India's exports recorded record maximum growth in 2017-18: Suresh Prabhu

 
●        In spite of increasing global protectionism, there is still a significant increase in exports coming from India and it is expected to touch the figure of 350 billion US dollars in the current financial year.
●        This was stated by Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, Shri Suresh Prabhu in New Delhi today.
●        The Minister was addressing the Second Service Excellence Award and Summit- 2018 organized by Ascham.
 
 

Home Ministry issued guidelines before Assam and neighboring states for publication of NRC draft
●        The Home Ministry has asked the Assam Government and neighboring states to maintain law and order to deal with the situation after the publication of the National Citizen Register (NRC) draft.
●        It has been suggested to make the Assam Government a state level coordination committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to ensure the coordination between state agencies, NRC authorities and central agencies.
●        24 hours of control rooms will be set up in the state's capital and district headquarters to register complaints and coordinate the immediate response.
 
 
Home Minister will inaugurate the Second Young Superintendent of Police conference 
●        The Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the Second Youth Superintendent of Police here tomorrow.
●        The conference is organized by the Police Research and Development Bureau.
●        In this two-day conference, more than 100 police superintendents and top officials of the states and central armed police forces will participate.


National Nutrition Month will be celebrated every month in September
●        The second Meeting of the National Council on Nutrition Challenges of India under the Nutrition Campaign of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, was held on July 24, 2018 under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Policy Commission.
●        Government of India has established the Nutrition Campaign (National Nutrition Mission).
●        It was inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister of Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan on March 8, 2018.
 
Parliament passed the Anti-Corruption Amendment Bill, 2018
●        With the passage of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill, 2018 on July 24, 2018 in the Lok Sabha, this law has got Parliament's approval.
●        This Bill amends the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988.
●        This bill will provide security to those officers who do their work honestly.
●        This bill has been passed from Rajya Sabha on July 19, 2018 only.
 

Ministry of Women and Child Development launched 'Childline 1098' helpline
 
●        Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched '# ChildLine 1098'.
●        Under this competition, the general public and children have been asked to spat 'to share, share and write a tagline with' # ChildLine 1098 'logo.
●        This competition has been organized on the occasion of World Day against the Human Trafficking of 30 July 2018.
●        Childline is an emergency phone service to help children, which is free and its service is available 24 hours a day.
●        Currently, the service is operating at 450 locations.
 

Working Group will investigate the removal of counterfeit drugs
 
●        In order to root out the mechanisms of counterfeit drugs in the country, the Central Drug Regulator has proposed to formulate a system, in which it is making a working group to explore the deficiencies and improve it.
●        There is a proposal to use unique codes in this mechanism.
●        Representatives of the Pharmaceutical Association in the Working Group and members of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization.
●        This group will present its report within four months of its formation and their 'appropriate solutions'.

Autonomous body will be built to fund higher educational institutions
 
●        The agency being funded for the funding of higher educational institutions of the country will be largely based on the model of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
●        National Assessment and Accreditation Council is registered as an InterUniversity Center in the form of Autonomous Body which falls under the university grants commission.
●        This institution works independently.

Mehul took citizenship of Antigua
 
●        Mehul Choksi , who was accused in the case of $ 2 billion scam with Punjab National Bank, was arrested in connection with the nephew Narendra Modi , the antigo escapes.

Invest India and Business France sign MoU to boost investment
●        Invest India and Business France have signed an MoU for boosting cooperation between the startups of India and France and facilitating investment.
●        Its main objective is to facilitate direct foreign investment by facilitating practical investment information to entrepreneurs and provide necessary support to the companies that focus their attention on the opportunities that contribute positively to the economic development of the two countries.


Signing four agreements between India and Uganda
 
●        India and Uganda have signed four MoUs on July 24, 2018 in the field of Defense-cooperation, Visa Concession for Diplomatic Passport holders, Cultural Exchange Program and Materials Testing Laboratory.
●        Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also held discussions on various issues with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni.
●        These agreements were signed after delegation level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni in Kampala.

●        Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot joined the Global Divyang Sammelan 2018 in London on July 24, 2018.

●        The leaders who came from all over the world expressed their commitment to eradicating this stigma and discrimination, promoting consolidated education, economic empowerment, support for technology for innovative instruments and innovation, etc.

Facebook opened a subsidiary company in China, defying censorship

Inflation to reach 1 million percent in Venezuela
