Record 1,75,025 pilgrims from India this year will go to Hajj


●        Union Minority Affairs Minister Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said that for the first time since Independence this year, 1,75,025 Muslim pilgrims from India will go to Hajj and that too without any subsidy.
●        He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the government has managed to increase the Haj quota of India for the second consecutive year and for the first time since independence this year, 1,75,025 pilgrims from India will go to Hajj 2018.

President Kovind approves fugitive economic offender ordinance
 
●        President Ram Nath Kovind has given his approval to the Fugitive Economic Offenses Ordinance, 2018
●        With this, officials have now got the right to take action against seizure of properties of people fleeing the country by making economic offenses like cheating and deliberately not paying loans to the banks.

50 alumni of IIT created political party


●        In order to raise voice of the backward castes in the country, 50 alumni of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) have quit their job and formed a political party.
●        The group, which is waiting for approval from the Election Commission, has named its party 'Bahujan Azad Party' (BAP).
●        Naveen Kumar, the party's chief, says that all the people in our party are graduates from different IITs of the country and all have left their jobs.

Haryana's allowance doubles up  


●        On Saturday, the state government has increased the allowance of employees to 66 percent on the 12th Lok Seva Divas.
●        Enhanced allowances will be applicable from May 2018.
●        This will increase the burden of Rs.840 crore annually on the public exchequer.
●        CM Manohar Lal announced this in Panchkula auditorium.
 
70 judges got new post post-retirement in 66 years

India signed a deal with the Republic of Korea to recognize the power of each other's sailors in Busan

Currency Notes are printed at four places in the country


●        The printing press workers' association in Nashik claimed to have stopped printing the notes due to the finished ink .
●        Confederation president Jagdish Godse says that imported ink is used in printing of notes.
●        In India, 50 percent of the ink used in printing the note is imported.
●        After the next three to five years, the note is expected to be India's self-reliant in printing ink production.

●        Former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Rajinder Sachar died on Friday.
●        He was 94 years old.
●        Under the leadership of the UPA government, he created a committee to prepare the report on the situation of Muslims in the country, which was named Sachchar Committee.
●        He was Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court from August 6, 1985 to December 22, 1985.
 
Mukesh Ambani got into list of Fortune Top-50 Greatest Leaders
 
●        Mukesh Ambani , India's richest businessman , has been included in the list of Fortune Magazine's Top 50 Great Leaders for Xiao.
●        Apart from him, the well-known lawyer and human rights activist Indira Jaisingh and architect Balkrishna Doshi have been given the place in this list.

Naval Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba to attend Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IONS) -2018 on Tehran, Iran


●        The sixth edition of the Indian Ocean Naval Symposium (IOS) and Conclave of Chiefs is being hosted by Iran in Tehran from 23 to 25 April 2018.
●        The Naval Chief is leading a four-member Indian delegation to this ceremony.
●        The concept of IONS was done by the Indian Navy in 2008.

●        Walmart, the US retail company, can become India's largest e-commerce company.
●        Walmart is going to buy 51 percent stake in Flipkart , the country's largest e-commerce company .
●        Along with signing a draft to buy a stake in Flipkart, Walmart will indirectly be India's largest e-commerce company.
 

Amount deposited in public money accounts exceeded Rs 80,000 crore


●        The total deposits in accounts of 'Jhandhan Yojana' which have been started to connect all the families of the country with banking services have reached more than Rs 80,000 crore.
●        With the addition of more people after this financial inclusion program, the accumulation of these accounts has accelerated.
●        According to the Finance Ministry data, the total deposits in the Jandhan account increased to Rs 80,545.70 crore on April 11, 2018.
 
HDFC Bank earned net profit of Rs 17,486 crore

Modi and Xi Jinping will be in China on April 27-28, informal summit


●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet in China next week
●        Addressing the Joint Conference with Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj in Beijing , Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that between President Xi Jinping and PM Modi, there will be an informal summit in Wuhan on 27-28 April.
●        This meeting of the two heads of the two countries is being considered very important after the long deadlock between the two countries in Dokalm last year.

India signed Memorandum of Understanding with 'World Expo 2020 Dubai'


●        India and World Expo 2020 today signed a partnership agreement for the installation of Indian Pavilion at the exhibition here.
●        This prestigious World Expo 2020 is organized once in five years.
