AarogyaSetu becomes open source
• The Government has decided to make the AarogyaSetu app an open source to show its commitment towards the core design principles of AraogyaSetu- which are transparency, privacy and security.
• Making the AarogyaSetu app open source means that the government will publish it on a public code repository and release the source code in the public domain. This move will allow developers to inspect the source code of the app and modify it for changes.
• The announcement was made by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on May 26, 2020.
NitinGadkari inaugurates tunnel under ChardhamPariyojana in Chamba
• Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India NitinGadkari inaugurated the 440 metre-long tunnel, constructed below the busy town of Chamba, on Rishikesh-Dharasu road Highway(NH 94) as part of the Chardham Connectivity Project.
• The tunnel has been developed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).Of this BRO is constructing 250 Km of National Highways leading to holy shrine Gangotri and Badrinath.
• The Rs 12,000 croreChardham Project includes construction of National Highway with approximate length of 889 Km, to connect Gangotri, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Badrinath.
Army Commanders’ Conference begins in New Delhi
The Army Commanders’ Conference has commenced in New Delhi. This is the first phase of the conference which has been scheduled from 27 to 29 May 2020. The Army Commanders’ Conference is an apex level biannual event that was earlier scheduled to be held in April 2020.
PFC signs MoU with NBPCL to fund various projects in Madhya Pradesh
• Power Finance Corporation (PFC), the central PSU under Ministry of Power has signed anMoU with Narmada Basin Projects Company Ltd. (NBPCL), a wholly-owned company of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, to fund various power projects to be executed in the State of Madhya Pradesh.
• The funds of worth Rs 22,000 crore will be deployed by NBPCL for setting up hydroelectric projects of 225 MW along with power components of 12 other major multipurpose projects to be executed in Madhya Pradesh.

Worst recession hits India in the current fiscal year: CRISIL
• The research and rating agency CRISIL has revised its forecast downwards again and expects Indian economy to contract 5 percent in fiscal 2020-21. This was 1.8 percent in last prediction.
• This means India’s GDP growth for FY21 has been estimated to be -5%.It also said that the pre- gross domestic product (GDP) rate in India will not be possible for the next three fiscals.
• Extension in , higher economic costs and an economic package are the three basic reasons for the downward revision.

• The National Gallery of Modern Art organised a virtual tour to commemorate the 115th Birth Anniversary of iconic artist Ramkinkar Baij. The virtual tour was titled as “Ramkinkar Baij | Journey through silent transformation and expressions”.
• The virtual tour was conducted in five different themes namely: Portrait, LifeStudy, Abstract & Structural Composition, Nature Study & Landscape and Sculptures.

आरोग्यसेतु खुला स्रोत बना
• सरकार ने अरोग्यसेतु के मुख्य डिजाइन सिद्धांतों- जो पारदर्शिता, गोपनीयता और सुरक्षा के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता दिखाने के लिए आरोग्यसेतु ऐप को एक खुला स्रोत बनाने का निर्णय लिया है।
• अरोग्यसेतु ऐप को ओपन सोर्स बनाने का मतलब है कि सरकार इसे पब्लिक कोड रिपॉजिटरी पर पब्लिश करेगी और सोर्स कोड पब्लिक डोमेन में रिलीज़ करेगी। यह कदम डेवलपर्स को एप्लिकेशन के स्रोत कोड का निरीक्षण करने और परिवर्तनों के लिए इसे संशोधित करने की अनुमति देगा।
• 26 मई, 2020 को NITI Aayog के सीईओ अमिताभ कांत ने इसकी घोषणा की।
नितिन गडकरी ने चंबा में चारधाम परियोजन के तहत निर्माण की गई सुरंग का किया उद्घाटन
केंद्रीय सड़क परिवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने चंबा में चारधाम कनेक्टिविटी परियोजना के तहत बनाए जा रहे मार्ग के एक हिस्से के रूप में एक 440 मीटर लंबी सुरंग का उद्घाटन किया है। इस सुरंग से चारधाम राजमार्ग (NH 94) के ऋषिकेश-धरासू और गंगोत्री खंड पर यात्रियों द्वारा लगने वाले समय में काफी कमी आएगी।
चारधाम परियोजना के तहत लगभग 889 किलोमीटर लम्बे राजमार्ग निर्माण के लिए 12 हजार करोड़ रुपये का खर्च किया जाना है। बीआरओ को पवित्र तीर्थ गंगोत्री और बद्रीनाथ की ओर जाने वाले 250 किलोमीटर-लम्बे राजमार्ग के निर्माण का कार्य सौंपा गया है। इस सुरंग को सीमा सड़क संगठन (BRO) द्वारा विकसित किया गया है।
नई दिल्ली में आरंभ हुआ सेना कमांडरों का सम्मेलन
नई दिल्ली में सेना कमांडरों का सम्मेलन शुरू हो गया है। यह सम्मेलन का पहला चरण है जो 27 से 29 मई 2020 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा। सेना कमांडरों का सम्मेलन एक शीर्ष स्तर का आयोजन है, जिसे साल में दो बार आयोजित किया जाता है, जिसे पहले अप्रैल 2020 में आयोजित किया जाना था, लेकिन महामारी के कारण स्थगित कर दिया गया था। हालांकि, अब इसे दो चरणों में आयोजित करने की योजना है। इस सम्मेलन का दूसरा चरण जून 2020 के अंतिम सप्ताह में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
सेना कमांडरों के सम्मेलन के पहले चरण में, भारतीय सेना का शीर्ष स्तर का नेतृत्व परिचालन और प्रशासनिक मुद्दों से संबंधित विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विचार-विमर्श करेगा, जिसमें रसद और मानव संसाधन से संबंधित अध्ययन शामिल हैं। सम्मेलन के दौरान वे मौजूदा उभरती सुरक्षा एवं प्रशासनिक चुनौतियों पर विचार-मंथन करेंगे, और भारतीय सेना के लिए भविष्य की रूपरेखा तय करेंगे।
पीएफसी मध्य प्रदेश में 22,000 करोड़ रुपये की परियोजनाओं का वित्त पोषण करेगी
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की पावर फाइनेंस कॉरपोरेशन (पीएफसी) ने मंगलवार को कहा कि वह मध्य प्रदेश में 22,000 करोड़ रुपये की 225 मेगावाट क्षमता की पनबिजली परियोजना और अन्य बहुद्देश्यीय परियोजनाओं का वित्त पोषण करेगी।(एनबीपीसीएल) के साथ समझौता किया है। समझौता 22,000 करोड़ रुपये की 225 मेगावाट क्षमता की पनबिजली परियोजना और अन्य बहुद्देश्यीय परियोजनाओं के वित्त पोषण के लिये है।’’बयान के अनुसार एनबीपीसीएल इस राशि का उपयोग 225 मेगावाट की पनबिजली परियोजनाएं लगाने और 12 बड़ी बहुद्देश्यीय परियोजनाओं की बिजली से जुड़ी परियोजनाओं में करेगी।सहमति पत्र (एमओयू) पर पीएफसी के चेयरमैन और प्रबंध निदेशक राजीव शर्मा और एनबीपीसीएल के प्रबंध निदेशक आईसीपी केसरी ने डिजिटल माध्यम से हस्ताक्षर किये।मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने इन परियोजनाओं के लिये पूर्व व्यवहार्यता अध्ययन कर लिया है और उसके क्रियान्वयन को मंजूरी दे दी है।

CRISIL
• शोध और रेटिंग एजेंसी क्रिसिल ने अपने पूर्वानुमान को फिर से संशोधित किया है और उसके अनुसार वित्त वर्ष 2020-21 में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था 5 प्रतिशत सिंकुचित होगी। पिछली भविष्यवाणी में यह 1.8 प्रतिशत थी।
• इसका अर्थ है कि वित्त वर्ष 2021 के लिए भारत की जीडीपी वृद्धि -5% अनुमानित की गई है। यह भी कहा गया है कि भारत में सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) दर अगले तीन वित्ती य वर्ष के लिए संभव नहीं होगी।
• उच्च आर्थिक लागत में विस्तार और आर्थिक पैकेज नीचे की ओर संशोधन के तीन मूल कारण हैं।

एनजीएमए ने रामकिंकर बैज की 115 वीं जयंती मनाई
• राष्ट्रीय आधुनिक कला दीर्घा ने प्रतिष्ठित कलाकार रामकिंकर बैज की 115 वीं जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में एक आभासी दौरे का आयोजन किया। आभासी दौरे का शीर्षक “रामकिंकर बैज यात्रा के माध्यम से मूक परिवर्तन और अभिव्यक्ति” था।
• आभासी दौरे को पांच अलग-अलग थीमों में आयोजित किया गया था: पोर्ट्रेट, लाइफस्टुडि, एब्सट्रैक्ट एंड स्ट्रक्चरल कम्पोजिशन, नेचर स्टडी और लैंडस्केप और मूर्तियां।
