Civil services marks cannot be disclosed under RTI: SC
• The SC ruled that Civil Services examination marks cannot be revealed under the Right to Information Act.
• The court added that revelation of marks would compromise on the integrity of the exams.

• Avani Chaturvedi has become the 1st Indian woman to fly a fighter jet solo as she operated the Russian made MiG21 aircraft.
• She is one of the 3 women inducted into IAF fighter stream in 2016.
SC allows withdrawal of cops send during Gorkhaland protests
• Central forces were deployed in the region during violent protests demanding a separate state of Gorkhaland.
• The Calcutta High Court had earlier barred the Centre from withdrawing the forces stating that normalcy had not been established.

N Korea envoys’ visit cost more than athletes’ training
• The International Olympic Committee paid around $50,000 for the training of 22 N Korea athletes who participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics.
• S Korea spent around 346% more than the amount spent on the athletes’ training.

• सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने फैसला दिया, कि सूचना का अधिकार अधिनियम के तहत सिविल सेवा परीक्षा के अंकों को प्रकट नहीं किया जा सकता है।
• कोर्ट ने कहा कि अंकों का रहस्योद्घाटन परीक्षा की अखंडता पर समझौता करेगा।
आईएएफ अधिकारी फाइटर जेट सोलो उड़ाने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला बनीं-
• अवनी चतुर्वेदी फाइटर जेट सोलो उड़ाने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला बन गई हैं जैसे ही उन्होंने रूसी निर्मित मिग(MIG) 21 विमानों का संचालन किया था।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गोरखालैंड विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान पुलिस को भेजने की अनुमति दी-
• गोरखालैंड के अलग राज्य की मांग को लेकर हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान इस क्षेत्र में केंद्रीय बलों को तैनात किया गया था।
• कलकत्ता उच्च न्यायालय ने पहले केंद्र को यह कहते हुए प्रतिबंध लगाने से रोक दिया था कि सामान्य स्थिति स्थापित नहीं की गई है।

•14 फरवरी को फ्लोरिडा पार्कलैंड में मार्जोरी स्टोनमैन डगलस हाई स्कूल में अपनी ऑटोमेटिक गन से गोलियां बरसाईं थीं। इस हमले में 14 स्टूडेंट्स समेत 17 लोगों की मौत हो गई थी।
• ट्रम्प ने देश में बंदूक खरीद के लिए सख्त पृष्ठभूमि की जाँच के कार्यान्वयन के लिए भी कहा।
2 दिन में सीरियाई गोलाबारी में 250 नागरिक मारे गए-
• पूर्वी घोउटा में सीरियाई सरकार बलों द्वारा लगातार गोलाबारी से लगभग 250 नागरिकों की मौत हो गई।
• सीरिया युद्ध में लगभग 5 लाख लोग मारे गए हैं।
उत्तर कोरिया के दूतों की यात्रा की लागत एथलीटों के प्रशिक्षण से अधिक-
• अंतरराष्ट्रीय ओलंपिक समिति ने 2018 शीतकालीन ओलंपिक में भाग लेने वाले 22 उत्तर कोरियाई एथलीटों के प्रशिक्षण के लिए लगभग $ 50,000 का भुगतान किया।
• दक्षिण कोरिया ने एथलीटों के प्रशिक्षण पर खर्च की गई राशि से लगभग 346% अधिक खर्च किया।

विजय माल्या का 300 करोड़ रुपये का मुंबई का घर नीलाम किया जाएगा-
• माल्या ने अपने इस्तीफे के बाद सीमित समय सीमा के भीतर यूएसएल से 13 घरेलू संपत्तियों का अधिग्रहण करने की अनुमति देते हुए एक समझौता किया।
• कंपनी ने माल्या को पिछले साल उन्हें वापस खरीदने में विफल रहने के बाद बेचने का फैसला किया है।
गीतांजलि के शेयरों में 58% की गिरावट
• कंपनी को पिछले सात दिनों में अपने बाजार पूंजीकरण से 435.41 करोड़ का नुकसान हुआ है।
• इसके बाद पीएनबी ने चोकसी और जौहरी नीरव मोदी पर 1.77 डॉलर के बैंक को धोखा देने का आरोप लगाया।
