Inauguration of Multi-Sensor Aero-Geophysical Surveys over Obvious Geological Potential (OGP) Areas Engaging International Agencies by Shri Piyush Goyal
Piyush Goyal Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines, will inaugurate the multisensory aero-geophysical survey of the Obvious Geological Potential (OGP) and adjoining areas of the country through video conferencing in the Constitution Club New Delhi tomorrow i.e. 7 April 2017.
● Two aircrafts equipped with geophysical sensors belonging to a consortium of service providers led by M/s McPhar International (India) with partners EON Geosciences Inc. (Canada) and Kiwi Air Ltd. (New Zealand) and brought from New-Zealand will be launched from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur for the aero-geophysical data acquisition.
● The other two selected agencies i.e. M/s Scientific Production Centre GEOKEN Ltd Liability Partnership (Kazakhstan) with Helica s.r.l (Italy) and Secon Pvt. Ltd. (India) and M/s IIC Technologies Ltd (India) along with Geophysics GPR International Inc. (Canada) and Goldak Airborne Surveys (Canada) will start their operations in the third week of April 2017.
The Mines Minister will also release a brochure of GSI on the Multi-sensor Aero-Geophysical Surveys over Obvious Geological Potential and adjoining areas.
Indian Railways to redevelop 400 major stations
Railways have planned to redevelop about 400 ‘A-1’ and ‘A’ category stations, including Delhi, with private participation, Lok Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
● Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu said the Railways have advertised its plan for about 400 ‘A-1’ and ‘A’ category stations which are generally located in major cities and important tourist destinations on ‘as is where is’ basis for redevelopment.
● He said during Question Hour that the process has been started by inviting proposals from interested parties with their designs and business ideas.
● Prabhu said the entire cost of the station redevelopment is to be met by leveraging commercial development of spare railway land/air space in and around the station.
● The process is designed to be completely transparent and to obtain best in class designs from developer.
● The programme is conceived to be cash-neutral to the Railways, rather it is expected to yield earnings for the Railways in the form of premium submitted by the developers.
● 1,253 railway stations have been identified for upgradation by the Indian Railways under the ongoing ‘Adarsh station’ scheme.
Expats in India for over 182 days need Aadhaar for I-T
Expatriates who have stayed for at least 182 days in India a year before July 1, 2017, need to apply for Aadhaar if they are filing tax returns in the country.
● Else, they would have to file returns by June 30 this year.
● The income tax (I-T) department clarified that foreign nationals who stayed less than 182 days need not quote the Aadhaar number in their I-T returns.
● According to the Aadhaar Act, 2016, those who have stayed in India for at least 182 days (almost six months) in a year preceding the date of application for Aadhaar are considered residents.
● The requirement of mandatorily quoting the Aadhaar number is effective from July 1.
● This means that those who have stayed in India for more than almost six months between June 30, 2016, and July 1, 2017, need to quote their Aadhaar number.
● Thus, those who were in India for at least 182 days a year prior to July 2017 and are required to file income tax returns will need to get Aadhaar.
● If these expatriates have left India, they will have to come back to apply for Aadhaar as it requires biometric details, said Naveen Wadhwa of Taxmann.
● The other option before them is to file the returns before June 30, he said.

● This is an exclusive website to share all information related to the NPDRR and keep updating delegates on daily basis about the meeting.
● The 2nd meeting of the NPDRR will be held in the last week of April this year in New Delhi on the theme 'Disaster Risk Reduction for Sustainable Development: Making India Resilient by 2030'.
● The first meeting of NPDRR was held during May 13 -14, 2013 in New Delhi on the theme 'Mainstreaming DRR in Development: From Risk to Resilience'.
● The NPDRR is a multi-stakeholder National Platform headed by the Union Home Minister and consists of representatives from Central Government, State Governments, Local Self Governments, Parliament, Specialised agencies dealing with disaster, Institutions of National Importance, Industry, Media, Civil Society Organizations and International Organizations.
● The NPDRR promotes participatory decision making in disaster management and strengthens federal policy of our country.

The Reserve Bank has appointed Malvika Sinha as Executive Director following the appointment of B P Kanungo as Deputy Governor.

Sports Minister Vijay Goel approves appointment of Foreign Coaches in Athletics
Union Minister of State (I/C) for Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Vijay Goel has approved appointment of foreign coaches and support staff in discipline of athletics.
● He said that his ministry is committed to provide best possible help and support, sports infrastructure and equipments to athletes in their training for preparation and participation in international competitions.
● He said appointments of foreign coaches and support staff have been made upto 2020 Olympics and they will be subject to performance review annually.

Kohli named Wisden's Leading Cricketer of the Year Award 2016
2017 edition of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack India's ace batsman Virat Kohli on 5 April 2017 was named the Leading Cricketer in the World for 2016.
● The announcement was made in the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack, which is also often referred to as the ‘Bible of the Cricket.’
● Kohli also features on the cover of the 2017 edition of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack.
● It shows the cricketer playing a reverse sweep in a Test match.
● Two Pakistani cricketers, Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan, have been named in the list of the five Cricketers of the Year. It is the first time since 1997.
● The other Cricketers of the Year are Ben Duckett, Toby Roland-Jones, and Chris Woakes.
● Ellyse Perry was named the Leading Woman Cricketer in the World.

केन्द्रीय विद्युत, कोयला, नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा तथा खान राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री पीयूष गोयल कल 07 अप्रैल, 2017 को नई दिल्ली के कंस्टीटयूशन क्लब में प्रत्यक्ष भू-विज्ञानी क्षमता (ओजीपी) पर वायु भू-भौतिकी सर्वेक्षण का उद्घाटन विडियों कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से करेंगे।
● वायु भू-भौतिकी डाटा संग्रह के लिए न्यूजीलैंड से मंगाये गये भू-भौतिकी संसरो से लैस दो विमान डॉक्टर बाबा साहेब आम्बेडकर हवाई अड्डा, नागपुर से लॉच किए जाएंगे।
● यह विमान सेवा प्रदाताओं के कंसोर्टियम के हैं और इन्हें ईआंएन जियो साइंसेज कंपनी कनाडा तथा किवी एयर लिमिटेड न्यूजीलैंड की साझेदारी में मेसर्स मेक्फॉर इंटरनेशनल (भारत) द्वारा प्रदान किये गये हैं।

● कठोर चट्टानी क्षेत्रों में खनन की पारंपरिक भू-विज्ञानी तरीकों के भरपूर उपयोग के बाद भू-विज्ञानी, भू-रसायन, भू-भौतिकी तथा दूरसंवेदी डाटा एकत्रित करने के लिए नये तरीके अपनाने की आवश्यकता हुई। क्षेत्रीय बहु संवेदी वायु भू-भौतिकीय सर्वेक्षण को कम समय में छुपी हुई खान सामग्री क्षेत्र को उजागर करने का महत्वपूर्ण तरीका माना गया है।
● ऑस्ट्रेलिया, कनाडा जैसे देशों के अतिरिक्त विश्व के अनेक हिस्सों में गुणवत्ता सम्पन्न वायु भू-भौतिकी डाटा उपलब्ध हैं और इसके परिणामस्वरूप उन क्षेत्रों की पहचान में मदद मिली है जहां बड़ी मात्रा में खान सामग्री छिपी है।
400 रेलवे स्टेशन का पुनर्निर्माण
अपनी तरह के पहले मेगा डिजिटल लॉन्च के जरिए रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने नई दिल्ली में रेलवे की एक महत्वाकांक्षी योजना की शुरुआत की.
● इस योजना के तहत भारतीय रेलवे तीन चरणों में 400 प्रमुख रेलवे स्टेशनों के पुनर्विकास पर कार्य करेगी.
● समूचे भारतीय रेलवे पर एक साथ शुरू किए गए इस डिजिटल लॉन्च में देशभर के 23 रेलवे स्टेशनों से रेलवे के आला अफसरों ने हिस्सा लिया.
● नई तरह से विकसित किए जाने वाले इन 400 रेलवे स्टेशनों पर रेलयात्रियों को विश्व स्तर के रेलवे स्टेशनों वाली सुविधाएं प्रदान की जाएंगी.
● ये स्टेशन पब्लिक-प्राइवेट भागीदारी (पी.पी.पी.) मॉडल के आधार पर विकसित किए जाएंगे.
● इनके विकास के लिए रेलवे पर वित्तीय रूप से कोई दबाव नहीं होगा.
● पुनर्विकसित किए जाने वाले ये रेलवे स्टेशन डिजिटल साइन बोर्ड, एस्केलेटर/एलीवेटर सेल्फ टिकटिंग काउंटर, एग्जीक्यूटिव लाउंज, लगेज स्क्रीन मशीन, पैदल रास्ते, रेलयात्रियों के लिए हॉल्डिंग एरिया, बड़ी और नई तरह की छत एवं फर्श, नि:शुल्क व भुगतान वाले वाई-फाई इत्यादि की सुविधाएं रेलयात्रियों को प्रदान करेंगे.
● इस कार्यक्रम से देश के 100 शहरों और एक करोड़ साठ लाख रेलयात्रियों को लाभ पहुंचेगा.
भारत में 182 दिन से अधिक रहने वाले प्रवासियों को इनकम टैक्स भरने के लिए देना होगा आधार कार्ड
सरकार ने बुधवार को कहा कि भारत में रहकर नौकरी या व्यापार करने वाले ऐसे विदेशियों के लिए भी आधार कार्ड जरूरी होगा, जो 182 दिनों से अधिक समय से यहां रह रहे हों और भारत में इनकम टैक्स भरते हैं।
● सेंट्रल बोर्ड और डायरेक्ट टैक्सेस (CBDT) ने स्टेटमेंट जारी कर यह बात कही है।
● सीबीडीटी ने साफ किया है कि जो प्रवासी 12 महीनों में 182 दिन या इससे अधिक दिनों से भारत में रह रहे हैं और यहां टैक्स चुका रहे हैं उन्हें आधार कार्ड के लिए आवेदन जरूरी है।
● अभी तक बहुत से प्रवासी यह उम्मीद कर रहे थे कि उन्हें आधार से छूट मिल सकती है।
● आधिकारिक बयान में कहा गया है, ‘यह स्पष्ट किया जाता है कि आधार या नामांकन आईडी का ब्योरा उन लोगों को देना होगा जो आधार नंबर पाने के पात्र हैं।
● आयकर कानून की धारा 139 एए के तहत आधार नंबर देना उन लोगों के लिए अनिवार्य नहीं होगा जो आधार कानून, 2016 के मुताबिक निवासी नहीं हैं।'
● कानून के तहत निवासी से तात्पर्य उन लोगों से है जो नामांकन के लिए आवेदन करने की तारीख से पहले कम से कम 12 महीने या कुल 182 दिन तक भारत में रहे हैं।
● आधार (वित्तीय और अन्य सब्सिडी की लक्षित आपूर्ति, लाभ और सेवा) कानून, 2016 के तहत सिर्फ निवासी को ही आधार नंबर प्राप्त करने का अधिकार है।

केंद्रीय गृह राज्य मंत्री श्री हंसराज गंगाराम अहीर ने आज यहां आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण (एनपीडीआरआर) पर राष्ट्रीय मंच की आगामी दूसरी बैठक के लिए वेबसाइट http://npdrr2-mha.net.in की शुरूआत की।
● यह एनपीडीआरआर से संबंधित सभी सूचनाओं को साझा करने और बैठक के बारे में दैनिक आधार पर प्रतिनिधियों को अद्यतन रखने के लिए यह एक विशेष वेबसाइट है।
● एनपीडीआरआर की दूसरी बैठक इस वर्ष नई दिल्ली में अप्रैल के आखिरी सप्ताह में आयोजित होगी और बैठक का विषय 'स्थायी विकास के लिए आपदा जोखिम न्यूनीकरण: भारत को 2030 तक लचीला बनाना' है।
● एनपीडीआरआर की पहली बैठक 13 मई, 2013 को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित की गई थी, जिसका विषय था 'विकास में मुख्यधारा डीआरआर- जोखिम से लचीलापन'।
● एनपीडीआरआर केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री की अध्यक्षता वाला एक बहु-हितधारक राष्ट्रीय मंच है, जिसमें केंद्र सरकार, राज्य सरकार, स्थानीय स्वशासन, संसद, आपदा से संबंधित विशेष एजेंसियों, राष्ट्रीय महत्व के संस्थानों, उद्योग, मीडिया, सिविल सोसायटी संगठनों के प्रतिनिधि शामिल हैं।

आरबीआई की कार्यकारी निदेशक बनीं मालविका
भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) ने मालविका सिन्हा को कार्यकारी निदेशक नियुक्त किया है।
● उनकी नियुक्ति बीपी कानूनगो को डिप्टी गवर्नर बनाए जाने के बाद की गई है।
● मालविका ने तीन अप्रैल से कार्यभार संभाल लिया है।
● रिजर्व बैंक ने बताया कि कार्यकारी निदेशक के तौर पर मालविका के पास विदेशी विनिमय विभाग, सरकार एवं बैंक खाता विभाग और आंतरिक ऋण प्रबंधन शाखा की जिम्मेदारी होगी।
● कानून के डिप्टी गवर्नर बनने से पहले वह इस पद पर कार्यरत थे।
● कार्यकारी निदेशक के रूप में, वह विदेशी मुद्रा विभाग, सरकार के विभाग और बैंक खातों और आंतरिक ऋण प्रबंधन शाखा की देखभाल करेंगे।
● कनूनगो, रिजर्व बैंक के कार्यकारी निदेशक थे, उन्हें उप-गवर्नर पद के पद से हटाया जा रहा था।
● सिन्हा 1982 में रिजर्व बैंक में शामिल हुए थे और विनियमन और पर्यवेक्षण, विदेशी मुद्रा और सरकार और बैंक खातों के क्षेत्र में कार्यरत थे।
केन्द्रीय खेल मंत्री विजय गोयल ने एथलेटिक्स में विदेशी कोचों की नियुक्ति की स्वीकृति दी
केन्द्रीय युवा मामलों तथा खेल राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री विजय गोयल ने एथलेटिक्स में विदेशी कोचों और सपोर्ट स्टाफ की नियुक्ति की स्वीकृति दे दी है।
● उन्होंने कहा कि उनका मंत्रालय एथलेटिक में तैयारी के लिए प्रशिक्षण और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्पर्धाओं में भागीदारी में सहायता देने, खेल अवसंरचना बनाने और उपकरण उपलब्ध कराने के लिए संकल्पबद्ध है।
● उन्होंने बताया कि विदेशी कोचों और सपोर्ट स्टाफ की नियुक्तियां 2020 ओलंपिक तक की गई हैं और उनके कार्य प्रदर्शन की वार्षिक समीक्षा की जाएगी।
● खेल सचिव की अध्यक्षता में विदेशी कोच चयन समिति द्वारा निम्नलिखित नियुक्तियों की सिफारिश की गई –

विज्डन ने विराट को चुना 2016 का दुनिया का शीर्ष क्रिकेटर
भारतीय कप्तान विराट कोहली ने आईपीएल 2017 से ठीक पहले एक उपलब्धि हासिल की जब विज्डन ने उन्हें वर्ष 2016 का विश्व का लीडिंग क्रिकेटर (शीर्ष क्रिकेटर) घोषित किया।विज्डन ने इसी वर्ष विराट को अपने मैग्जीन के कवर पर जगह दी थी।
● विराट यह सम्मान पाने वाले वीरेंद्र सहवाग और सचिन तेंडुलकर के बाद भारत के तीसरे क्रिकेटर बने। विज्डन ने सहवाग को 2008 और 2009 में वर्ष का लीडिंग क्रिकेटर चुना था जबकि सचिन तेंडुलकर 2010 में इस सम्मान से नवाजे गए थे।
● क्रिकेट की बाइबल के रूप में पहचानी जाने वाली विज्डन के संपादक लॉरेंस बूथ ने कहा कि 2016 का साल विराट के लिए स्वर्णिम सफलता वाला रहा है। इसमें खिलाड़ी द्वारा क्रिकेट के तीनों फॉर्मेट में किए गए प्रदर्शन का ध्यान रखा जाता है।
● जहां विराट को पुरुषों में, वहीं एलिस पैरी को महिला वर्ग में दुनिया का शीर्ष क्रिकेटर चुना गया। इनके अलावा मिस्बाह उल हक, यूनुस खान, बेन डकैट, टोबी रोलैंड-जोंस और क्रिस वोक्स को भी क्रिकेटर ऑफ द ईयर चुना गया।कोहली ने 2016 में टेस्ट मैचों में 75.93 के औसत से 1215 रन बनाए।
● उन्होंने 10 वनडे में 92.37 के औसत से 739 रन बनाए और टी20 मैचों में 106.83 के औसत से 641 रन बनाए। क्रिकेट के इतिहास में एक कैलेंडर इयर में कोहली से ज्यादा रन केवल छह बल्लेबाजों ने बनाए हैं।
