36 Hour Smart India Hackathon 2018 in Mumbai

●        Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Food and Public Distribution has announced that the long-awaited Smart India Hackathon 2018 - Grand Finale of Software Edition will be held on 30th and 31st March, 2018 at various 28 nodal centers of India. Will be done.

National Convention on Down Syndrome


●        Under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the National Trust organized a 'National Conference on Down Syndrome' here today. Dr. Kamlesh Kumar Pandey, President, National Trust, inaugurated this.

President inaugurates NHAI projects in Varanasi


●        President Shri Ram Nath Kovind today (March 26, 2018) participated in various programs organized by the Uttar Pradesh Government and in the event of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) in Varanasi.
●        These programs included the program of laying foundation stones for five projects of NHAI and the distribution of appointment letters to the students selected by the State Government's Vocational Education and Skill Development Department.
 
11th biennial conference of the National Rifles in Nagrota on 26-27 March


●        The 11th biennial conference of the National Rifles is being organized in Nagrota from 26 to 27 March 2018.

Meeting of Hindi publishers was organized by the Department of Official Language, Home Ministry


●        Technical issues related to typography / printing of Official Language Hindi were discussed with the publishers at NDMC Convention Center, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi, today (March 26, 2018) by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
●        The main purpose of this discussion was to solve problems related to Hindi font / Hindi software by publishers, which will be done with the help of Google / Microsoft and C-Deck, etc.

E-Waste Management (Amendment) Bill, 2018 passed
 
●        The Central Government has amended the e-waste rules for eco-friendly effective management of e-waste in the country.
●        Changes in Rules In order to streamline e-waste disposal in the country, it has been done for the purpose of validating and organizing the units engaged in the task of recycling or dissolving e-waste.
 
Government launches process of selling enemy properties, guidelines issued

●        The Central Government has started the process of selling over 9,400 enemy properties to improve the condition of its treasury.
●        Through this, the government can raise about one lakh crore rupees in its treasury.
●        The government has issued guidelines in this regard and asked the protection offices to give list of such movable assets within three months.


80% of the design of bridges, tunnels for bullet train completed
 
●        The work of the country's first high speed bullet train running between Ahmedabad and Mumbai is running fast.
●        A senior official said that the design of bridges and tunnels coming in the way of bullet trains is in good progress.
●        He said that the acquisition of land for this has already begun.

Government’s Borrowing Plan for First Half of Financial Year 2018-19 


●        The Government of India consulted with the Reserve Bank of India on its borrowing program for the year 2018-19 and finalized its borrowed calendar for the first half of 2018-19.
●        The government had estimated gross G-Sec (government securities) borrowings of Rs 6,05,539 crore for the year 2018-19.
●        The Government will borrow Rs 1,00,000 crore from the NSSF in comparison to the budgetary amount of Rs. 75000 crores.

ISA and India today signed 'Host Country Agreement'


●        The International Solar association (ISA) and the Foreign Ministry (MEA) signed the 'Host Country Agreement' here today.
●        The ISA has received judicial specialty from this agreement and as a result, it has got the right to contract, to acquire and settle the movable and immovable properties and to institutionalize legal action and to defend it.
●        Under this agreement, the ISA will receive the privileges, concessions and immunities that are required by the ISA headquarters to independently discharge their programs, independently of different obligations.

The world's longest sandy cave 'Kremli Puri' was discovered in Meghalaya


●        The longest sandy rock cave in the world, 24,583 meters long, called 'Krem Puri' in Meghalaya has been discovered.
●        Meghalaya, the northeast state, is the world's largest sandstone cave.
●        Krem Puri Cave is a sandstone cave.
●        This underground cave, Edo Julia, Venezuela's world record holder, is more than 6,000 meters long with a cave called 'Qiva del Saman'.
 
Record increase in global carbon emissions in 2017


●        According to a report released by the International Energy Agency (IEA), the emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) globally in 2017 reached a historic high of 32.5 Gigaton.
●        This was due to the high demand for energy and slow pace of improvement in energy efficiency.
●        According to the initial estimate of the IEA, the demand for global energy has increased by 2.1 percent in 2017 to 14,050 million tonnes, which is two times more than the previous year.

UBER is selling its business in Southeast Asia
 
●        Cab Aggregator Company Uber Technologies Inc. has decided to sell its South East Asia Operations Grab.
●        Uber has taken this decision in view of tough competition at the local level.
●        Under the agreement, Grab will buy all the operations of Uber, including the Food Delivery Service in the South East Asian Region.
●        Instead, Uber will get a 27.5 percent stake in Grab and its CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will get a place in the board of Grab.

Canadian great mathematician Robert Longlands won the 2018 Abel Prize
 
●        Canadian great mathematician Robert Longlands has won the 2018 Abel Prize.
●        He got this award from his Representation Theory for his visionary project to add number theory.
●        The Norwegian Academy of Sciences and Letters said that the explanation of Robert Longlands was so extraordinary and rich and that he suggested the process of connection between these mathematical areas gave birth to a project called Longlands Program.
