The main event of the Fourth International Yoga Day Festival will be held in Dehradun.
●        The main event of the Fourth International Yoga Day Festival (IDY-2018) will be held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on June 21, 2018.
●        Secretary, AYUSH, Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha announced today that Dehradun (Uttarakhand) has been selected as the venue of the collective yoga demonstration of the fourth International Yoga Day (main event) on June 21, 2018.

Mount Devitiba campaign -2018
●        Mountaineering campaign of a group of women climbers for Mount Devtibba Peak Fateh, located at an elevation of 6001 meters in Himachal Pradesh, is being organized from May 28 to June 15, 2018 by the Indian Navy.
●        Vice Admiral A.K. Chawla, AVSM, NM, VSM, Chief of Person will flag off the Mountaineering team from New Delhi on May 28, 2018.
 
 
NIC launches new data center in Bhubaneswar, within a year will recruit 800 people across the country
●        Bhubaneswar has now become the fourth national data center of National Informatics Center (NIC) after Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune.
●        This cloud-enabled new National Data Center aims to provide its services round the clock with secure hosting for various e-governance applications of the Central and State Governments.
●        This data center is capable of continuing the operation of 35,000 virtual servers smoothly.
 
 
Tourism Minister attended the 108th meeting of the UNWTO Executive Council
●        Minister of State for Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri K.J. Alfonso joined the UNWTO Executive Council 108th Meeting held in San Sebastian, Spain from 23 to 25 May 2018, with a delegation of senior officials.
●        The Executive Council decided that the organization will pay special attention to increasing innovation and digitization in the tourism sector to deal with new challenges and trends.

Ramdev launches SIM card
 
●        Yam Guru Baba Ramdev has now hit the entry in the telecom sector after making a fuss about FMCG sector .
●        He launched Patanjali's SIM card in Haridwar on Sunday. It has been named the Swadeshi Prosperity Sim Card.
●        For this, Patanjali, the company of Baba Ramdev, has entered into an agreement with the government telecom company BSNL.
 
Companies with good track can only invest abroad, RBI will change rules
●        Only foreign companies and joint ventures will be allowed to invest, whose track record will be excellent.
●        Indian companies are allowed to invest up to four times their net worth abroad, but it has been misused.
●        Many people have been using this route to send money out of the country and divert the debt amount.

●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today meets the Emperor of the Netherlands Empire, Her Majesty.
●        Queen Maxima is on a trip to India as the special envoy of United Nations Secretary for Inclusive Finance for Development.


Agreement for purchase of state-of-the-art S-400 systems between India and Russia
 
●        India has fulfilled the price negotiations for the purchase of S-400 Triumf Air Defense System from Russia for the needs of Air Force.
●        This purchase agreement has been settled in approximately Rs 40,000 crore.

DAC sanctioned purchase of equipment for defense forces


●        A meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) was held today under the chairmanship of Defense Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.
●        DAC has approved the purchase of equipment worth more than 6900 crores for defense forces.
●        By offering huge encouragement to indigenization and accepting the growing technical power of India, the purchase of thermal imaging (TI) nightsitets for Rocket Launcher will be done through Indian Vendors established under 'Baid (Indian) IDDEN category'.

Bank of India's net loss widens to about Rs 4,000 crore
 
●        Net loss of public sector banks of India was Rs 3969.27 crore in the March quarter.
●        The bank says that the effect of more provision for the trapped loan was affected by its performance in the quarter.
●        The bank had a net loss of Rs 1,045.54 crore in January-March 2016-17.


ED fined for Rs 14 crores on Videocon
 
●        ED, Venugopal Dhoot of Videocon and group penalties of Rs 14 crore in case of violation of Foreign Exchange Law 6 companies.
●        Apart from this, the penalty of Rs 45 lakh has also been imposed separately on the directors of Dhoot, Videocon and 6 companies.
●        Of these, a fine of Rs 30 lakh was asked to repay Dhoot alone. The ED gave this direction on 26th May.

Sudha Balakrishnan became the first CFO of Reserve Bank of India
 
●        Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has decided to appoint Sudha Balakrishnan as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
●        Chartered accountant Sudha Abtak was the Vice President of National Security Depository Limited (NSDL).
●        Sudha will be the 12th Executive Director of RBI and her tenure will be three years.

Chennai Super Kings wins IPL title for the third time
●        Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has won the IPL 2018 title, thanks to Shane Watson's impressive century innings.
●        CSK defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in the final.
●        With this win, Chennai Super Kings were successful in winning the IPL title for the third time.

●        In order to encourage voting in favor of abolition of abortion, the campaign was being run in Ireland for a long time.
 
Global Wind Energy Summit will be held in Hamburg
●        The first edition of the Global Wind Energy Conference will be held in Hamburg, Germany on 25-28 September 2018.
●        First Wind Energy Summit-2011 can be beneficial for the wind energy industry in terms of business, networking and information.
●        The summit includes two conference 'Windenergy Hamburg' and 'Windup'.
 

Colombia's first Latin American country to join NATO
 
●        Colombia's President Juan Manuel Santos announced on May 25, 2018 that Colombia would formally join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) soon.
●        With this initiative, Colombia will become the first Latin American nation to become part of the coalition.
