First Indian station to be redeveloped on the lines of Germany’s Heidelberg

    
Habibganj railway station is being reconstructed on the lines of Germany’s Heidelberg railway station by the Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation, a special purpose vehicle of the railway ministry, along with a private firm, Bansal Pathways Habibganj Private Ltd The IRSDC is the nodal agency of the project. The station redevelopment phase has a deadline of July 2019. The station redevelopment programme was initiated by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee when she was railway minister.
 

PM Modi inaugurates new airport in Odisha's Jharsuguda 
 Only one major airport existed in Odisha for so many years. A new airport at Jharsuguda, will attract investors to the mineral-rich area.it would act as a junction for neighbouring Raipur and Ranchi and strenghten connectivity.Modi also inaugurated the Garjanbahal open cast mine of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd.The prime minister also launched the 53.1-km long Jharsuguda-Serdega railway line constructed by the MCL .

India’s Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor will achieve criticality by 2019

India's first indigenously developed 500-megawatt (mw) prototype fast breeder reactor at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu is expected to achieve criticality next year. Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) secretary Sekhar Basu said at the 62th General Conference of International Atomic Energy Agency held in Vienna.
