United Bank of India's Chairman and Managing Director fraud case
 
●        The CBI has filed a lawsuit against United Bank of India former chairman and managing director Archana Bhargava for having over Rs 6 crore from the known sources of alleged.
●        The agency alleged that during the senior positions between 2004 and 2014 in various banks, Archana collected assets worth Rs 4.89 crore and also spent Rs 1.47 crore, while in the meantime, her income was Rs 2.73 crore.

Venkatesh Prasad quits as chairman of Junior Selection Committee
 
●        Former Indian fast bowler Venkatesh Prasad resigned from the post of national junior selection committee on Friday.
●        Prasad stayed for 30 months in this post and within a month of becoming India's winner in the Under-19 World Cup, he made this decision.
●        Prasad has left this post for personal reasons. They have said that they want to avoid the conflict of interests.

New 2018 Maruti-Suzuki Ciaz will be launched in August
 
●        The Facelift version of Marine -Suzuki's Sedan Ciaz is ready to be launched in August this year.
●        It was expected that India's largest car maker will introduce this sedan in the auto expo last month.

●        Calling the CBI court to send Karti to the 14-day police remand, Additional Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the present case is "a small part".
 
Union Cabinet clears agreement between India and Jordan on issues related to customs duties
 
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the agreement between India and Jordan regarding cooperation and mutual administrative assistance in matters relating to customs duties on February 28, 2018.
●        The agreement will help in providing appropriate information for the prevention of customs offenses and their investigation.
●        With this agreement, there is a possibility of increasing trade between the two countries and speeding clearance for commodities to be traded.

Successful test of drone rustam-2


●        Indian Defense Research Organization (DRDO) successfully tested the indigenous Drone Rustam-2 from its test center located in Chitradurga district of Karnataka on February 25, 2018.
●        This drone has been made in India itself.
●        The information released by the DRDO states that the drone flying up to medium height and long period has been developed for the three branches of the Army.
●        Rustam-2 has the ability to fly continuously for 24 hours at a time and it can be constantly monitored and can carry weapons as well.
 
21st National Conference on e-governance started in Hyderabad
 
●        The 21st National Conference on e-governance started in Hyderabad on February 26, 2018.
●        The conference is being organized by the Government of India with the administrative reforms and Public Grievances Department (DARPG), the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the Telangana Government.
 
Organizing the largest marine naval exercise Milan-2011 in Andaman Nicobar
 
●        In the second week of March 2018, the Indian Navy is going to organize the largest marine naval exercise Milan-2011, in Andaman Nicobar so far.
●        This exercise will be organized from 06 March to 13 March in Port Blair under the auspices of Navy's Andaman Nicobar Command.
●        For the first time to participate in maneuvers, together with 22 countries of the world Navy will be involved in India.

Asian Wrestling Championship: Navjot won gold medal
 
●        Indian woman wrestler Navjot Kaur won gold medal in Asian Wrestling Championship on Friday.
●        Navjot won this medal by defeating Mia Emai of Japan in the 65 kg category by defeating 9-1.
●        The final of the Asian Wrestling Championship was played between Navojot and Miya in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

India tests 'Dhanush' missile equipped with nuclear power
 
●        India successfully tested a nuclear submarine bent ballistic missile with a naval vessel near Odisha coast on February 23, 2018.
●        The Surface-to-surface missile was tested in a vessel posted near Paradip in the Bay of Bengal.
●        Missile testing and its flight performance were monitored by Radar facilities and Telemetry of DRDO (Telemopy) in Odisha shore.
 
 
India will host the first International Solar Coalition Summit on March 11
 
●        India is hosting the first International Solar Coalition (ISA) Summit on March 11, 2018.
●        This summit will be held in Delhi.
●        French President Emmanuel Macron and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres will attend the first International Solar Coalition Summit.
●        Heads of African countries, presidents of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, South American co-conspirators and leaders of Pacific Islands are expected to attend the summit.
