A detailed exhibition based on Indian culture inaugurated in National Museum, New Delhi.
 
●        Union Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Mahesh Sharma will inaugurate an exhibition based on "India and World: History in nine stories" in New Delhi tomorrow.
●        The exhibition has been organized by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with British Museum London, National Museum New Delhi and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Museum (CSMVS) Mumbai.
●        The exhibition will be inaugurated at 5 o'clock in the National Museum Auditorium, New Delhi.
 

Minister of State for Human Resource Development gave awards to the authors of best technical books in Hindi
●        All India Technical Education Council organized today the Technical Text Book Award Scheme Festival in New Delhi.
●        Dr. Satyapal Singh, Minister of State for Human Resource Development gave Technical Text Book Awards for the year 2015-2016 scheme to the authors contributing significantly to the field of writing of technical Hindi books.
 

Ministry of Human Resource Development notified 75 National Resource Centers (NRC)
●        Ministry of Human Resource Development has launched a large and unique program of online professional development of 1.5 million high / education faculty using the MOOC platform 'Self'.
●        In the first phase, 75 study-subjects special national resource centers have been identified.


Railway Ministry announces awards for the beautification of station premises
●        With the aim of encouraging cleanliness with creativity, the Ministry of Railways invited the nomination from all the regional railway stations for the beautified stations.
●        Executive Director (Station Development), South Central Railway Chief Commercial Manager (Systems), Executive Director (Tourism) and an official evaluation committee of North East Frontier Railway reviewed 62 entries from 11 Regional Railways.
●        The first prize was given to Balharshah and Chandrapur stations (Nagpur Division) of Central Railway to showcase the best art as the most beautiful station in Indian Railways.
 

Indian Railways will celebrate 26th anniversary of women's special suburban train
●        May 5th is a happy day for Indian Railways and Women Travelers. Yesterday was the 26th anniversary of the operation of the first lady special train run between Churchgate and Borivali in Mumbai on May 05, 1992.
●        On May 05, 1992, the world's first woman special train was run between Churchgate and Borivali.
●        This train dedicated entirely to women by Indian Railways is a milestone.
 
 
Establishment of NWIC as a single window source of updated data on water resources
●        After approval from the Cabinet, National Water Information Center (NWIC) has recently been created by the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Protection in New Delhi.
●        See the notification issued on March 28, 2018 for this.
●        NWIC will be a collector of nation-wide water resources data and it will serve as a subordinate office of the Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Protection Ministry.
●        The head of this center will be an officer of the rank of Joint Secretary.

Indus Dolphin's first organized census started in India
●        The Punjab Government, together with WWF, started the census of dolphins found in the Indus river. This is the world's extinct mammal species.
●        Its aim is to preserve this species. The dolphin found in the Indus river is found only in the area of 185 km between India and Pakistan.
●        This dolphin is found in the Beas river of India between Talwara and Harike Port.
 

Now one time return filing system launched
●        GST Council approved the proposal to bring new models for Single Monthly Returns.
●        After chairing the 27th meeting of the GST Council, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that except for a few exceptions, there should be a need to file a single GST return in all taxpayers' month.
●        At this time they have to file several returns at the monthly level.

Powergrid targets capital expenditure of Rs 25,000 crore for the year 2018-19
●        Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the year 2018-19 with the Ministry of Power of the Government of India.
●        This MoU was signed by Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Secretary, Ministry of Power, Government of India and Mr. I.S., CMD, Powergrid CMD. Jha signed.
●        This MOU was signed in presence of senior officials of Power Ministry and Power Grid.
 

Revenue of telecom sector reduced by 8.6 percent
 
●        Revenue of telecom companies declined by Rs 8.56 lakh crore to Rs 2.55 lakh crore in 2017.
●        This led to the decline in the money received by the government as licensing fees and spectrum user charges.
●        According to the data of Indian Telecom Regulatory Authority, the gross turnover of telecom sector in the country was Rs 2.79 lakh crore in 2016.
●        According to this, the total collection of government by license fee decreased 18.78 percent in 2017, while the collection from spectrum user charges dropped by 32.81 percent.

NASA prepares to set up nuclear reactor on Mars
●        NASA tested a Space Nuclear Reactor on 02 May 2018, which would provide considerable convenience to astronauts who reached the moon and Mars in the future.
●        According to NASA, it was investigated under the Kilpower reactor using Stirling Technology (KRSTY) from November 2017 to March at the US National Nuclear Security Administration National (NNSA) and Nevada National Security site.

●        This will benefit Indian drug companies in exporting China medicine.
