Third National Conference of Health Editors on Yoga was held today in New Delhi
●        Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of AYUSH inaugurated the 3rd Conference of Health Editors on Yoga at Morarji Desai National Yoga Institute in New Delhi today.
●        Prior to International Yoga Day, this conference was organized jointly by Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga and the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.


Target to free Uttar Pradesh from defecation BY October 2, 2018
●        Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of Swachh Bharat Mission Rural (SBM-G) with all the jurisdictions through video conferencing last evening.
●        Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his commitment to achieve open defecation in the state from October 2, 2018 before the period of October 2, 2019.


A special and mechanized operating facility will be set up for Fertilizer Cargo at Deendayal Port in Kandla
●        The Standing Finance Committee of the shipping ministry has cleared a project to set up a special and fully integrated operation facility for fertilizer cargo at Deendayal port in Kandla.
●        This facility or unit will be developed on the berth number 4, which is being constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 138 crores.
 
 
NMCG organized an exhibition in Delhi on World Environment Day
●        Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari today visited the Pavilion established by NMCG on the occasion of World Environment Day in the Science Bhawan Lawn.
●        India is hosting World Environment Day this year. This year's World Environment Day theme is Beat Plastic Pulse.
●        The Minister of State for Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation, Shri UP Singh was also present on this occasion.

●        The Women and Child Development Ministry today organized a National Consultation Conference on Child Protection in New Delhi.
●        This conference was discussed in the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and Juvenile Justice Act (POSCO), 2012 from Sexual Offenses.
●        In the discussions, best practices and experiences were shared by the Police Department of various states.

 
Jordan's Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki resigns

 
●        Jordan's Prime Minister Hani al-Mulki announced on June 04, 2018, resigns between the ongoing protests across the country.
●        King Abdullah II of Jordan appointed former Education Minister Omar Razzazz to be the new Prime Minister.
●        Thousands of people demanding government's dismissal of the controversial Income Tax Reform Bill performed on the streets, due to which Mulki resigned.

●        According to Switzerland's investment bank UBS study, an employee works in Mumbai for an average of 3,314.7 hours a year, the highest in 77 major cities of the world.
●        It has also been said in the survey that even though the people of Mumbai work most, but are behind in earnings.
●        In this case Hanoi (Vietnam) second, Mexico City (Mexico) third and Delhi are in fourth place. Lagos (Nigeria) is at the top in terms of working for the shortest time.


Approval of forming agency to prevent women from displaying in vulgar form on social media
 
●        The Central Government has decided to create a central agency under the National Commission for Women to prevent women from being presented as indecent and rude in traditional and modern social media.
●        The Ministry of Women and Child Development has accepted the recommendation of Parliamentary Committee to amend the 'Women's Vulgar Formulation Act, 1986' on 04 June 2018.

IAF aircraft jaguar accident
●        On June 5, 2018, the Indian Air Force aircraft of the Indian Air Force, Jaguar, on a regular training flight, died on 0945 hrs on the Kutch area of Gujarat.
●        This aircraft was flying from Air Force station, Jamnagar.
●        Air crash pilot Air Commodore Sanjay Chauhan VM died in this accident.

Saudi Arabia starts issuing driver license to women
 
●        For the first time in Saudi Arabia, women have started driving licenses. Now women will also be able to drive a car.
●        The official Saudi Press Agency said on 04 June 2018 that the driving license of the first group of women was given.
●        In this regard Saudi Saudi Mohammed bin Salman issued an order in 2017, according to which women have been given the right to driving.

World Environment Day was celebrated all over the world
 
●        World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5, 2018 around the world. On every World Environment Day, the selection of a separate organizer country is organized where the official function is organized.
●        India has received the global hosting of World Environment Day 2018.
●        The first World Environment Day was celebrated on June 5, 1974.

●        In the inauguration of a program organized on the occasion of World Environment Day, 2018, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Nuclear Power and Space, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the North Eastern Region Development (Donor), Prime Minister's Office, Personnel, Public Grievances.
●        The program was organized jointly by the Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment and its partners.
●        This year, World Environment Day theme is "Beat plastic polution."
 
 
IRCTC launched a Khoi-based meal on the occasion of World Environment Day 2018
●        On the occasion of World Environment Day 2018, PSU IRCTC of the Ministry of Railways has introduced eco-friendly, khoi-based canned food in 8 selected Shatabdi and Rajdhani Trains, which operate from New Delhi.
●        Under the Green Program of Railways, the food provided by the Railways to the passengers in these trains will now be served in environmentally friendly disposable plate (compostable container) instead of polymers.
