DEPWD (Divyangjan) will organize 'Cochlear Implant Awareness Program' in Faridabad tomorrow
●        The Divisions of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will organize 'Cochlear Implant Awareness Program' in Huda Convention Center, Sector-12, Faridabad (Haryana) on 6th May, 2018, in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society and Sarvodaya Hospital and Research Center.
●        Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Krishna Pal Singh Gurjar will be the chief guest in the program.

Use of GIS Technology to Improve Namami Ganga Program
 
●        National Clean Ganga Mission (NMCG) on 4th May 2018, with the objective of completing the Ganga rejuvenation work by using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, was added to India's oldest department, Indian survey department, formed in 1767.
●        This project was approved in the meeting of the Executive Committee and its estimated cost is 86.84 crore rupees.
 
 
HRD Ministry launches online professional development program for higher education faculty
●        Ministry of Human Resource Development has started the online professional development program of 1.5 million Higher Education Faculty using the MOOC platform 'Self'.
●        In the first phase, 75 study-subjects special national resource centers have been identified.

Mohamed Salah becomes Footballer of the Year
 
●        English Premier League club Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been declared the Football Writers' Association (FWA) as the Footballer of the Year for the 2017-18 season .
●        Salah has become the first African player to receive this award.
●        In his first season for Liverpool Club, Salah scored 43 goals in 48 matches to make his name.
