Prime Minister will inaugurate new building of Central Information Commission on March 6

●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new building of Central Information Commission (CIC) in Munirka, Delhi tomorrow.
●        From this new building the commission will be able to operate its operations from one place.
●        Before this, the functioning of the commission has been operating from the two buildings of the rented house.
●        The new building of CIC has been constructed by Green Building Technology from National Building Construction Corporation.
 
 Premium tag for coffee grown in the Araku valley

●        The Coffee Board has applied for the registration of Araku Coffee under geographical indications for the conservation of the distinctive identity of the coffee being developed by tribal communities of the Araku valley located in Visakhapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh.

Sanction of seven road rehabilitation projects for Madhya Pradesh

●        Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned seven road rehabilitation projects for Madhya Pradesh.
●        These projects will be completed in 18 months. This includes 48 months of road maintenance work.
●        On the Bamitha-Satna section of National Highway No. 75, the reconstruction and upgradation of 97.840 kilometer long two-lane road with a paved sliding and curved pavement will be completed under the EPC mode at a cost of 191.21 crores.
 
Uttar Pradesh Approves Five Road Revival Projects

●        The Standing Finance Committee of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved five road revival projects in Uttar Pradesh.
●        The existing road from Sunauli to Gorakhpur and Jungle Laudya to Mohdipurpur will be converted into four lanes by upgrading existing road on NH-29E through EPC mode.
●        The total length of the project is 17.52 km. It will be completed at a cost of 288.30 crores
 
Two road revival projects approved for Tamil Nadu

●        Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has approved two road revival projects in Tamil Nadu.
●        NH-234 (Gudiyatham Bypass and Vellore Bypass) on the existing two-lane road will be provided a permanent slope of 1.5 meters through EPC mode.
●        The total length of the project is 49.35 km.
●        It will be completed at a cost of 138.06 crores.
 
NHAI directed the Regional Officers to closely monitor the situation of National Highways

●        The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is making every effort to ensure that the National Highways are good, safe and convenient for road users and their maintenance is also excellent.

Central Cabinet approves establishment of National Financial Information Authority

Tanishq offers Zero loss to replace old gold

●        Tata Group's jewelry brand Tanishq has introduced 'zero loss' scheme for changing the old gold.
