Framework for Start-Up India Ranking
 
●    Union Commerce and Industry Minister today issued three standards for states and federal territories in New Delhi to get the ranking of the rank-ups.
●    These are the standard- the start-up ranking framework for the state and federal region, collection of best practices for encouraging the uptake in India and the start-up India kit.
●    There are around 20,000 startups in India and about 1,400 new start ups start every year.
 
Ministry of Railways signs MoU with AYUSH Ministry
 
●    Ministry of Railways and Ministry of AYUSH has decided to promote AYUSH facilities in the central and north-east marginal railway, Eastern Railway, Perambur Railway, South Railway.
●    A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Ayush in New Delhi today for this, in which under the new Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati regional hospitals, AYUSH services will be promoted.
 
Unmarried daughter will get property equal to son
 
●    Yogi Sarkar has taken important steps towards women empowerment.
●    Now unmarried daughters will get equal rights to sons.
●    For this, amendment will be amended in section 108 and section 110 of the Revenue Code.
●    On Tuesday the yogi cabinet has approved the amendment.
●    Amendment bill will also be introduced in the budget session beginning on February 8.

Saudi Arabia will use solar energy

Tata Motors net profit up 10x
 
●    Tata Motors recorded a consolidated net profit more than ten times during the December quarter.

●    However, Tata Motors performance was lower than the market's estimates due to the fading of the December 2017 quarter for Jaguar Land Rover Business.

Indian American Attorney Joins New Jersey Bar Association
 
●    Indian-American American attorney Prithvi Patel has been inducted into the New Jersey Bar Association.

●    Patel is the first beneficiary under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), which has been included in the New Jersey Bar Association.
●    Patel passed the examination of both the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, in 2016.
 
Record snowfall in Moscow 
 
●    In the Russian capital, one person was killed due to recorded snowfall, while five others were injured.
●    In Moscow, heavy snowfall is taking place with strong winds due to which normal life is badly affected.
●    On Monday, 43 cm snow fell.
●    Earlier in 1957 about 38 centimeters of snow fell.
 
 
UK allows birth of baby with three parents
 
●    British officers have allowed doctors to give birth to the first child of the country, who have three parents.

The most illiterate youth are in the crisis-stricken countries: UNICEF

India successfully tested Agni-I (A) Ballistic Missile
 
●    India tested indigenously developed nuclear-capable Agni-I (A) ballistic missile at 8.30 am on 06 February 2018 from Abdul Kalam Island, situated on the banks of Odisha.
●    This test was conducted by the Indian Army's Strategic Force Command.
●    India has Agni-I, Agni-II, Agni III and Agni IV and Supersonic Brahmos missiles at the present time.
 
Sudeep Lakhtakia appointed as Director General of NSG 
 
●    Sudeep Lakhtakia took charge as Director General of the National Security Guard (NSG) on February 01, 2018.
●    After the retirement of NSG chief SP Singh on January 31, 2018, the post was vacant.
●    The Appointment Committee of Cabinet (ACC), headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, issued the order on January 19, 2018, to appoint him as the NSG chief.
●    They will be in the post till July next year.
●    Sudeep Lakhtakia is a 1984 batch IPS officer of the Telangana cadre.
