• Donald Trump, President of the USA has announced Wilmington (located in southern US state North Carolina) as the first World War II Heritage City.
• The announcement was made at a ceremony held to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. September 2, 2020 marks the 75th Commemoration of the End of World War II.
Saudi Arabia chairs G20 Foreign Ministers’ Extraordinary Meeting
• The G20 Foreign Ministers’ Extraordinary Meeting was held under the current Chair, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the backdrop of the C-19 pandemic crisis.
• The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud, chaired the virtual meeting.From India External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar represented the meeting.

CII to create a ‘National strategy for future business’ along with DPIIT
• Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) will create a ‘national strategy for future businesses’ together with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
• The group will also provide policy inputs, identify new growth segments and establish international partnerships with a focus on growing such businesses.
RBI ceased the Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank to be act as a banking company
• The Reserve Bank of India has issued a notification to all banks on September 03, 2020 stating that “Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank Limited” has ceased to be a banking company within the meaning of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 with effect from July 28, 2020.
• Apart from this, “Westpac Banking Corporation” also ceases to be a banking company as announced by RBI.

NTPC wins National Management Games 2020
• Team of NTPC Limited, the Central PSU under Ministry of Power, has won the All India Management Association (AIMA) Chanakya (Business Simulation Game) National Management Games (NMG) 2020.
• The team from NTPC Vallur, Tamil Nadu won the championship which featured the participation of teams from 112 organisations from different parts of the country.
• AIMA Chanakya National Management Games is an online Business Simulation Game which is conducted every year. The championship aims to ensure that executives participating in the event get the on board experience about the complexities of running an organisation and gain expertise and skills from this event.

• Infosys acquires US-based product design and development firm, Kaleidoscope Innovation, for $42 million.

This will be published by Harper Collins, India in October.
• In November, Penguin Random House will come out with Ma Anand Sheela’s memoir titled, My Story in My Own Words. Ma Anand Sheela’s life has been rife with controversies and enigma.

ट्रंप ने विलमिंगटन को पहला वल्र्ड वार 2 हेरिटेज सिटी घोषित किया
• अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने दक्षिणी अमेरिकी राज्य उत्तरी कैरोलिना में स्थित विलमिंगटन को दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के पहले हेरिटेज सिटी (विरासत शहर) के रूप में घोषित किया है। ट्रंप ने यह घोषणा द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के अंत की 75वीं वर्षगांठ के अवसर पर आयोजित एक समारोह में की।
• ट्रंप ने बुधवार को विलमिंगटन में बैटलशिप नॉर्थ कैरोलिना में अपने भाषण में कहा, आपने हमारे लिए जो किया, वह हम कभी नहीं भूलेंगे।
• विश्व युद्ध के दौरान विलमिंगटन उत्तरी केरोलिना शिपबिल्डिंग कंपनी की साइट थी, जिसने संघीय सरकार के आपातकालीन जहाज निर्माण कार्यक्रम के हिस्से के रूप में पांच साल में 243 जहाजों का निर्माण किया था।
सऊदी अरब ने की G20 के विदेश मंत्रियों की असाधारण बैठक की अध्यक्षता
• सऊदी अरब ने वर्चुली मोड में आयोजित की गई G20 विदेश मंत्रियों की असाधारण बैठक की अध्यक्षता की। C-19 महामारी संकट की स्थिति के बारे में बुलाई गई इस आभासी बैठक में विदेश मंत्री (EAM) एस जयशंकर ने भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। बैठक के दौरान, भारत ने ‘G20 Principles on Coordinated Cross-Border Movement of People’ यानि लोगों के समन्वित क्रॉस-बॉर्डर मूवमेंट पर स्वैच्छिक G20 व्यवस्था स्थापित करने का प्रस्ताव रखा। यह नया प्रस्ताव निम्नलिखित तीन मानदंडों पर आधारित होगा:
a) Standardisation of testing procedures and universal acceptability of test results
b) Standardisation of 'Quarantine procedures'
c) Standardisation of 'movement and transit' protocols
• प्रतिभागियों ने C-19 महामारी संकट के दौरान सीमाओं के पार अंतरराष्ट्रीय सहयोग को मजबूत करने पर विचार-विमर्श किया। इसके अलावा मंत्रियों ने C-19 महामारी से निपटने के लिए सीमा पार प्रबंधन पहलों से मिले राष्ट्रीय अनुभवों और सीख पर भी चर्चा की।
बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था
गोयल ने स्टार्टअप को ईएसओपी से संबंधित मुद्दों पर समग्र पेपर के साथ आने के लिए कहा
• वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्री पीयूष गोयल गुरुवार को स्टार्टअप समुदाय को इससे जुड़े मुद्दों पर समग्र पेपर के साथ आने को कहा ईएसओपी (कर्मचारी स्टॉक विकल्प योजना) ताकि इसे वित्त मंत्रालय को भेजा जा सके।
• उन्होंने कहा कि शायद अक्टूबर या नवंबर में, उद्योग और आंतरिक व्यापार को बढ़ावा देने के लिए विभाग (DPIIT) मामले पर स्टार्टअप के साथ जुड़ेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि स्टार्टअप्स के लिए कर भुगतान में आसानी से संबंधित कुछ कदमों की घोषणा पहले की गई थी, लेकिन बाद में कुछ मुद्दों को ध्यान में लाया गया।
• रेलवे में इनोवेशन के बारे में बात करते हुए गोयल ने कहा कि भारतीय रेलवे बेहतर एलएचबी (लिंके हॉफमैन बस) कोच बना रहा है। “इसके परिणामस्वरूप, पिछले 17 महीनों में, रेलवे दुर्घटना के कारण एक भी रेल यात्री की मृत्यु नहीं हुई है,” उन्होंने कहा। CII का फ्यूचर बिजनेस ग्रुप भारत में नए व्यवसायों के विकास का पोषण करने के उद्देश्य से शुरू किया गया था।
आदित्या बिड़ला IDEA पेमेंट बैंक का बैंकिंग दर्जा समाप्त, RBI ने की घोषणा
• आदित्य बिड़ला आइडिया पेमेंट्स बैंक को अप्रैल 2017 में रिजर्व बैंक से बैंकिेग कंपनी के तौर पर काम करने का लाइसेंस मिला था। इसने 22 फरवरी 2018 को अपना परिचालन शुरू किया था। आदित्य बिड़ला आइडिया पेमेंट्स बैंक में ग्रासिम इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड की 51 प्रतिशत और वोडाफोन आइडिया लिमिटेड की 49 प्रतिशत हिस्सेदारी थी।
• रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (Reserve Bank of India) आदित्य बिरला आइडिया पेमेंट्स बैंक का दर्जा समाप्त कर दिया है। RBI ने गुरुवार को इस बारे में जानकारी दी और कहा कि Aditya Birla Idea Payments Bank का बैकिंग नियमन अधिनियम के तहत बैंकिंग कंपनी का दर्जा समाप्त कर दिया है। ग्राहक अब इस बैंक से लेन-देन न करें।
• जानकारी के मुताबिक, पिछले साल नवंबर में रिजर्व बैंक ने कहा था कि आदित्य बिड़ला आइडिया पेमेंट्स बैंक के स्वैच्छिक तौर पर कारोबार समाप्त करने के आवेदन के बाद यह परिसमापन की दिशा में बढेगा।

• ऊर्जा मंत्रालय के तहत केंद्रीय सार्वजनिक उपक्रम एनटीपीसी लिमिटेड की टीम ने ऑल इंडिया मैनेजमेंट एसोसिएशन (AIMA) चाणक्य (बिजनेस सिमुलेशन गेम) चाणक्य राष्ट्रीय प्रबंधन खेल (National Management Games) 2020 जीता है। NTPC वेल्लूर, तमिलनाडु की टीम ने देश के विभिन्न हिस्सों में स्थित 112 संगठनों की टीमों के खिलाफ मुकाबला करने के पश्चात राष्ट्रीय चैंपियन का खिताब हासिल किया है।
• AIMA चाणक्य राष्ट्रीय प्रबंधन खेल, ऑनलाइन व्यापार सिमुलेशन खेल हैं, जिनका प्रति वर्ष आयोजन किया जाता है। चैंपियनशिप का उद्देश्य विभिन्न उद्योगों के भागीदार कार्यपालकों को एक संगठन चलाने की जटिलताओं से परिचित कराना और इस आयोजन से उन्हें विशेषज्ञता तथा कौशल का लाभ सुनिश्चित कराना है। यह कॉर्पोरेट प्रबंधकों को एक प्रतिस्पर्धी मोड में प्रबंध व्यवसाय के रोमांच का सामना करने में सक्षम बनाता है।
अधिग्रहण और विलय
इंफोसिस 4.2 करोड़ डॉलर तक में खरीदेगी अमेरिका की कैलिडोस्कोप इनोवेशन
• देश की दूसरी बड़ी सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी कंपनी इंफोसिस 4.2 करोड़ डॉलर (करीब 308 करोड़ रुपये) तक में अमेरिका की कैलिडोस्कोप इनोवेशन का अधिग्रहण करेगी। कैलिडोस्कोप इनोवेशन एक उत्पाद डिजाइन और विकास कंपनी है। इंफोसिस ने बृहस्पतिवार को कहा कि कैलिडोस्कोप इनोवेशन चिकित्सा, उपभोक्ता और औद्योगिक बाजार श्रेणी में नवोन्मेष करने वाली कंपनी है। इसने नेत्र चिकित्सा के दौरान शरीर में दवा पहुंचाने, न्यूनतम चीर-फाड़ की शल्य चिकित्सा में इस्तेमाल और सूक्ष्म सर्जरी के उपकरण डिजाइन किए हैं। साथ ही उपयोक्ताओं को ध्यान में रखकर पहनने में सक्षम प्रौद्योगिकी उपकरण भी बनाए हैं।
• इंफोसिस इसका अधिग्रहण अपने पूर्ण स्वामित्व वाली अनुषंगी कंपनी इंफोसिस नोवा होल्डिंग्स के माध्यम से करेगी। यह सौदा वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 की दूसरी तिमाही में पूरा होने की उम्मीद है।
• ओहियो की कैलिडोस्कोप इनोवेशन ने 31 दिसंबर 2019 को समाप्त वित्त वर्ष में 2.06 करोड़ डॉलर की आय हासिल की थी। इंफोसिस के अध्यक्ष रवि कुमार ने कहा यह अधिग्रहण कंपनी की नयी सॉफ्टवेयर प्रौद्योगिकी और चिकित्सा उपकरण क्षेत्र में डिजिटल पोर्टफोलियो के विस्तार को मजबूत करेगा।

राजीव बी लाल ने IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक के नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव चेयरमैन के पद से इस्तीफा दिया
• डॉ राजीव बी लाल ने IDFC फर्स्ट बैंक के पार्ट-टाइम नॉन-एग्जीक्यूटिव चेयरमैन के पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया है।
• उन्होंने इस्तीफे के कारण के रूप में लंबे समय तक व्यक्तिगत स्वास्थ्य मुद्दों का हवाला दिया है। हाल ही में आईडीएफसी बैंक के संस्थापक एमडी थे।
