Mukesh Ambani tops the 2019 IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List
• The eighth IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2019 was released on 25 September 2019. Reliance Industries' Chairman Mukesh Ambani has topped the IIFL Wealth Hurun India Rich List. He has topped for the eighth consecutive year, with a net worth of Rs 3,80,700 crore.
• The list reported that 953 individuals crossed the Rs.1,000 crore threshold to make the list. According to IIFL, the combined wealth of top 25 in the list equates to 10% of India's GDP and that of 953 accounts for 27%.
BUSINESS AND ECONOMY:
HDFC Bank, IOC launch co-branded fuel credit card for users from non-metro cities
• HDFC Bank in partnership with Indian Oil launched a co-branded fuel card for users from non-metro cities and towns which will be available on both RuPay and Visa platforms.
• The card was launched at an event here by IOCL's Executive Director (Retail Sales) Vigyan Kumar and HDFC Bank's Country Head, Payments Business and Marketing, Parag Rao.The card offers customers highest rewards and benefits on fuel consumption and will be available on both RuPay and Visa platforms.
• Customers earn reward points known as 'fuel points' at over 27,000 IOCL outlets. They also earn fuel points on all other spends such as groceries, bill payments, utilities and other shopping. These points can be redeemed for up to 50 litres of fuel annually.
• The card was also simultaneously launched across 135 Indian oil outlets in Bhopal, Lucknow, Indore, Ranchi, Kochi, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Shillong, Varanasi, Jalandhar and Panjim, among others.
PNB launched Preventive Vigilance portal
Punjab National Bank (PNB) launched a Preventive Vigilance (PV) portal on 25 September. The bank conducted a meeting at the PNB Corporate Office to promote vigilance awareness. The meeting was chaired by Central Vigilance Commissioner Sharad Kumar.
Aim:
The Preventive Vigilance portal aims to facilitate the bank's staff members to check procedural lapses and promote good practices.
PV Portal:
♦ The PV portal will facilitate all staff members to contribute towards arresting procedural lapses and unhealthy practices
♦ It will usher in a coherent climate conducive to banking for the modern age.
♦ The first of its kind portal includes other activities, such as the inauguration of the e-pledge mission, social outreach through technological platforms.
♦ The bank promoted the portal under the central theme Integrity-A way of Life.

Bharti Airtel appoints Gopal Vittal as HR head for India, South Asia
• Bharti Airtel has appointed Gopal Vittal as an interim chief people officer for India. The current chief people officer for India, South Asia, Gautam Anand, has resigned his position with immediate effect. Gopal Vittal is currently the CEO of the company.
Gautam Anand:
Gautam Anand has been working with Airtel since 2009. He was elevated to the ranks while working in different capacities. He has worked as the head of human resources for India and South Asia operations. In May 2012, he was elevated to the position of vice-president, chief of staff for CEO, India & South Asia. In this role, he was closely associated with the CEO in all aspects of business management, including performance reviews, strategic updates for the board of directors, and internal and external stakeholder management.
Rajiva Sinha to be Appointed as New Chief Secretary of West Bengal
• Rajiva Sinha will be the new chief secretary of West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
• Sinha is currently the additional chief secretary to the health and family welfare department.
• He is a 1985 batch IAS officer, was appointed the chief secretary in 2017 after the retirement of Basudeb Banerjee.

Visa appoints PV Sindhu as its brand ambassador
• Visa, the payment technology company, has signed up the world badminton champion Pusarla Venkata Sindhu as its brand ambassador for two years. She will be promoting the brand through advertising campaigns.
Apart from this, Sindhu has become an athlete member of Team Visa for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
• Team Visa:
Since 1986, Visa has been supporting the Olympic Games as a worldwide sponsor. Visa has also signed a contract as the exclusive payment technology partner through 2032. Team Visa is the company's global athlete support program to assist athletes who aspire to the Olympic and Paralympic podiums. The athletes under the program are selected based on their expected demonstration of strong competitive performance at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The program has supported over 400 Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
Vedaant won silver at International Swimming Championship
• Actor R Madhavan , 14-year-old son Vedaant clinched a silver medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay for Group II boys at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship. Vedaant, along with other participants Utkarsh Patil, Sahil Laskar and Shoan Ganguly, won a silver medal in the category.
• Thailand scored the gold medal and Japan won bronze in the third spot.India won gold in the 4x100m men's freestyle relay at the Asian Age Group Swimming Championship.
• Madhavan shared an appreciation post for the young swimmers including his son. India gets her silver medal at the Asian Games.
Vedaant along with other participants Utkarsh Patil, Sahil Laskar, and Shoan Ganguly, won a silver medal in the category.
N Srinivasan's Daughter Rupa Gurunath Becomes First Woman To Head A BCCI State Unit
• Rupa Gurunath, daughter of former BCCI chief N. Srinivasan elected unopposed as president of the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), She is the first woman to head a state unit of the Indian Board. Rupa is the wife of Gurunath Meiyappan, who is serving a life ban for his involvement in the 2013 Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing scandal.
• She is elected at the TNCA's 87th Annual General Meeting in Chennai.The TNCA's Executive meeting decided to hold the elections.TNCA recently hit the headlines after unnamed officials, coaches and players in its franchise-based Tamil Nadu Premier League were accused of being involved in match-fixing.
The Supreme Court allowed the TNCA to hold elections for its office-bearers.
• The results of elections will be subject to the order of the top court and legal remedies will be available to parties involved.
The Committee of Administrators (CoA) governing Indian cricket in its submissions before the apex court complained that the TNCA comply with the new BCCI constitution.

IIFL Wealth-Hurun India: लगातार 8वें साल मुकेश अंबानी सबसे अमीर भारतीय
• रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज के चेयरमैन मुकेश अंबानी लगातार आठवें साल सबसे अमीर भारतीयों की सूची में सबसे शीर्ष पर रहे हैं. उनकी कुल निवल संपत्ति 3,80,700 करोड़ रुपये आंकी गई है. आईआईएफएल वेल्थ हुरुन इंडिया की अमीरों की सूची के अनुसार लंदन स्थित एसपी हिंदुजा एवं उनका परिवार 1,86,500 करोड़ रुपये की संपत्ति के साथ इस सूची में दूसरे स्थान पर हैं.
विप्रो के अजीम प्रेमजी अमीर भारतीयों की सूची में तीसरे स्थान पर रहे हैं. उनकी कुल संपत्ति 1,17,100 करोड़ रुपये रही है. इस बार की सूची में 1,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति वाले भारतीयों की संख्या बढ़कर 953 हो गई है. 2018 में यह संख्या 831 थी. वहीं डॉलर मूल्य में अरबपतियों की संख्या 141 से घटकर 138 रह गई है. रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि देश के शीर्ष 25 अमीरों की कुल संपत्ति का मूल्य भारत के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) के दस प्रतिशत के बराबर है. वहीं 1,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की संपत्ति रखने वाले 953 अमीरों की कुल संपत्तियां देश के जीडीपी के 27 प्रतिशत के बराबर हैं.

इंडियन ऑयल और एचडीएफसी बैंक ने लॉन्च किया फ्यूल क्रेडिट कार्ड
• इंडियन ऑयल और एचडीएफसी बैंक ने नॉन-मेट्रो शहरों और छोटे नगरों के उपभोक्ताओं के लिए एक को-ब्रांडेड फ्यूल क्रेडिट कार्ड लॉन्च किया है। इंडियन ऑयल एचडीएफसी बैंक क्रेडिट कार्ड उपभोक्ताओं को ईंधन उपभोग पर सबसे अधिक रिवार्ड प्वाइंट्स और लाभ प्रदान करेगा। इस कार्ड के जरिए ग्राहक फ्री में प्रतिवर्ष 50 लीटर पेट्रोल-डीजल ले सकेंगे। चंडीगढ़ में इंडियन ऑयल के कार्यकारी निदेशक विज्ञान कुमार, कार्यकारी निदेशक (पंजाब, हिमाचल और जेएंडके) सुजाय चौधरी और एचडीएफसी बैंक के कंट्री हेड (पेमेंट्स बिजनेस एंड मार्केटिंग) पराग राव ने एक कार्यक्रम में इस कार्ड को लॉन्च किया गया।
पीएनबी ने प्रिवेंटिव विजिलेंस पोर्टल लॉन्च किया
पंजाब नेशनल बैंक (पीएनबी) ने 25 सितंबर को एक निवारक सतर्कता (पीवी) पोर्टल लॉन्च किया। बैंक ने सतर्कता जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पीएनबी कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालय में एक बैठक आयोजित की। बैठक की अध्यक्षता केंद्रीय सतर्कता आयुक्त शरद कुमार ने की।
उद्देश्य:
निवारक सतर्कता पोर्टल का उद्देश्य बैंक के स्टाफ सदस्यों को प्रक्रियात्मक खामियों की जांच करने और अच्छी प्रथाओं को बढ़ावा देना है।
पीवी पोर्टल:
पीवी पोर्टल सभी स्टाफ सदस्यों को प्रक्रियात्मक खामियों और अस्वास्थ्यकर प्रथाओं को गिरफ्तार करने में योगदान करने की सुविधा प्रदान करेगा
यह आधुनिक युग के लिए बैंकिंग के अनुकूल माहौल में प्रवेश करेगा।
अपनी तरह के पहले पोर्टल में अन्य गतिविधियां शामिल हैं, जैसे कि ई-प्रतिज्ञा मिशन का उद्घाटन, तकनीकी प्लेटफार्मों के लिए सामाजिक आउटरीच।
Integr बैंक ने केंद्रीय थीम इंटीग्रिटी-ए वे ऑफ लाइफ के तहत पोर्टल को बढ़ावा दिया।

भारती एयरटेल ने भारत, दक्षिण एशिया के लिए गोपाल विट्टल को मानव संसाधन प्रमुख के रूप में नियुक्त किया है
• भारती एयरटेल ने गोपाल विट्टल को भारत के लिए अंतरिम मुख्य लोक अधिकारी नियुक्त किया है। भारत, दक्षिण एशिया के लिए वर्तमान प्रमुख गौतम आनंद ने तत्काल प्रभाव से अपना पद त्याग दिया है। गोपाल विट्टल वर्तमान में कंपनी के सीईओ हैं।
गौतम आनंद:

• पेमेंट टेक्नोलॉजी कंपनी वीज़ा ने पी.वी. सिन्धु को दो वर्ष के लिए ब्रांड एम्बेसडर बनाया है। इसके साथ ही पी.वी. सिन्धु टोक्यो ओलिंपिक 2020 के लिए टीम वीज़ा की एथलीट सदस्य बन गयी हैं। ‘टीम वीज़ा’ कंपनी का वैश्विक एथलीट सहायता कार्यक्रम है, इस कार्यक्रम के तहत ओलिंपिक तथा पैरालिम्पिक खेलों की आकांक्षा रखने वाले एथलीट्स की सहायता की जाती है। टीम वीज़ा ने वर्ष 2000 में कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत के बाद से अब तक 400 से अधिक ओलिंपिक तथा पैरालिम्पिक एथलीट्स की मदद की है।

पी. वी सिन्धु
पी. वी. सिन्धु भारत के सर्वश्रेष्ठ बैडमिंटन खिलाड़ियों में से एक हैं। उनका जन्म 5 जुलाई, 1995 को तेलंगाना के हैदराबाद में हुआ था। उन्होंने 2016 के रिओ ओलिंपिक में देश के लिए रजत पदक जीता था। 2018 राष्ट्रमंडल खेलों में बैडमिंटन के महिला एकल वर्ग में उन्होंने रजत पदक जीता। इसके अलावा वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप 2017 और 2018 में उन्होंने रजत पदक जीता था। पी.वी. सिन्धु विश्व चैंपियनशिप में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने वाली पहली भारतीय हैं। 2016 में सिन्धु को पद्म श्री से सम्मानित किया गया था।
बॉलीवुड स्टार आर माधवन के बेटे ने लहराया तिरंगा, देश के लिए तैराकी में जीता रजत पदक
• अभिनेता आर माधवन आज अपने बेटे की वजह से खुद को एक गर्वान्वित पिता महसूस कर रहे हैं। इसका कारण है उनके बेटे द्वारा देश के लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय टूर्नामेंट में पदक जीतना।
बेंगलुरु में चल रहे एशियाई आयु वर्ग तैराकी चैम्पियनशिप में माधवन के बेटे वेदांत ने 4*100 मीटर फ्रीस्टाइल रिले में रजत पदक अपने नाम किया।
भारतीय फिल्म इंडस्ट्री के चर्चित अभिनेता नाम आर माधवन ने इंस्टाग्राम पर तस्वीर शेयर कर अपनी खुशी जाहिर की। उन्होंने बताया कि एशियाई खेलों में भारत को रजत पदक मिला और भगवान की कृपा से वेदांत ने भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए अपना पहला मेडल जीता।
माधवन के 14 वर्षीय बेटे वेदांत ने लड़कों के ग्रुप 2 स्पर्धा में उत्कर्ष पाटिल, साहिल लस्कर और शोआन गांगुली के साथ मिलकर रजत पदक हासिल किया। टीम ने 3:41.49 सेकंड के समय के साथ अपना रजत पदक जीता।
इस प्रतियोगिता में जापान की टीम ने जहां स्वर्ण पदक जीता तो वहीं चीन ने कांस्य पदक अपने नाम किया।
BCCI के पूर्व अध्यक्ष श्रीनिवासन की बेटी Rupa Gurunath बनीं तमिलनाडु क्रिकेट संघ की प्रमुख
• Tamil Nadu Cricket Association: भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (BCCI) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एन श्रीनिवासन (N.Srinivasan) की बेटी रूपा गुरुनाथ (Rupa Gurunath) को गुरुवार को यहां तमिलनाडु क्रिकेट संघ (TNCA) की निर्विरोध अध्यक्ष चुना गया जिससे वह भारतीय बोर्ड की राज्य इकाई की पहली महिला प्रमुख बन गई हैं. रूपा गुरुनाथ मयप्पन की पत्नी हैं जिन पर 2013 आईपीएल में स्पॉट फिक्सिंग में शामिल होने के लिए आजीवन प्रतिबंध लगा हुआ है. रूपा को टीएनसीए की 87वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक में अध्यक्ष चुना गया. नामांकन दाखिल करने की प्रक्रिया बुधवार शाम पांच बजे खत्म हो गई थी जिसके बाद अध्यक्ष पद के लिए सिर्फ रूपा ने नामांकन दाखिल किया.
TNCA के नियमों के अनुसार वार्षिक आम बैठक में उनके नाम की घोषणा हुई. टीएनसीए (TNCA) की कार्यकारिणी ने रविवार को बैठक में गुरुवार को चुनाव कराने का फैसला किया था. टीएनसीए हाल में सुर्खियों में आया था क्योंकि उसकी फ्रेंचाइजी आधारित तमिलनाडु प्रीमियर लीग में अधिकारियों, कोचों और खिलाड़ियों पर मैच फिक्सिंग में शामिल होने का आरोप लगा था. इस मामले की जांच चल रही है.
