7th Indian Navy Frigate of P1135.6 class was launched

•The seventh Indian Navy frigate of the P1135.6 class was launched at the Yantar Shipyard at Kaliningrad in Russia. The ship has been formally named as Tushil, a Sanskrit word that means protector shield. Tushil will be commissioned into the Indian Navy in mid-2023 followed by its sister ship by the end of 2023.

•The ship has been developed under the Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) between India and Russia in 2016 for the construction of four additional P1135.6 class ships for Indian Navy.

•Out of the four ships, two ships of Project 1135.6 ships were to be constructed in Russia and two ships in India at M/s Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL).

Haryana CM launched ‘Uttam Beej portal’

•Chief Minister (CM) of Haryana, Manohar Lal Khattar has launched the ‘Uttam Beej portal’ which will benefit the farmers of Haryana by providing quality seeds with transparency. The portal will provide transparency in the seed production programme arranged by both the Government and private seed producing agencies and ensure the quality of certified seeds.

•This seed portal has been linked with Meri Fasal Mera Byora Portal and Family Identity Card ID. Meri Fasal Mera Byora Portal offers particulars to all these farmers who’ve land or who’ve given their land on contract and should promote their crop. Farmers will now get good high-quality seeds, which can improve their manufacturing and revenue. Along with authorities businesses, non-public visa businesses will even should register.

IREDA launches 'whistle blower' portal to check fraud, abuse of power

•The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has launched a ‘Whistle-blower Portal’ as a part of the celebration of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week 2021’. The portal was launched by Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), IREDA on November 02, 2021.

•The Whistle-blower Portal has been developed by the IT Team of the company and will help the IREDA employees to raise concerns related to fraud, corruption, abuse of power among other things. The IREDA is a PSU under the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) established as a Non-Banking Financial Institution.

National Tribal Dance Festival 2021

•Chhattisgarh has observed the annual 2nd National Tribal Dance Festival 2021 at Raipur’s Science College ground as a part of the tourism development plan of the state. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister (CM) of Jharkhand Hemant Soren and CM of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel. This year’s event was clubbed with Chattisgarh’s Rajyotsava (state foundation day- November 1, 2021).

•The festival will host artists belonging to diverse tribal communities from countries including Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Syria, Mali, Palestine, and the Kingdom of Eswatini. The artists from tribal areas of Bastar, Dantewada, Koriya, Korba, Bilaspur, Gariabandh, Mainpur, Dhura, Dhamtari, Surguja and Jashpur in Chhattisgarh will represent their culture and traditions through their dance forms.

J&K team for deaf clinches 1st position in World Deaf Judo Championship

•The Jammu & Kashmir team for deaf clinched 1st position in World Deaf Judo Championship held at Paris Versailles, France. Rakshanda Mehak who is part of the Indian team for the deaf clinched the bronze medal by defeating the South Korean team in the semifinal. The championship was held at Versailles, France. The championship is organised by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf.

Harbhajan Singh, Javagal Srinath get MCC life membership

•The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has released the list of 18 Cricketers who were selected for the MCC awards Honorary Life Membership of the Club. The list witnessed the names of 2 former Indian cricketers – Harbhajan Singh and Javagal Srinath. This year’s list saw the names of 18 players, including 16 Male & 2 Female players (Sarah Taylor & Sara McGlashan).

National Sports Awards 2021

•Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya, Boxer Lovlina Borgohain and Indian men’s hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh, Para Shooter Avani Lekhara, Para Athlete Sumit Antil, Para-Badminton players Pramod Bhagat and Krishna Nagar, Para Shooter Manish Narwal, cricketer Mithali Raj, footballer Sunil Chhetri and Indian men’s hockey team captain Manprit Singh are the 12 sportspersons who will be honoured with the Khel Ratna the National Sports Awards 2021. Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the National Sports Awards 2021 on Tuesday. The awardees will receive their awards from the President of India at a specially organized function at the Darbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan on 13th November, 2021 (Saturday) at 1630 hrs. National Sports Awards are given every year to recognize and reward excellence in sports.

•‘Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award’ is given for the spectacular and most outstanding performance in the field of sports by a sportsperson over a period of previous four years.

Former Afghan Prime Minister Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai has passed away at the age of 77

•Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai, the former Prime Minister (PM) of Afghanistan and a renowned jihadi leader passed away at the age of 77 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai has served as the acting PM of Afghanistan under President Burhanuddin Rabbani during 1995-1996 prior to the 1996 Taliban Takeover.

Book “John Lang: Wanderer of Hindoostan, Slanderer of Hindoostanee, Lawyer for the Ranee” authored by Amit Ranjan

•Amit Ranjan authored a book titled “John Lang: Wanderer of Hindoostan, Slanderer of Hindoostanee, Lawyer for the Ranee”. The book is about John Lang’s life, his exploits, and literary works. He was an Australian journalist and lawyer who settled in India in the 19th century. He fought many cases against the British and also represented Rani Laxmibai in her legal battle against the annexation of her kingdom of Jhansi by the East India Company (EIC).

Bandhan Bank now an Agency Bank of RBI, to conduct govt business

•The Reserve Bank of India has now appointed Bandhan Bank as an Agency Bank of the RBI to conduct government business. Bandhan Bank now joins several other private banks that have been empanelled as an Agency Bank of the RBI. Bandhan Bank will now be authorised to handle transactions related to GST, VAT and the collection of state taxes.

P1135.6 वर्ग का 7वां भारतीय नौसेना फ्रिगेट लॉन्च किया गया

•P1135.6 वर्ग के सातवें भारतीय नौसेना के युद्धपोत को रूस के कलिनिनग्राद में यंतर शिपयार्ड में लॉन्च किया गया था। जहाज को औपचारिक रूप से तुशिल नाम दिया गया है, जो एक संस्कृत शब्द है जिसका अर्थ है रक्षक ढाल। तुशील को 2023 के मध्य में भारतीय नौसेना में शामिल किया जाएगा और उसके बाद 2023 के अंत तक इसके सहयोगी जहाज को शामिल किया जाएगा।

•भारतीय नौसेना के लिए चार अतिरिक्त P1135.6 श्रेणी के जहाजों के निर्माण के लिए 2016 में भारत और रूस के बीच अंतर-सरकारी समझौते (IGA) के तहत जहाज को विकसित किया गया है।

•चार जहाजों में से, परियोजना 1135.6 जहाजों के दो जहाजों का निर्माण रूस में और भारत में दो जहाजों का निर्माण मैसर्स गोवा शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड (जीएसएल) में किया जाना था।

हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री ने लॉन्च किया 'उत्तम बीज पोर्टल'

•हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री (सीएम), मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने 'उत्तम बीज पोर्टल' लॉन्च किया है, जो पारदर्शिता के साथ गुणवत्तापूर्ण बीज प्रदान करके हरियाणा के किसानों को लाभान्वित करेगा। पोर्टल सरकारी और निजी बीज उत्पादक एजेंसियों दोनों द्वारा आयोजित बीज उत्पादन कार्यक्रम में पारदर्शिता प्रदान करेगा और प्रमाणित बीजों की गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करेगा।

•इस बीज पोर्टल को मेरी फसल मेरा ब्योरा पोर्टल और परिवार पहचान पत्र आईडी से जोड़ा गया है। मेरी फसल मेरा ब्योरा पोर्टल उन सभी किसानों को विवरण प्रदान करता है जिनके पास जमीन है या जिन्होंने अपनी जमीन ठेके पर दी है और अपनी फसल को बड़ावा देना चाहिए। किसानों को अब उच्च गुणवत्ता वाले अच्छे बीज मिलेंगे, जिससे उनके उत्पादन और राजस्व में सुधार हो सकता है। सरकारी व्यवसायों के साथ-साथ निजी वीजा व्यवसायों को भी पंजीकरण कराना होगा।

इरेडा ने धोखाधड़ी, शक्ति के दुरूपयोग को रोकने के लिए 'व्हिसल ब्लोअर' पोर्टल लॉन्च किया

•भारतीय अक्षय ऊर्जा विकास एजेंसी लिमिटेड (IREDA) ने 'सतर्कता जागरूकता सप्ताह 2021' के उत्सव के एक भाग के रूप में एक 'व्हिसल-ब्लोअर पोर्टल' लॉन्च किया है। पोर्टल को श्री प्रदीप कुमार दास, अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक (सीएमडी), IREDA द्वारा 02 नवंबर, 2021 को लॉन्च किया गया था।

•व्हिसल ब्लोअर पोर्टल कंपनी की आईटी टीम द्वारा विकसित किया गया है और IREDA के कर्मचारियों को धोखाधड़ी, भ्रष्टाचार, सत्ता के दुरुपयोग से संबंधित चिंताओं को उठाने में मदद करेगा। IREDA एक गैर-बैंकिंग वित्तीय संस्थान के रूप में स्थापित नवीन और नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा मंत्रालय (एमएनआरई) के तहत एक सार्वजनिक उपक्रम है।

राष्ट्रीय जनजातीय नृत्य महोत्सव 2021

•छत्तीसगढ़ ने राज्य के पर्यटन विकास योजना के एक भाग के रूप में रायपुर के साइंस कॉलेज मैदान में वार्षिक द्वितीय राष्ट्रीय जनजातीय नृत्य महोत्सव 2021 मनाया है। इसका उद्घाटन झारखंड के मुख्यमंत्री (सीएम) हेमंत सोरेन और छत्तीसगढ़ के सीएम भूपेश बघेल ने किया। इस वर्ष के आयोजन को छत्तीसगढ़ के राज्योत्सव (राज्य स्थापना दिवस- 1 नवंबर, 2021) के साथ जोड़ा गया था।

•यह उत्सव उज्बेकिस्तान, नाइजीरिया, श्रीलंका, युगांडा, सीरिया, माली, फिलिस्तीन और किंगडम ऑफ एस्वातिनी सहित देशों के विविध आदिवासी समुदायों के कलाकारों की मेजबानी करेगा। छत्तीसगढ़ के आदिवासी क्षेत्रों बस्तर, दंतेवाड़ा, कोरिया, कोरबा, बिलासपुर, गरियाबंद, मैनपुर, धुरा, धमतरी, सरगुजा और जशपुर के कलाकार अपने नृत्य रूपों के माध्यम से अपनी संस्कृति और परंपराओं का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे।

बधिरों के लिए जम्मू-कश्मीर टीम ने विश्व बधिर जूडो चैंपियनशिप में पहला स्थान हासिल किया

•बधिरों के लिए जम्मू और कश्मीर टीम ने फ्रांस के पेरिस वर्साय में आयोजित विश्व बधिर जूडो चैंपियनशिप में पहला स्थान हासिल किया। रक्षंदा महक, जो बधिरों के लिए भारतीय टीम का हिस्सा हैं, ने सेमीफाइनल में दक्षिण कोरियाई टीम को हराकर कांस्य पदक जीता। चैंपियनशिप फ्रांस के वर्साय में आयोजित की गई थी। चैंपियनशिप का आयोजन बधिरों के लिए खेल की अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समिति द्वारा किया जाता है।

हरभजन सिंह, जवागल श्रीनाथ को मिली एमसीसी की आजीवन सदस्यता

•मेरिलबोन क्रिकेट क्लब (एमसीसी) ने 18 क्रिकेटरों की सूची जारी की है, जिन्हें एमसीसी पुरस्कार क्लब की मानद आजीवन सदस्यता के लिए चुना गया था। इस सूची में 2 पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटरों - हरभजन सिंह और जवागल श्रीनाथ के नाम है। इस वर्ष की सूची में 16 पुरुष और 2 महिला खिलाड़ियों (सारा टेलर और सारा मैकग्लाशन) सहित 18 खिलाड़ियों के नाम है।

अफगानिस्तान के पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अहमद शाह अहमदजई का 77 वर्ष की आयु में निधन हो गया

•अफगानिस्तान के पूर्व प्रधान मंत्री (पीएम) और एक प्रसिद्ध जिहादी नेता अहमद शाह अहमदजई का 77 वर्ष की आयु में काबुल, अफगानिस्तान में निधन हो गया। अहमद शाह अहमदज़ई ने 1996 तालिबान अधिग्रहण से पहले 1995-1996 के दौरान राष्ट्रपति बुरहानुद्दीन रब्बानी के अधीन अफगानिस्तान के कार्यवाहक प्रधान मंत्री के रूप में कार्य किया है।

•अमित रंजन ने "जॉन लैंग: वांडरर ऑफ हिंदोस्तान, स्लैंडरर ऑफ हिंदोस्तानी, लॉयर फॉर द रानी" नामक पुस्तक लिखी। पुस्तक जॉन लैंग के जीवन, उनके कारनामों और साहित्यिक कार्यों के बारे में है। वह एक ऑस्ट्रेलियाई पत्रकार और वकील थे जो 19वीं शताब्दी में भारत में बस गए थे। उन्होंने अंग्रेजों के खिलाफ कई मामले लड़े और ईस्ट इंडिया कंपनी (ईआईसी) द्वारा उनके झांसी के राज्य के अधिग्रहण के खिलाफ कानूनी लड़ाई में रानी लक्ष्मीबाई का प्रतिनिधित्व भी किया।

बंधन बैंक अब सरकारी कारोबार करने के लिए आरबीआई का एक एजेंसी बैंक

•भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने अब बंधन बैंक को सरकारी कारोबार के संचालन के लिए आरबीआई के एजेंसी बैंक के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। बंधन बैंक अब कई अन्य निजी बैंकों में शामिल हो गया है जिन्हें आरबीआई के एजेंसी बैंक के रूप में सूचीबद्ध किया गया है। बंधन बैंक अब जीएसटी, वैट और राज्य करों के संग्रह से संबंधित लेनदेन को संभालने के लिए अधिकृत होगा।
