Clean India summer training program will start tomorrow
●        The Prime Minister had called on October 2, 2014 to devote 100 hours to cleanliness for each person in one year.
●        Keeping this in mind, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation launched the Swachh Bharat Summer Training Program in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and Human Resource Development.
●        The training period has been scheduled from 01 May 2018 to 31 July 2018.
 

Government launches pilot project of 2,500 MW power purchase for three years
●        The government launched a pilot scheme for purchasing power of 2,500 MW of power for a period of three years under medium term.
●        This scheme is for those power producers whose projects have been started, but the energy purchase agreement has not been entered into with them.
●        Ministry of Power has recently released Model Bidding Form, Model PAPP and Model PPSA on 06th April, 2018.

Electricity reached in every village of the country
●        Under the Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti Yojana, the goal of brightening every village was achieved on April 28, 2018.
●        India has now become a fully lighted country.
●        Along with light bulbs in the village of Liesang village of Manipur, India has achieved the goal of 100 percent electrification.
 

Pawan Chamling is the longest serving Chief Minister.
●        Chief Minister of Sikkim, Pawan Chamling has become the first chief minister of any state in the history of India for the longest time.
●        Pawan Chamling completed the term of 25 years without any interruption on April 30, 2018.
●        Earlier, Jyoti Basu's record of being the longest chief minister was.
●        Jyoti Basu took over as Chief Minister of West Bengal for 23 years.

The first military exercise on Malaysia's land till now
●        Joint exercises between the Indian Army and the Malaysian Army began on April 30 in the Wardenbury camp in Kuala Lumpur with a brief and effective delivery of the Harimou Shakti-2018 military ceremony.
●        Take the Commanding Officer of the first Royal Ranger Regiment of Malaysia Army Colonel Irvan Ibrahim welcomed the Indian troop and wished Indian and Malaysian troops to succeed in a successful and mutually beneficial joint practice.


Brahmos will be the world's fastest missile
 
●        The world's fastest cruise missile Brahmos will be able to achieve hypersensitive capability in ten years with the engine of much better technology and cross the Mac-7.
●        This missile has been developed jointly by India and Russia.
●        DRDO, IIT and Indian Science Institute are working together to achieve this target.


Defense Purchase Council approves arms purchase of 3687 crores
●        Defense Purchase Council sanctioned the purchase of weapons worth Rs. 3687 crores.
●        These weapons include guns used on warships for the country's anti-tank nag missiles and navy for the army.
●        Defense Purchase Council headed by Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave its approval for the procurement of 300 Naga anti-tank missile systems for the army at a cost of 524 crore.

Pakistan announces the launch of space programs
●        Pakistan is in the process of starting its space program in the next financial year (2018-19).
●        Rs. 470 crores will be spent on this program by the Pakistan Government.
●        Its purpose is to eliminate dependence on foreign aid for satellite programs.

India-Pakistan will take part in military exercises for the first time
●        India and Pakistan will be together for the first time in a multinational military exercise to be held in Russia in September 2018.
●        In this military exercise organized to curb terrorist activities, China and many other countries will also be involved.
●        This military exercise will be done under the scope of SCO.
 

 Accusation of data theft on Prok Shaw
●         
●        Indigo Airlines Company's new Chief Operating Officer Wolfgang Prok Shawar has been charged with data theft.
●        Prok was earlier managing director in GoAir and joined Indigo in February 2018.
●        At the peak, his former company has accused theft of confidential data.
●        A case has been filed against them in the Bombay High Court.

UK Home Minister resigns over immigration scam
●        Britain's Home Minister Amber Rudd has resigned from the post because of the increased pressure on officials who have long been a citizen of British citizens for making illegal illegal immigrants scam .

Snapdeal faced Rs.4,647 crores loss
 
●        E-commerce company Snapdeal suffered a loss of Rs 4,647 crore in the financial year 2016-17.
●        Jaspar Infotech, a company operating in Snapdeal, told the corporate affairs ministry that it had lost Rs 3,340 crore in 2015-16.
●        During the financial year ending March 31, 2017, the total income of the company fell by 12.6 percent to Rs. 1,291.30 crore compared to Rs. 1,478.20 crore.
 
SoftBank will invest more than $ 10 billion target
 
●        Japan's Softbank Group connected to the business of telecom and Internet will complete its target of investing $ 10 billion in 10 years in India, much before the time.
●        Softbank Chairman Masayoshi Son told that he has invested more than $ 7 billion in India in the last four years.
●        Softbank, which holds investments in large companies like Flipkart and Ola in India, has a fund of $ 100 billion.

Indian junior hockey team wins gold in Youth Olympics qualifiers
 
●        India's junior men's hockey team defeated Malaysia 2-1 in the Youth Olympics qualifiers in a shootout.
●        With this win, India will get an opportunity to participate in the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Buenos Aires in August.
●        This tournament was played in the format of Hockey Five. Match tied 4-4 at the scheduled time.
 
Barcelona won Spanish league title
●        Along with Lionel Messi's hat-trick, Barcelona defeated Deportiva Club 4-2 to win the Spanish League title.
●        Earlier this week Barcelona had named Spain's Copa del Rey as their name.
