North Regional Kisan Mela 2018
 
●   The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Radha Mohan Singh addressed the farmers in North Regional Kisan Mela-2012 in Varanasi on February 23, 2018.
●   Radha Mohan Singh, Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has said that today the whole country is aiming to double the income of the farmers at the time of celebrating 75th anniversary of independence in 2022.
●    He said this in the North Regional Kisan Mela, organized in Varanasi today.
 
Standardization of Big Data


●        The Indian Standards Bureau (BIS), the National Standards Institute of India, organized the fifth International Data Science Conference in New Delhi today with the support of the Data Science Foundation.
●        In the conference, 130 delegations were included with the Human Development Organization in Strategy, Government Policy, Planning Academy Institutions, Electrical Utility Sectors, Researchers and Developers.
●        Speakers from around the world discussed various topics and aspects of Big Data, including Big Data Standardization, Big Data Challenges, Machine Learning, Media, Artificial Intelligence.
 
Two-day "Juhu Banaras Culture Festival" successfully completed in Varanasi,

Memorandum of Understanding signed between Financial Affairs Department and NBCC


●        A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Department of Economic Affairs and the National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) in the presence of Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Shri Arun Jaitley on housing construction for Indian Economic Service (IES) officers.
●        The Ministry of Urban Development has allocated 3519 square meters of land on Deendayal Upadhyaya Marg in New Delhi to create 90 residential units for IIS officers.
●        This residential project is being started due to lack of housing system for the junior officers, especially the serious crisis of houses under government General Pool Housing.

Indian Railways included 2 high-speed HP engines 


●        Indian Railways has incorporated two fully capable 2 rail engines under public-private partnership with the assistance of M / s General Electric (GE).
●        These engines are equipped with state-of-the-art insulated-gate biopolymer transistor (IGBT) technology, due to which the efficiency of the engine has increased.
●        In order to make the two HP high-powered 2 Rail engines available to the Indian rail system, GE entrusted the keys of the engines to the Chairman of the Railway Board Mr. Ashwani Lohani.

 The first Ladies Special railway station of Gandhinagar, Jaipur
 
●        In Rajasthan, the Gandhinagar railway station of Jaipur has become the first general railway station, which will be handled by women only.
●        Gandhinagar station has now become the 'Ladies Special' railway station.
●        Women employees have been given special training to work with full confidence.
●        Previously, Matunga of Mumbai was made "All Woman Station", but it is sub-urban (suburban) railway station.
●        At this railway station 40 women team will do all kinds of work round the clock.
 
IPO approved for two PSU companies
 
●        Public sector companies of India Dynamics and Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) have got the approval of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for the initial public issue (IPO).
●        Bharat Dynamics received the findings letter from SEBI on February 15, and IREDA on 16 February, which is necessary for any company's IPO.
●        Both the companies had deposited the documents for the IPO between January and December of SEBI.

$84 million loan agreement for improving and expanding water supply in Bihar


●        Government and Asian Development Bank signed a $ 84 million loan agreement today for improving and expanding water supply in Bhagalpur and Gaya cities of Bihar.
●        In two parts this loan is part of the multi-series financial facility (MFF) of 200 million dollars for Bihar Urban Development Investment Program.
●        ADB had approved in 2012 to provide continuous urban infrastructure and services in four cities of Bihar-Bhagalpur, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur.
 

 Policy commission will introduce special women cell
