●        The Ministry of Culture organized a high level stakeholder workshop on Taj Mahal in Agra today.
●        Under the chairmanship of the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Culture and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, this meeting was convened to discuss the issues of pollution around the Taj Mahal.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches Rupay Cards, Bhima and SBI App in Singapore
 
●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Rupay Card, BHIM and SBI App in Singapore on May 31, 2018.
●        India's digital payment system has been linked to Singapore's 33-year-old Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS).
●        All users of the Rupee will be able to pay in Singapore where all the NETs are acceptable.
 
 
Central Government constitutes 'Kaveri Water Management Authority'
 
●        The Central Government has constituted Cauvery Water Management Authority in accordance with the directions of the Supreme Court for resolution of the June 1, 2018 Cauvery Water Distribution Dispute.
●        This Authority will resolve the dispute over the sharing of river water between Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Puducherry.
●        The Supreme Court had directed the Central Government to constitute an Authority within six weeks of order on February 16, 2018.
 

President Ramnath Kovind approves the National Sports University Ordinance
 
●        President, Ramnath Kovind, has approved the Union Cabinet Ordinance for making the country's first National Sports University in Manipur on 01.01-2018.
●        National Sports University Ordinance, 2018 has been implemented after the President's approval.
●        The Union Cabinet had approved the creation of the first National Sports University in Imphal on May 23, 2018.


Delay of trains will impact on promotion of officials 
●        Railways have now decided that if there is a delay in the operation of trains, then it will have an impact on promotions of the concerned officers.
●        Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has warned the heads of all Jones of Railways that their appraisal will be affected if delayed by rail services.
●        Ministry has given the officials one month's time to ensure the operation of the trains at the time of the train.
