Prime Minister will inaugurate Annual Meeting of AIIB tomorrow in Mumbai
●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the third annual meeting of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank
●        This is a multilateral development bank and whose mission is to improve social and economic development beyond Asia and beyond.
●        The theme of this year's meeting is "Finance-funding for infrastructure: Innovation and cooperation".
 

Livestock export from Nagpur airport will start this month
●        For the first time on June 30, 2018, sheep and goats will be exported from Nagpur airport to Sharjah.
●        About one lakh sheep goats will be exported from Nagpur airport during three months period.
●        The project is being embodied in conjunction with the joint efforts of the Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport, Air India, Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce located in Nagpur.
 

Suresh Prabhu chaired the 15th session of the India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission
●        Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation, India today co-chaired the 15th session of the India-Australia Joint Ministerial Commission with Australia's Trade, Tourism and Investment Minister Mr. Steven Seibo in Canberra.
●        Both the ministers gave special emphasis on the need to increase bilateral trade and investment.
 
 
Group of dignitaries constituted for the study of SEZ policy

●        The first meeting of 'Group of dignitaries' constituted by the Government of India for the study of Special Economic Zones Policy of India was organized on June 22, 2018 under the chairmanship of Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation.
●        The Minister requested the members of this group to review the entire system of SEZ and suggest necessary policy changes to make the SEZ policy simplified and transparent.
 
 
 
Investments in 9 more projects from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in India

●        Union Minister for Railways, Coal, Finance and Corporate Affairs, Shri Piyush Goyal said that India is now hoping to invest in 9 more projects from Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
●        India is expecting this kind of after seven years of acquiring approximately 28% of the total loan amount of $ 1.4 billion given by this bank for 7 projects.
 
 
Under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme, 51 lakh houses sanctioned in three years of its implementation
●        Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs organized its 35th Central Approval and Monitoring Committee meeting on June 25, 2018, in which a total of 3,18,900 houses of six states / union territories were approved.
●        Simultaneously, PMAY has sanctioned more than 51 lakh dwelling units against the estimated demand of 10 million.
●        This plan is completing three years of its implementation today.
 
 
United Nations MSME Day will be celebrated on June 27, 2018
●        The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises will organize a National Conference on the occasion of United Nations MSME Day on June 27, 2018.
●        The purpose of this conference is to encourage communication and partnership between the various stakeholders of the MSME Economic System and to promote innovation on MSME related issues and to share knowledge.
●        President Shri Ramnath Kovind will inaugurate the Conference in Vigyan Bhawan.
 

 
National Tribal Commission will organize a national level seminar on conservation of weaker tribes of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

●        National Tribal Commission will organize a national level seminar on the preservation of weaker tribes of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in New Delhi on 27th and 28th January, 2018.
●        NCST has invited 44 ministries / departments to present their own strategies for the weaker sections of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
●        The seminar is being organized in collaboration with the Indian Anthropological Survey.
 
 
Government will set up 3,000 forest wealth centers across the country
●        The Government will set up 3,000 forest wealth centers by involving 30,000 self-help groups across the country under the forest fund scheme of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
●        Under a transformational initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ambedkar Jubilee celebration of Tribal Ministry and Forest Fodder of TRAI FED at Bijapur, Chhattisgarh on April 14, 2018.
●        Under the One Fund Scheme 10 self-help groups of 30-30 tribal collectors were formed in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh.


Arjit Basu appointed as new managing director of SBI
 
●        The Central Government has recently appointed Basu as Managing Director in State Bank of India (SBI).
●        With his appointment, SBI will have 4 managing directors.
●        This post was vacant after Rajneesh Kumar was appointed the Chairman.
●        Arjit basu will remain the Managing Director of State Bank of India till October 2020.
 
 
The approval of the committee for fixing the standard of metro rail
 
●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the constitution of a committee to fix the standard for the metro rail system in the country on 24 June 2018.
●        The committee of the committee is given to the famous Metro Man E Sreedharan.
●        Sreedharan has been the Managing Director of Delhi Metro from 1995 to 2012.
●        Prior to this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did the video of expansion of Delhi Metro from Mundka to Bahadurgarh through video conferencing.

Saudi Aramco and Adenoc signed MOU for partnership in Ratnagiri Refinery Project in Maharashtra
●        Saudi Aramco and Adenoc signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for jointly developing and manufacturing integrated refinery and petrochemicals complex in Ratnagiri in Maharashtra.
●        This project will be executed by Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited.
●        The above mentioned MOU was established between Amin H. Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aram and State Minister of United Arab Emirates and CEO of Adnoc Group, Hon'ble Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber.
 
 
Tayeb Erdogan elected Turkish President for the second time
 
●        President Rajab Tayeb Erdogan has won in Turkish Presidential elections.
●        Erdogan has been in power for the past 15 years.
●        The Turkish voters voted for the first time in the presidential and parliamentary elections.
●        Erdogan retains his position, becoming the first executive president of the country with more powers.
●        According to figures released by the Turkish government's Anadolu Agency, Erdogan has received 52.5 percent of the votes.
 

Use of biometric data in Aadhar will not be used for criminal investigation: UIDAI
 
●        The Indian Unique Identification Authority has said on June 22, 2018 that the identification information collected by him will not be used in criminal investigations.
●        At the same time, he also clarified that even before this, the details of the bases were not shared with any Criminal Investigation Agency.
●        UIDAI has notified that the use of biometric data based on the basis of criminal investigation under the Aadhar Act, 2016 is not allowed.
 
 
Signing of Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Biotechnology and Medicines between India and Cuba
 
●        India and Cuba have agreed to increase cooperation in biotechnology, renewable energy and conventional medical field.

Gujarat government launches 'Surya Shakti Yojana' for farmers
 
●        The Gujarat government has started 'Surya Shakti Kisan Yojana' to solve the problems of farmers.
●        After the Jyoti Gram Yojana, which has given power to 18,000 villages of Gujarat, the state government has started this scheme for permanent solution to the problem of farmers.
●        The government will also give a large amount of subsidy to the farmers for installing solar panels in the fields.
●        Through the scheme, the government is expected to get 175 MW of power per year.
