Prime Minister laid foundation stone of various development projects in Jharkhand
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of several development projects of the Government of India and the Jharkhand Government in a function held in Sindri today.
●        In the presence of the Prime Minister, the MoUs were also exchanged for the people's Phosphoric Centers.
●        The Prime Minister, while addressing a public meeting, paid tribute to Lord Birsa Munda.
 
Under the Ministry of Culture, 9th National Culture Festival was inaugurated in Tehri, Uttarakhand.
●        In order to encourage the country's rich cultural heritage, the Ministry of Culture organized a three-day cultural festival "National Culture Festival" near Tehri Lake, in the Colony Colony, Uttarakhand, which was inaugurated today by Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Mr. Trivandrum Singh Rawat.
●        As the nodal agency, Northern Zone Cultural Center (NZCC), Patiala has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the National Cultural Festival under the slogan "Ek Bharat, Bharat Bharat".
 
Inclusion of the Fourth Ship of Landing Craft Utility Mk-IV
●        AVSM, VSM, Chief of Material Vice Admiral G.S. Pabbi today inducted the IN LCU L-54 ship in the Indian Navy fleet in Port Blair.
●        IN LCU L 54 Fourth Landing Craft Utility (LCU) incorporated in the Indian Navy is the ship of the MK-IV category.
●        The design of the ship has been prepared in the country itself and it has been constructed by Garden Reach Shipbuilder and Engineers, Kolkata. 
 
Ravi Shankar Prasad to inaugurate Cloud enabled data center in Bhubaneswar
●        National Informatics Center (NIC) has established a new state-of-the-art cloud enabled national data center in Bhubaneswar.
●        This data center will be inaugurated by Central Electronics and IT and Law and Justice Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and on this occasion, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan will be present.
 
 Union Minister Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal inaugurated the Incubation Center and Food Testing Laboratory at NFEM
●        Union Minister for Food Processing Industries, Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal said today that the Ministry will cooperate with many international laboratories testing various food products so that food products approved by the National Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management Institute (NFTEM) Gain global acceptance
 
 
Women's Security Division in Home Ministry
●        The Home Ministry has created a new division to deal with the issue of women's security in a big way.
●        This division will be coordinated with all the departments of women safety by coordinating with the respective Ministries / Departments and State Governments.
●        To lead this division, Mrs. Punya Salila Srivastava, Officer-in-Charge, AGMUT cadre of 1993 batch has been posted as Joint Secretary.
 
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Patratu Super Thermal Power Project
●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone for the first phase of NTPC's Patratu Super Thermal Power Project of 2400 MW in Jharkhand.
●        It is a 74:26 percent joint venture between Jharkhand Government and Patratu Power Generation Corporation Limited (PVUNL), a subsidiary of NTPC.
●        Under this, total capacity expansion of 4000 MW will be established.
 
TRIFED elected new board of directors
●        The Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED) was organized on May 25, 2018, in which 11th Board of Directors was reconstituted and elected unanimously office bearers.
●        Ramesh Chand Meena Trifed President and Mrs. Pratibha Brahma elected for the post of Vice President.
 
Policy Commission signs MoU with Sushant Singh Rajput for promotion of Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP)
 
●        The Policy Commission today announced the signing of the letter of intent to support and support the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), with its prominent initiative, along with renowned actor and entrepreneur Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput.
●        In the presence of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Policy Commission, Mr. Abhishek Kant, the adviser (industry) of the Policy Commission, Ms. Anna Roy and Mr. Sushant Singh Rajput signed this agreement.


UGC Approved Online Courses
 
●        University Grants Commission (UGC) approved the degree, diploma and certificate courses for online courses in the field of higher education on May 24, 2018.
●        According to the official release of UGC, online courses will be applicable from this academic session.
●        The online regulation 2018 was approved in the UGC meeting under which those higher educational institutions will get the right to start online course along with regular courses.
 

Holistic Education Campaign launched by HRD Ministry
 
●        HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar launched the government's ambitious 'Composite Education Scheme' on May 24, 2018.
●        Through this, the students and teachers will be strengthened by improving the level of education and enhancing technical use.
●        The purpose of this scheme is to provide quality education as well as to move the children towards development as a whole.
 
4% shortfall in HPCL's profit
 
●        Net profit refining margin of government-owned Hindustan Petroleum and reduced inventory gains reduced by 4% in the March quarter.
●        The company had a net profit of Rs 1,748 crore in the fourth quarter of 2017-18, compared to Rs 1,819 crore in the year-ago period.

●        This scheme has been launched by the Prime Minister National Health Security Mission.

50 agreements signed between India and Netherlands
●        The Prime Minister of India, the then Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who came to India on a two-day visit, took part in the CEO conference in Hyderabad House, New Delhi on May 24, 2018.
●        Netherlands is by far the fifth largest source of foreign direct investment in India.
●        After the CEO conference, various agreements were signed to strengthen economic and bilateral relations between the two countries.
