Coca Cola, Infosys and others will fight in collaboration against plastic pollution in India
 
●        Many companies, including Coca-Cola, Infosys and Hilton, have taken the lead in tackling plastic pollution in India.
●        The government is making conscious efforts on the concept of 'Beat plastic pollution ' among people in the celebration of World Environment Day on 5th June .
 
 

Idea will become Vodafone Idea
●        Idea is close to completion of the merger process in Vodafone . In the same episode, the Idea Cellular Board has called the Extraordinary General Meeting on June 26 in which name of 'Idea Cellular Limited' will be changed to 'Vodafone Idea Limited'.
●        Apart from this, the Board's plan will also be considered in Extraordinary General Meeting, which aims to raise Rs 15,000 crore through non-convertible securities.


Gold import from Russia can be done on bonded basis
 
●        To help the Gem and Jewelry Exporters , the central government is considering a proposal to import gold from Russia . It will be conditioned that the exporters will export it back after the value addition of the entire consignment of gold.
●        Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu gave this information on Thursday.


Central Government launches 'Online Analysis Tool' to oversee foreign contribution under FCRA
 
●        Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh launched an online analysis tool for overseeing foreign fund flows and its use under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 on 01 June 2018.
●        Web based tool has the ability to find and analyze large data.
●        Its dashboard will be connected to FCRA registered bank accounts and it will provide updated information on real-time through public financial management system.
 
 
President Ramnath Kovind approves the National Sports University Ordinance
 
 
●        President, Ramnath Kovind, has approved the Union Cabinet Ordinance for making the country's first National Sports University in Manipur on 01.01-2018.
●        National Sports University Ordinance, 2018 has been implemented after the President's approval.
●        The Union Cabinet had approved the creation of the first National Sports University in Imphal on May 23, 2018.


Sisi becomes President of Egypt again
 
●        Egyptian President Abdul Fatah al-Sisi took oath on Saturday for the second term of his four year term as President.
●        Sisi had won 97 percent of the valid votes in the presidential election held in March last year.
●        He took oath in front of members of his government in the House.
 
Former Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk took oath as the acting Prime Minister
 
●        Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasirul Mulk took oath of office of Pakistan's seventh acting Prime Minister on Friday.
●        Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain administered him oath in Islamabad.
●        The name of the country was announced by Khurshid Shah, the leader of the opposition, in a press conference after meeting with Prime Minister Shahid Khakan Abbasi and speaker Aiyaz Sadiq of the National Assembly.

Discus Throwing Athlete Vikas Gowda retired
 
●        Top Athlete Vikas of Chakka Throw (Discus throw) Gaura retired on Wednesday after playing at a competitive level for more than 15 years .
●        During this time, he became the first and only Indian male athlete to win a medal in this Commonwealth Games event .
 
Pro Kabaddi League auction includes 422 players
