनिधियों और भारती एक्सा लाइफ इंश्योरेंस कंपनी द्वारा कर्नाटक बैंक के मुख्यालय में समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए।
• यह सहयोग बीमा कंपनी के ग्राहक केंद्रित उत्पादों द्वारा समर्थित बैंक की सभी 836 शाखाओं में इसके ग्राहकों के लिए जीवन बीमा उत्पादों की विस्तृत पसंद की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा।
समझौते:
BIS और IIT-दिल्ली मानकीकरण और अनुरूपता मूल्यांकन पर समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किये
• भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (BIS) ने मानकीकरण और अनुरूपता मूल्यांकन के क्षेत्र में सहयोग करने के लिए भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, दिल्ली (IIT-D) के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं. एमओयू पर IIT दिल्ली के निदेशक प्रोफेसर वी रामगोपाल राव और BIS के महानिदेशक सुरीना राजन ने हस्ताक्षर किए।
• एमओयू के अनुसार, IIT दिल्ली मानकीकरण के लिए प्रासंगिकता के अनुसंधान और विकास परियोजनाओं के लिए बुनियादी ढांचा समर्थन प्रदान करेगा और बीआईएस परियोजनाओं के लिए आईआईटी दिल्ली को वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करेगा।
