NDMA conducts training programme for CBRN emergencies
A training programme being conducted by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) began here today to improve the preparedness of Parliament House Complex (PHC) security staff to respond to CBRN emergencies, encompassing threats emanating from the use of Chemical, Biological, Radiological and/or Nuclear (CBRN) material.
● The five-day training programme will train security personnel of PHC on various aspects of CBRN emergencies.
● Speaking on the occasion Shri R.K. Jain, Member, NDMA said, "In today's world, CBRN emergencies have become a reality.
● Comprehensive planning, preparedness and an effective response strategy will equip us to deal with such exigencies effectively."
● Underlining the need for CBRN training, Dr. D.N. Sharma, Member, NDMA, said that even small CBRN accidents can trigger immense psychological distress among people.
● "It is, therefore, important that our security personnel are able to deal with such eventualities holistically," said Dr. Sharma.
Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog to inaugurate National Conference of Micro Mission of National Police Mission being organised by the BPR&D
Shri Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India), will inaugurate the 1st National Conference of Micro Missions of National Police Mission (NPM) here tomorrow.
● The two-day Conference is being organised by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
● During the conference, there will be sessions on the eight Micro Missions working under the BPR&D on issues including Proactive Policing and Visualizing Future Challenges (Extremism and Naxalism – Mob Violence – Cyber Crime – Money Laundering – Narco Terrorism – Human trafficking etc.) and Communication and Technology (Polnet – CIPA – Cyber Techniques – Forensic Science – DNA – Narco Analysis etc.).
● Panelists will include Shri RR Bhatnagar, DG, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shri Krishna Chaudhary, DG, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Smt. Rina Mitra, Special Secretary (IS), MHA and Dr. Meeran C. Borwankar, Director General, BPR&D.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan assumes charge as Environment Minister
Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister for Science and Technology and Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, assumed charge at the IP Bhavan here today, following the sudden and untimely demise of former Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Anil Madhav Dave, last Thursday.
● He commenced his visit to the office by first planting a sapling in the memory of Late Shri Anil Madhav Dave in the premises of IP Bhavan. He felt humbled at taking over charge of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and recalled the contribution of Late Shri Dave as a great champion of river conservation and environment.
● He pointed out that Shri Dave’s love for children was evident in his belief to restore our environment for our children. “Dave ji did a great deal of work to protect our rivers, forests, ecosystem with the passion and the dedication of a true environmentalist”, he said.
● Dr. Harsh Vardhan recalled the words of Shri Anil Madhav Dave, who used to say, ‘If I can, so can we’.
● The Minister emphasised that the Ministry will always keep in mind the last wish of Late Shri Dave of environmental protection by planting, protecting and nurturing trees and of cleaning rivers and ponds.
Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu launches high speed Tejas Express
Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu on 22 May 2017 launched high speed, air-conditioned Tejas Express, a premium luxury train that will run from Mumbai to Goa.
● This luxury train boasts of several modern facilities on-board like LED TV and tea/coffee vending machine. The train will operate five days a week during non-monsoon period, and three days a week during monsoon period.
● It encompasses ultra-modern amenities like on-board infotainment, Wi-Fi, CCTV, fire and smoke detection facilities, tea and coffee vending machine etc.
● It is India's first premium train that is capable of running at 200 kms per hour, that is it is named as 'Aeroplane on Tracks'. However, due to constraints related to rail tracks, it will run at a speed of 160 kilometres per hour.
● It is manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala. It has automatic entrance door, a first in non-suburban train in Indian railways. The graffiti proof and vinyl-wrapped exterior has a bright orange and yellow colour theme.
● Tejas Express will operate between Mumbai and Karmali (Goa) for five days a week during non-monsoon period and three days a week during monsoon. It will have stops at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Ratnagiri and Kudal stations.
● Its executive AC chair car has 56 seating capacity and its AC chair cars has 78 seating capacity. There are 12 AC chair cars in Tejas.
● Executive Class Fare of Tejas is Rs 2680 (with food) and Rs 2525 (without food). For AC chair car, the fare is Rs 1280 (with food) and Rs 1155 (without food).

Government of India announces the Sale/ Reissue of Floating Rate Bonds and Government Stock
Government of India has announced the Sale (re-issue) of:
● “Government of India Floating Rate Bonds 2024” for a notified amount of Rs. 3000 crore (nominal) through price based auction
● “6.79 per cent Government Stock, 2027” for a notified amount of Rs. 8,000 crore (nominal) through price based auction,
● “7.73 per cent Government Stock 2034” for a notified amount of Rs. 2,000 crore (nominal) through price based auction,
● “7.06 per cent Government Stock, 2046” for a notified amount of Rs. 2,000 crore (nominal) through price based auction.
● The auctions will be conducted using multiple price method. The auctions will be conducted by the Reserve Bank of India, Mumbai Office, Fort, Mumbai on May 26, 2017 (Friday).
● Up to 5% of the notified amount of the sale of the stocks will be allotted to eligible individuals and Institutions as per the Scheme for Non-Competitive Bidding Facility in the Auction of Government Securities.
● Both competitive and noncompetitive bids for the auction should be submitted in electronic format on the Reserve Bank of India Core Banking Solution (E-Kuber) system on May 26, 2017.

Hassan Rouhani re-elected as President of Iran
Hassan Rouhani was on 20 May 2017 re-elected as the President of Iran after winning the Iranian presidential elections 2017.
● This will be his second term as Iran's President. Rouhani won his second term by presenting himself as the candidate of change and social freedoms that ended many sanctions.
● Rouhani was first elected as Iran's President in 2013. He won 2013 elections by pledging to end Iran’s isolation and improve civil rights.
● In the Iranian President Elections, Hassan Rouhani defeated his Conservative opponent Ebrahim Raisi by winning a total of 23549616 votes out of 41220131 votes. While Raeisi received around 15786449 ballots.
● Two other participants, who were defeated in the elections, Mostafa Mirsalim and Mostafa Hashemi won 478215 and 215450 votes respectively.
● This year, Iran witnessed a heavy turnout in votes as more than 70 per cent of Iran’s 56 million voters casted ballots.

International Day for Biodiversity Celebrated all over the Country
The International Day for Biodiversity (IDB) 2017 was celebrated all over the country today, by different States and various organisations.
● The national level celebrations of IDB were held at Dinanath Mangeshkar Auditorium, Kala Academy in Goa, with enthusiastic participation of all stakeholders. Chief Minister of Goa, Shri Manohar Parrikar was the chief guest on the occasion.
● In his address, Shri Parrikar stressed upon the community connect and people’s participation for Biodiversity Conservation.
● He also gave a message on afforestation and called for responsible development through effective and scientific pollution control system by citing the experiences of solid waste disposal of Goa, which is a model system for others to emulate.
● The Chief Minister inaugurated an exhibition on the theme and Green Haat, which had exhibits from 12 States including Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh besides stalls from UNDP, GIZ, Zoological Survey of India, Botanical Survey of India, Goa Forest Department, Goa State Biodiversity Board and NBA.
● Exhibits, posters and other material highlighting the role of biodiversity in sustaining livelihoods were depicted at the exhibition.
● Several students and others interested participated enthusiastically in the exhibition. The dignitaries too walked through the exhibition.
● In her opening remarks, Dr. Amita Prasad referring to the theme and key objective of the Day (Biodiversity and Sustainable Tourism), highlighted the important role played by biodiversity in various economic sectors.
● Referring to the intrinsic linkages between biodiversity and tourism, she said that the country has succeeded in making the crucial paradigm shift from development and environment being seen as two ends of a spectrum, to having development while protecting the environment.
● Referring to the contribution of tourism industry in creating jobs, promoting local culture and fueling development, she highlighted the challenges and opportunities that sustainable tourism presents, while supporting nature conservation.

एनडीएमए ने सीबीआरएन संबंधी आपात स्थिति से निपटने के लिए प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया
राष्ट्रीय आपदा प्रबंधन प्राधिकरण (एनडीएमए) ने रासायनिक, जैविक, रेडियोलॉजिकल और परमाणु (सीबीआरएन) जनित खतरों से निपटने की तत्परता और मुस्तैदी बढ़ाने हेतु संसद भवन परिसर (पीएचसी) के सुरक्षाकर्मियों के लिए आज यहां प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया।
● इस पांच दिवसीय कार्यक्रम का मकसद पीएचसी सुरक्षाकर्मियों को रासायनिक, जैविक, रेडियोलॉजिकल और परमाणु जनित खतरों के विभिन्न आयामों का प्रशिक्षण देना है।
● इस अवसर पर एनडीएमए के सदस्य आरके जैन ने कहा कि आज की दुनिया में सीबीआरएन आपात स्थ्िातियां एक सच्चाई बन गई हैं। समग्र नियोजन, तैयारी और प्रभावी अनुक्रिया रणनीति के जरिए हम इस तरह की आपात स्थ्िातियों से प्रभावी ढंग से निपट सकते हैं।
● सीबीआरएन प्रशिक्षण की आवश्यकता को रेखांकित करते हुए एनडीएमए के सदस्य डॉ डीएन शर्मा ने कहा कि एक छोटी सी सीबीआरएन दुर्घटना भी लोगों में व्यापक मनोवैज्ञानिक पीड़ा का कारण बन सकती है। इसलिए यह महत्वपूर्ण है कि हमारे सुरक्षाबल ऐसी संभावित आपात स्थ्िातियों से समग्रता से निपटें।
● कार्यक्रम में व्याख्यान, अनुसंधान और परिशोधन का लाइव डेमोनस्ट्रेशन के साथ-साथ पर्सनल प्रोएक्टिव इक्विपमेंट (पीपीई) का उपयोग भी शामिल था। प्रतिभागियों को मूलभूत जीवन आश्रय व्यवस्था, आपात स्थ्िाति में वरीयता निर्धारण और घायलों को ले जाने की तकनीक के साथ-साथ खतरनाक सामग्र वाहनों की कार्यप्रणाली भी समझाई गई।
● एनडीएमए के सुरक्षाकर्मियों को दिए जाने वाले प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम का यह 17वां श्रृंखला कार्यक्रम था। अभी तक सीबीआरएन आपाति स्थितियों से निपटने के लिए 800 से ज्यादा सुरक्षाकर्मियों का प्रशिक्षण दिया जा चुका है।
नीति आयोग के सीईओ श्री अमिताभ कांत बीपीआर एंड डी द्वारा आयोजित राष्ट्रीय पुलिस मिशन के राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन का उद्घाटन करेंगे
नीति आयोग के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी श्री अमिताभ कांत कल यहां राष्ट्रीय पुलिस मिशन के पहले राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन (माइक्रो मिशन्स) का उद्घाटन करेंगे। इस दो दिवसीय सम्मेलन का आयोजन गृह मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत आने वाले विभाग पुलिस शोध तथा विकास ब्यूरो (बीपीआर एंड डी) द्वारा किया जा रहा है।
● सम्मेलन के दौरान बीपीआर एंड डी के अंतर्गत आठ माइक्रो मिशन्स पर सत्र आयोजित होंगे। सत्रों के विषय हैं –सक्रिय नीति-निर्धारण तथा भविष्य की चुनौतियां (उग्रवाद तथा नक्सलवाद; भीड़ द्वारा हिंसा; साइबर अपराध; धन शोधन; नारको आतंकवाद; मानव-तस्करी) तथा संचार व तकनीक (पोलनेट - सीआईपीए - साइबर तकनीक - फोरंसिक साइंस - डीएनए-नारको विश्लेषण आदि) विशेषज्ञों के पैनल में केन्द्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल (सीआरपीएफ) के महानिदेशक श्री आर.आर. भटनागर, भारत तिब्बत सीमा पुलिस (आईटीबीपी) के महानिदेशक श्री कृष्णा चौधरी, गृह मंत्रालय में विशेष सचिव (आईएस) श्रीमती रीना मित्रा तथा बीपीआर एंड डी के महानिदेशक डॉ. मीरन.सी. बोरवांकर उपस्थित होंगे।
● 24 मई, 2017 (मंगलवार) को होने वाले अंतिम सत्र में नोबल शांति पुरस्कार से सम्मानित श्री कैलाश सत्यार्थी मुख्य अतिथि होंगे।
● राष्ट्रीय पुलिस मिशन देश के पुलिस बल को आंतरिक सुरक्षा तथा आने वाली शताब्दी की चुनौतियों का सामना करने हेतु एक प्रभावी उपकरण बनाने के लिए कार्यरत है। संगठन इसके लिए आवश्यक सामग्री, बौद्धिक व संगठनात्मक संसाधन प्रदान करने तथा पुलिस के लिए एक नया विजन देने के लिए प्रयासरत है।
● अपनी स्थापना से ही राष्ट्रीय पुलिस मिशन पुलिस बलों को सशक्त, दक्ष बनाने, उनमें जवाबदेही और अच्छे प्रदर्शन के लिए प्रेरित करने हेतु प्रयासरत है।
● परिणामत: पुलिस बल असंयमित युद्ध, शहरी तथा सामाजिक उथल-पुथल, उग्रवाद व अलगाववाद की चुनौतियों का सफलतापूर्वक सामना कर सकेंगे। पुलिस बल की मानसिकता में बदलाव, महिलाओं के प्रति जिम्मेदारी तथा बेहतर प्रदर्शन हेतु तकनीक के इस्तेमाल के लिए राष्ट्रीय पुलिस मिशन कार्यरत है।
डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने पर्यावरण मंत्री का पदभार ग्रहण किया
विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने आज यहां आईपी भवन में पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री का पदभार ग्रहण किया। पिछले बृहस्पतिवार को केन्द्रीय पर्यावरण राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) श्री अनिल माधव दवे का आकस्मिक निधन हो गया था। डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने आईपी भवन के परिसर में स्वर्गीय अनिल माधव दवे की याद में एक पौधा लगाकर अपने कार्य की शुरूआत की।
● पदभार ग्रहण करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि वे पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन का मंत्री पद पाकर अनुगृहीत हैं तथा स्वर्गीय अनिल माधव दवे को याद करते हुए कहा कि वे नदी संरक्षण तथा पर्यावरण के प्रति समर्पित थे। श्री दवे पर्यावरण का संरक्षण बच्चों के लिए करना चाहते थे।
● इसमें बच्चों के प्रति उनका स्नेह दिखाई पड़ता है। श्री दवे जी ने देश की नदियों, वनों तथा पारितंत्र के संरक्षण के लिए लगातार प्रयास किया। पर्यावरण के प्रति उनका यह समर्पण उन्हें एक महान पर्यावरणविद बनाता है। डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने कहा कि श्री अनिल माधव दवे कहा करते थे, ‘यदि मैं कर सकता हूं तो हम सभी कर सकते हैं।’ मंत्री महोदय ने जोर देते हुए कहा कि मंत्रालय, स्वर्गीय श्री दवे की अंतिम इच्छा - पौधे लगाने, पेड़ों को पोषित व संरक्षित करने तथा नदियों व तालाबों की सफाई व रखरखाव - को सदैव याद रखेगा।
● डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने मंत्रालय के सचिव व अन्य अधिकारियों के साथ प्रमुख विषयों पर विचार-विमर्श किया। पिछले तीन वर्षों में मंत्रालय द्वारा किये गये कार्यों की प्रगति तथा प्रमुख कार्य योजनाओं की समीक्षा की गई।
● उन्होंने माना कि पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन के मामले में कई जटिल समस्याएं हैं, जिसके लिए समन्वित व ठोस प्रयासों की आवश्यकता है। उन्होंने इस तथ्य पर विशेष बल देते हुए कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में सरकार का प्रयास है कि पर्यावरण की चिंताओं को विकास की नीतियों और कार्यक्रमों से जोड़ा जाए, ताकि भारत के सतत विकास और प्रगति हेतु दोनों में संतुलन स्थापित किया जा सके।
● इसके लिए यह आवश्यक है कि मंत्रालय आधुनिक तकनीक को अंगीकृत कर मंजूरी देने की प्रक्रिया में तेजी लाए तथा नीतिगत प्रयासों को विकसित करे ताकि पारदर्शिता, जवाबदेही तथा समय पर कार्य-निष्पादन में तेजी आ सके।
● मंत्री महोदय ने जलवायु परिवर्तन, जैव-विविधता संरक्षण, प्रदूषण की रोकथाम, चार ‘आर’ (रिड्यूस, रिकवर, रियूज, रिसाइकल) की अवधारणा के अंतर्गत अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन, जैव-पर्यटन, वानिकी तथा राज्यों को सीएएमपीए कोष प्रदान किये जाने पर विशेष ध्यान देने की बात कही।
● उन्होंने इस तथ्य को रेखांकित करते हुए कहा कि जल तथा वायु प्रदूषण पूरे देश के लिए विशेषकर दिल्ली तथा राष्ट्रीय राजधानी क्षेत्र हेतु चिंता का विषय है। मंत्रालय प्राथमिकता के साथ इस समस्या के निदान का प्रयास करेगा। उन्होंने आगे कहा कि जलवायु परिवर्तन तथा पेरिस समझौते हेतु भारत की प्रतिबद्धता मंत्रालय के समक्ष अन्य चुनौतियां हैं।
रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने सुपर हाईटेक तेजस एक्सप्रेस मुंबई से गोवा के लिए रवाना किया
रेल मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने एलईडी टीवी, वाईफाई, सीसीटीवी जैसी अत्याधुनिक विमान जैसी सुविधाओं से युक्त तेजस एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन को 22 मई 2017 को मुंबई से हरी झंडी दिखाई.
● शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस से 20 फीसदी मंहगी बहुप्रतीक्षित ट्रेन तेजस गोवा के लिए रवाना होगी.
● जिस प्रकार की स्पीड और सुविधाएं इस ट्रेन में दी जा रही हैं. वह अत्यंत आधुनिक हैं.
● तेजस एक्सप्रेस ट्रेन में इंफोटेनमेंट, वाई- फाई, आग और धूम्रपान का पता लगाने की सुविधा, चाय-कॉफी हेतु वेंडिंग मशीन जैसी कई आदि अत्याधुनिक सुविधाएं मौजूद हैं.
● मध्य रेलवे के महाप्रबंधक डी के शर्मा के अनुसार भारतीय रेलवे के लिए 22 मई (सोमवार) का दिन ऐतिहासिक बन गया.
● तेजस एक्सप्रेस को मुंबई से पहली यात्रा पर गोवा के लिए रवाना किया गया.
● महाप्रबंधक डी के शर्मा ने मुंबई के छत्रपति शिवाजी टर्मिनल पर ट्रेन का निरीक्षण किया उनके अनुसार तेजस एक्सप्रेस 'जमीन पर चलने वाले विमान' की तरह है.
● इस ट्रेन से यात्रा करना विमान में उड़ान भरने से ज्यादा बेहतर अनुभव होगा.
भारत सरकार ने फ्लोटिंग रेट बांडों और सरकारी स्टॉक की बिक्री (पुनर्निर्गम) करने की घोषणा की
केन्द्र सरकार ने निम्नलिखित की बिक्री (पुनर्निर्गम) करने की घोषणा की है :-
● मूल्य आधारित नीलामी के जरिए 3,000 करोड़ रुपये (सांकेतिक) की अधिसूचित राशि के लिए ‘भारत सरकार फ्लोटिंग रेट बांड 2024’
● मूल्य आधारित नीलामी के जरिए 8,000 करोड़ रुपये (सांकेतिक) की अधिसूचित राशि के लिए ‘6.79 प्रतिशत ब्याज वाले सरकारी स्टॉक 2027’
● मूल्य आधारित नीलामी के जरिए 2,000 करोड़ रुपये (सांकेतिक) की अधिसूचित राशि के लिए ‘7.73 प्रतिशत ब्याज वाले सरकारी स्टॉक 2034’
● मूल्य आधारित नीलामी के जरिए 2,000 करोड़ रुपये (सांकेतिक) की अधिसूचित राशि के लिए ‘7.06 प्रतिशत ब्याज वाले सरकारी स्टॉक 2046’
● भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के मुम्बई कार्यालय द्वारा ये नीलामियां 26 मई, 2017 (शुक्रवार) को आयोजित की जाएंगी, जिसके लिए एकाधिक मूल्य विधि का उपयोग किया जाएगा।
● सरकारी प्रतिभूतियों की नीलामी से जुड़ी गैर-प्रतिस्पर्धी बोली सुविधा की योजना के अनुसार स्टॉक की बिक्री की अधिसूचित राशि के 5 प्रतिशत तक का आवंटन पात्र व्यक्तियों एवं संस्थानों को किया जाएगा।
● नीलामी के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धी एवं गैर-प्रतिस्पर्धी दोनों ही बोलियां 26 मई, 2017 को भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के कोर बैंकिंग सोल्यूशन (ई-कुबेर) सिस्टम पर इलेक्ट्रॉनिक प्रारूप (फॉर्मेट) में पेश की जानी चाहिए।
● गैर-प्रतिस्पर्धी बोलियां प्रात: 10.30 बजे से लेकर प्रात: 11.30 बजे तक और प्रतिस्पर्धी बोलियां प्रात: 10.30 बजे से लेकर दोपहर 12.00 बजे तक पेश की जानी चाहिए।
● इन नीलामियों के नतीजों की घोषणा 26 मई, 2017 को ही कर दी जायेगी और सफल बोली लगाने वालों द्वारा भुगतान 29 मई, 2017 (सोमवार) को किया जायेगा।
● भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक द्वारा जारी किए गए दिशा-निर्देशों के अनुरूप ये स्टॉक ‘व्हेन इश्यूड’ ट्रेडिंग के लिए पात्र माने जाएंगे। इसके लिए दिनांक 16 नवंबर, 2006 को जारी परिपत्र संख्या आरबीआई/2006-07/178 देखें, जिसमें समय-समय पर संशोधन होते रहे हैं।

● उन्होंने अपने प्रतिद्दंदी इब्राहिम रेसी को हराया है. हसन रूहानी ईरान में आर्थिक सुधारों के लिए जाने जाते हैं और वे इस पद के लिए लगातार दूसरी बार चुने गए हैं.
● ईरान में वर्ष 1985 से ही प्रत्येक निवर्तमान राष्ट्रपति का दोबारा चुनाव होता है.
● ईरान के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में कुल 4,12,20,131 वोट पड़े थे, जिनमें रूहानी को दो करोड़ 35 लाख मत मिले, जबकि उनके कट्टरपंथी प्रतिद्वंद्वी इब्राहिम रईसी को एक करोड़ 58 लाख मत मिले.
● वहीं, अन्य उम्मीदवारों मुस्तफा मीरसलीम को 4,78,215 और मुस्तफा हाशमी को 2,15,450 वोट मिले.
● इसे ईरान में सुधारवादी ताकतों की जीत के रूप में देखा जा रहा है.
● हसन रूहानी ने पश्चिमी देशों के साथ संबंध सामान्य करने पर जोर दिया है.
● देश में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव के लिए 70 फीसदी से अधिक मतदाताओं ने मतदान किया.
● ईरान में राष्ट्रपति चुनाव फ़्रांसीसी चुनावी प्रणाली की तर्ज़ पर होते हैं.
देश में अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस का आयोजन
विभिन्न राज्यों व संगठनों द्वारा पूरे देश में आज अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता दिवस मनाया गया। राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रम का आयोजन गोवा स्थित कला अकादमी के दीनानाथ मंगेशकर सभागार में हुआ, जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री श्री मनोहर पर्रिकर उपस्थित थे।
● अपने संबोधन में श्री पर्रिकर ने जैव विविधता के संरक्षण हेतु लोगों की सहभागिता पर विशेष बल दिया। मुख्यमंत्री ने ‘ग्रीन हाट’ विषय पर एक प्रदर्शनी का उदघाटन किया, जिसमें देश के 12 राज्य (सिक्किम, उत्तर प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, आंध्र प्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़ आदि) तथा संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम, गोवा वन विभाग, जूलॉजिकल सर्वे ऑफ इंडिया आदि अपने स्टॉल लगा रहे है। कार्यक्रम के दौरान भारत जैव विविधता पुरस्कार, ‘कॉल फॉर 2018’ भी प्रदान किया गया।
● पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय में अपर सचिव डॉ. अमिता प्रसाद, गोवा सरकार के मुख्य सचिव श्री धर्मेन्द्र शर्मा, गोवा के पर्यावरण एवं वन विभाग में प्रधान सचिव डॉ. रणबीर सिंह, राष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता प्राधिकरण के अध्यक्ष डॉ. बी मीना कुमारी और संयुक्त राष्ट्र विकास कार्यक्रम (यूएनडीपी) की उप निदेशक सुश्री मरीना वाल्टर ने समारोह में भाग लिया। पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय, राष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता प्राधिकरण, गोवा राज्य जैव विविधता बोर्ड, यूएनडीपी तथा केंद्र और राज्य सरकार के विभिन्न संस्थानों के प्रतिनिधि भी कार्यक्रम में उपस्थित थे।
● केन्द्रीय पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) स्वर्गीय श्री अनिल माधव दवे उक्त कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करने वाले थे। उनका 18 मई, 2017 को असामयिक निधन हो गया। दिवंगत मंत्री की स्मृति में दो मिनट का मौन रखा गया।
