Prime Minister will dedicate and lay foundation of important projects in AIIMS
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will go to New Delhi's All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on June 29, 2018.
●        He will lay the foundation of National Center for Older Persons in AIIMS.
●        In this, multi-specialty medical care will be provided to the elderly. There will be 200 General Ward beds.
●        During this function, Prime Minister will inaugurate 555-bed Super Specialty Block of Safdarjung Hospital.
 

500th death anniversary of Saint Kabir
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi went to Maghar in Uttar Pradesh's Sant Kabir Nagar today.
●        He offered a wreath at Sant Kabir Samadhi on the occasion of 500th full day of great saint and poet Kabir.
●        Prime Minister Sant Kabir went to the cave and unveiled the plaque, laid the foundation stone of the Saint Kabir Academy.
●        This academy will spread the teachings and ideas of the great saint.
 
 
Fourth National Consultation Meeting will be held in New Delhi on June 29, 2018
●        Fourth National Consultation Meeting of Ministers in charge of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in the States and Union Territories will be held in New Delhi on June 29, 2018.
●        The meeting will be chaired by Union Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution Minister, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan.
 
 
Home Minister's Special Operations Medal
●        The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh has approved the formation of the "Home Minister's Special Operations Medal".
●        Officials of the State and Union Territories, Police Officers, Central Police Organizations (CPOs), Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and the security organization involved in special operations will be eligible for these medals.
 

Policy commission will issue first delta ranking under 'aspiring district program'
●        The policy commission will release the first delta ranking under the 'aspiring district program' tomorrow ie, 29th June, 2018.
●        Through this ranking, the progressive progress achieved by various districts will be measured between 31 March, 2018 and 31 May 2018.
●        Rankings of different districts have been done through 49 important performance indicators in transparent manner on the parameters like health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and basic infrastructure.


Sangli turmeric gets GI tag
 
●        Geographical Index Racking from the Indian Patent Office on March 27, 2018, provided Sangli's turmeric in Maharashtra.
●        Farmers who used to cultivate turmeric in Sangli had been demanding GI tags for Sangli Chi Haladie Sangli's turmeric for a long time.
●        About 200 years ago, the farmers of Sangli had discovered a special way for turmeric production and its storage.
 

Oxytocin restriction in India will be effective from July
 
●        Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has banned the construction of the private sector of the extensively used oxytocin medicines in the country from July 1 to remove milk from milch animals.
●        Also, imports from foreign countries have been banned.
●        Private sector drug manufacturers will not be allowed to produce oxytocin from July 1 for domestic use.

Gobind Singh Dev becomes the first Sikh to join the Malaysian Cabinet
 
●        Indian-origin politician Gobind Singh Dev has been made Cabinet Minister in Malaysia.
●        He is the first person in the minority community to be appointed as minister in the history of the country.
●        45-year-old Gobind Singh Dev has been appointed Minister of Communication and Multimedia.
●        Dev Bhaktan is one of the two indigenous people involved in the Harapan Alliance cabinet.


85 percent of fraud in public sector banks: RBI
 
●        Nearly 6,500 cases of banking fraud have emerged this year. Of these, 85 percent of the cases are from public sector banks.
●        They have lost more than 30,000 crores.
●        It has been addressed by the recent financial stability report of RBI.
●        According to him, in the top 10 fraud in 2018, banks have lent more than Rs 10,000 crore.
●        Financial year 2017 saw a loss of nearly Rs 20,000 crore in about 5,000 frauds.

●        Idea Cellular's shareholders have approved the name of the country's third largest telecom company, Vodafone Idea Limited.

Financial Action Task Force added Pakistan to 'Gray List'
 
●        The Financial Action Task Force has retained Pakistan again on June 27, 2018 in the 'Gray List'.
●        Pakistan has chosen its finance minister Shamshad Akhtar to defend the country.
●        Akhtar will keep Pakistan's side in the FATF meeting and demand to remove name from the gray list.
●        Along with this, the Pakistan Finance Minister will brief FATF about the steps taken to eliminate money laundering, terrorist funding and terrorism.
 
 
Emergency declared in Papua New Guinea due to polio outbreak
 
●        In Papua New Guinea 18 years later, a new case of polio has emerged.
●        Papua New Guinea was declared polio free 18 years ago.
●        A health emergency has been announced in Papua New Guinea.
●        According to the Health Ministry report, polio virus has been confirmed in three regions of Morob, Madang and Eastern Highlands.


China to reduce tax on imports of 8,549 items from 5 countries including India
●        China has indicated signs of increasing friendship with India on the trade front.
●        Preparing to reduce tax on more than 8,500 items imported from India.
●        Apart from India, China has made preparations for tariffs on chemicals, farm products and metals which are imported from 4 other neighboring countries.

Indian Rupee reaches minimum level of rupee against dollar
●        Compared to US dollar, continuous decline in Indian rupee continues.
●        Indian Rupee reached the lowest level of 69.10 on June 28, 2018, against a dollar.
●        In the Inter-Banking Currency market, the rupee opened at 68.87 per dollar against the dollar and 49 paise fall in the opening trade to Rs 69.10 per dollar.

50 percent increase in indian money in Swiss banks
 
●        According to the report released by the Swiss National Bank , Indians' wealth has increased by 50% in Swiss banks to about 7,000 crore rupees.
●        The money raised directly by the Indians in Swiss bank accounts increased to 99.9 million Swiss francs (about Rs 6,900 crore) and the money collected through others has also increased to 1.6 million Swiss francs (about 110 million rupees).
●        According to statistics, total foreign customers bank accounts in Switzerland wealth is more than 1460 billion Swiss francs (Rs 100 million).

Army can buy goods from any canteens
●        Now the army will be able to carry luggage and liqueurs from any canteens across the country.
●        So far he had to take luggage and Liquor from the same unit run canteen (urc) from where he was issued a smart card.
●        If they used to take luggage from another canteen, they had to take no-objection certificates from their unit canteen.
●        But now the army has ended its obligation.
