DEPWD (Divyangjan) will organize 'Cochlear Implant Awareness Program' in Faridabad tomorrow
●        The Divisions of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will organize 'Cochlear Implant Awareness Program' in Huda Convention Center, Sector-12, Faridabad (Haryana) on 6th May, 2018, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society and Sarvodaya Hospital and Research Center.
●        Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Krishna Pal Singh Gurjar will be the chief guest in the program.

Xiaomi is soon to be Initial Public Offerings
 
●        Xiaomi, a Chinese-making company, will soon be launching an inclusive public offering.

CBI filed FIR against former CMD of PEC
●        Central Investigation Agency CBI has registered a case against some of the company's former Chairman and Managing Director AK Mirchandani and 15 others, including former officials and two private companies, for alleged fraud of Rs 531 crore with government firm PEC Ltd.
 

Use of GIS Technology to Improve Namami Ganga Program
 
●        National Clean Ganga Mission (NMCG) on 4th May 2018, with the objective of completing the Ganga rejuvenation work by using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, was added to India's oldest department, Indian survey department, formed in 1767.
●        This project was approved in the meeting of the Executive Committee and its estimated cost is 86.84 crore rupees.
 
 
HRD Ministry launches online professional development program for higher education faculty
●        Ministry of Human Resource Development has started the online professional development program of 1.5 million Higher Education Faculty using the MOOC platform 'Self'.
●        In the first phase, 75 study-subjects special national resource centers have been identified.

●        British company Cambridge Analytica, who is in dispute for the Facebook data scandal, announced the closure of all its work with immediate effect today.
●        The company has also announced to apply itself to declare itself bankrupt in Britain and the United States.

The world's hottest day in the city of Pakistan
●        The situation of people in Pakistan is unhealthy. Mercury has crossed 50 degree Celsius on Monday in Nawabshah city of Pakistan.
●        The city, with a population of around 10 million, was the world's hottest day in the month of April.
●        Weather scientists believe that the world's highest temperature in April is in this city.

●        North Korea introduces its changed attitude with the time of its clocks forwarded half an hour to the time zone of South Korea.

Syria: The Rebellion surrendered

●        The space shuttle was launched at Atlanta V Rocket via the Wendenburg Air Force base in California at 4.35 pm International time.

●        The table tennis player Manika Batra, who won 4 medals including two gold in Commonwealth Games, was named by the Indian Table Tennis Federation (TTFI) today for the prestigious Arjuna Awards.
 
Mohamed Salah becomes Footballer of the Year
 
●        English Premier League club Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been declared the Football Writers' Association (FWA) as the Footballer of the Year for the 2017-18 season .
●        Salah has become the first African player to receive this award.
●        In his first season for Liverpool Club, Salah scored 43 goals in 48 matches to make his name.
