Mohanpura irrigation project dedicated to nation
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today dedicated the Mohanpura irrigation project to the nation.
●        This project will facilitate irrigation of agricultural land in Rajgarh district.
●        This project will also provide drinking water to the villages of the region.
●        The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of various drinking water schemes.
 

Chhattisgarh Government Approves Sentinel Of Education Workers
 
●        The Chhattisgarh government has approved the constitution of the education workers of Panchayat and local body cadres, who completed eight years of service on June 18, 2018.
●        This decision is expected to benefit about 1.55 lakh education workers in Panchayats and urban bodies.
●        In the first phase, on July 1, 2018, completing eight years of service will result in the consolation of 1 lakh 3 thousand education workers.
●        Another order will come out in July 2019, from which 10,000 teachers will be appointed as teachers.
 

Expansion of BPO promotion plan for rural youth
 
●        The Central Government has recently taken steps for the expansion of BPO promotion scheme and for the purpose of creating more employment opportunities for rural youth.
●        The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is planning to increase the existing 48,000 seats to 1 lakh seats with the aim of expanding the Indian BPO promotion scheme.
●        With this, it will also establish 5th and the largest national data center (NDC) of India, with the capacity of 5 lakh virtual servers in Madhya Pradesh, Bhopal.
 
 

Chief economic advisor Arvind Subramanian quits
 
●        Renowned economist Arvind Subramanian has resigned from the post of Chief Economic Advisor of the Government of India on June 20, 2018. However, his resignation is being said as a personal reason.
●        Arvind Subramanian held the post on October 16, 2014.
●        Arvind Subramanian was then posted for this post for three years.
●        After completion of the term, he had got service extension for a few more days.


RBI revised the housing loan limit under priority sector loan
 
●        The Reserve Bank of India has revised the housing loan limit under priority sector loan on June 19, 2018.
●        During the monetary policy review, the Reserve Bank of India had announced to increase the maximum limit of home loan under priority sector.
●        The RBI has decided to include loans up to Rs 35 lakh in the priority category of the priority sector for the houses priced below 45 lakh rupees.
 

Gujarat government announces Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Policy
 
●        The Gujarat Government announced the Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Policy-2018 on June 21, 2018.
●        Gujarat has taken a concrete step towards pollution free clean electricity generation.
●        The state government has implemented this policy for five years in force.
●        In case of similar wind power project, solar power unit may be established.
 
42 Lakh deaths by air pollution in 2016
 
●        In a recent report released by the United Nations, it has been claimed that due to high levels of air pollution in 2016, 42 lakh people have died in the world.
●        This air pollution took place from different sources and people died due to different types of complications.
●        Report of sustainable development goals of the year 2018 was launched at UN headquarters in New York.

Redevelopment of seven government colonies in Delhi
 
●        According to the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry, redevelopment of seven government colonies in Delhi will increase about three times the green area coverage.
●        With seven colonies- Nauroji Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Sarojini Nagar, Mohammadpur, Srinivaspuri, Kasturba Nagar and the Redevelopment of Tigaraj Nagar, the green area coverage will increase three times more green area coverage than the existing green area.
●        The trees will be planted in the supplementary form according to tree plantation 1:10, which will increase tree coverage area.
 

CMS announces the establishment of 24 laboratories in Mumbai and Visakhapatnam
 
●        Skill Development, Startup, My Time and Shipbuilding Excellence Center for the Maritime and Shipbuilding Area have announced to set up 24 laboratories.

FSSAI introduced the proposal for amendment in the rules against adulteration
 
●        The food security regulatory body, the Indian Food Safety and Standards Authority, has proposed to make changes in the Food Security Act.
●        According to the new rules and recommendations, if a person mixes foods, then he may be punished till age imprisonment.
●        According to the new proposal, life imprisonment has also been recommended in the possibility of adulteration and harm from adulteration.
●        In the proposal, those who have made adulteration have been recommended to be punished with imprisonment ranging from 7 years to life imprisonment and up to Rs 10 lakh.

Justice Chelameswar Retired

Railways to monitor rail tracks by drone
