India Signed a $ 21.7 million loan agreement with the World Bank for Rajasthan Project
●        For the strengthening of public financial management in the Rajasthan Project, a loan agreement of US $ 21.7 million was signed with World Bank.
●        On behalf of the Rajasthan Government on the implementation unit agreement signed by the Secretary (Finance) and the World Bank on behalf of World Bank (India) Acting Country Director.
●        This project is of US $ 31 million, out of which 21.7 million US dollars will be taken from the World Bank and the balance from the state budget.
 
 
More than 1,65,000 people got profit between 2015-18 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban)
●        Under the Credit Linked Scheme, more than 1,65,000 people have benefited between the year 2015-18.
●        Between 2008 and 2013, only 18,166 people got the benefit of the scheme of interest subsidy.
●        The performance of the present plan has been spectacular and more people have received benefits than before.

Receipt app and web portal launch to bring transparency in the electricity payments to customers
●        Minister of State for Power (Independent Charge) Shri R.K. Singh launched today's web portal and app procurement (payment confirmation and electricity purchase analysis to bring transparency in the invoices of producers) www.praapti.in .
●        The acquisition app and web portals have been developed to bring transparency among electricity producers and power distribution companies in power purchase.
●        This app and web portals will capture invoices and payment data from electricity producers for various long term power purchase agreements.
 

Use of blockchain technology to ban unwanted calls, SMS
 
●        Telecom Regulator TRAI issued a new draft of rules for reinforcing unwanted phone calls and SMS , in which it has proposed the use of Blockchain Technology .
●        The regulator wants to ensure through the use of BlockChain Technology that the telemarketing people have received phone or SMS only who have given their number for it.
 
 
India will raise issue of Neem, turmeric and Ashwagandha patents in Geneva
●        India is next month co-organizer of the International Brainstorming session on the growing commercial use of natural materials.
●        In this event, there will be issues related to the financial misuse of natural products and patents given without proper compensation to communities related to it.
 
 
Ultratech will buy Binani Cement 
 
●     UltraTech will buy Binani cement 
●        The company's lenders decided to sell the company to the country's largest cement producer in a meeting lasting seven hours on Monday.

●        134th Convocation of National Defense Academy (NDA) course concluded in Pune today.

●        336 cadets were awarded degrees on behalf of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
●        Among the recipients, 81 cadets of science, 191 cadets of Computing Science and 64 cadet arts.

National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO) doubled net profit
●        National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), which has achieved the global standard of being a low cost manufacturing company in manufacturing bauxite mining and aluminum, has proved its potential by performing well in the physical and financial sectors.
●        According to the financial results of the year 2017-18 presented to Board of Directors on May 26, 2018, NALCO registered an increase of more than 100 per cent, i.e. an increase of Rs 1,342.19 crore compared to Rs 669 crore in the previous year, during the financial year 2017-18.

ED seized assets worth Rs 177 crore of Rotomac
 

●        Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday said that it has seized assets worth Rs 177 crore in Rotomac Global of Kanpur, owned by Vikram Kothari in the money laundering case, in which a bank allegedly fraud of Rs 3,695 was made.
●        Officials of the Financial Investigation Agency said that the seized assets of the company and its director are in Kanpur of Uttar Pradesh, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat, Dehradun in Uttarakhand and in Mumbai of Maharashtra.

●        Researchers and archivists are concerned about this move by Britain.
 
 
Under Antarctica ice, mountain ranges and valleys were detected
●        Researchers have unearthed three deep valleys under the mountain ranges hidden under the snowy mountains of Antarctica and glacier.
●        This research has been published in Geophysical Research Letters.
●        Detailed data from the satellite helped to take pictures of the Earth's surface and inside its depths, but the location around the southern pole area was not known.

●        The first edition of the Global Wind Energy Conference will be held in Hamburg, Germany on 25-28 September 2018.
●        First Wind Energy Summit-2011 can be beneficial for the wind energy industry in terms of business, networking and information.

Colombia's first Latin American country to join NATO
 
●        Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos announced on May 25, 2018 that Colombia would formally join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) soon.
●        With this initiative, Colombia will become the first Latin American nation to become part of the coalition.
●        In the organization Colombia will be included as a "global partner", which means that it will not need to participate in military action.
 
 
Former Chief Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk appointed acting Prime Minister of Pakistan
 
●        Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Nasir-ul-Mulk was appointed the caretaker Prime Minister of the country on May 28, 2018.
●        With the leader of the opposition Khurshid Shah, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and National Assembly Chairman Ayaz Sadiq made this announcement in a joint press conference.
