Formation of 'Black Panther' squad in Chhattisgarh


●        The 'Black Panther' squad was formed in Chhattisgarh. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh informed about the formation of 'Black Panther' on May 21, 2018.
●        This will be the specially trained commando force of Chhattisgarh police on the lines of Andhra Pradesh's famous greyhounds.
●        The 'Black Panther' squad has been formed to combat the Maoists.
 
 
NSE to cancel registration of 16 companies including Kingfisher
●        National Stock Exchange (NSE) has decided to cancel the registration of Vijay Mallya's company Kingfisher Airlines and Plethico Pharmaceuticals and 16 other companies by May 30.
●        NSE has decided this decision after the cancellation of registration of more than 200 companies by BSE on May 11, as the trading of their shares was suspended for more than six months.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Kishanganga hydropower project in Kashmir
●        On May 19, 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 330 MW Kishanganga hydroelectric project in Bandipora district of Kashmir Valley.
●        Progress of this project was monitored by the Prime Minister's Office.
●        He inaugurated it from the Sher-E-Kashmir Convention Center at Dal Lake.
 

Nipah virus in Kerala
 
●        Recently Kerala State Health Department has confirmed the spread of Nipah virus in the state.
●        This virus has been confirmed by a team of doctors conducted by the blood and physical fluids of the victims.
●        Nipah virus was registered in Kerala Kozhikode district where both of the victims died.


MoU with 40 companies to promote mudra scheme
●        The Ministry of Finance has entered into an agreement with 40 big companies of the country to promote the mudra scheme and to increase the debt allocation to small entrepreneurs.
●        According to the finance ministry, all these units, including Flipkart, Swiggy, Patanjali and Amul, provide jobs to the people on a large scale.
 

ED crooks former director of Dabur property worth Rs 20 crores
●        Pradeep Barman, former director of the Dabur Group, has properties worth Rs 20.87 crores in the HSBC bank list, which was introduced in the list of black money abroad, hidden in abroad abroad.

●        Through match-making, efforts have been made to bring employer companies and young people interested in employment, through the 'My MP Employment Portal'.

SBI under deficit of Rs 7718 cr in December-March 2018 quarter
●        State Bank of India (SBI) , the country's largest public sector bank, had a net loss of Rs 7,718 crore in the fourth quarter of the last financial year.
●        SBI today announced its quarterly results
●        According to this, the non-performing assets ( NPA ) of the bank has also increased from Rs 177866 crore and 9.11 percent of the financial year 2016-17 to Rs 2,23,427 crore and 10.91 percent in the financial year 2017-18.
 

Food Safety's Central License not necessary up to 75 million turnover
 
●        Soon, food businessmen doing annual business up to Rs 20 lakh will be freed from the Food Safety License , while the state government will issue a license for those who make up to Rs 75 crore turnover .
●        Food Safety and Standards Authority of India has given theoretical clearance to fix rules of registration and licensing under the Food Security Act and the formalities will be completed soon.
 
Partners Group and Kedar Capital to buy vishal Mega Mart for 5500 crores
 
●        Private Equity Consortium of several entities, including Partners Group and Kedar Capital , agreed to buy Vishal Mega Mart, a veteran American private equity company, TPG Capital and Shriram Group of Chennai for Rs 5300-5500 crores.
