I.G.N.C.A. Organizing the seventh series of "Sanjari: one India-great India"

●    The Indira Gandhi National Center for the Art of Culture is organizing a successful "Sanjari: One India-great India Bharat" series starting from its 30th Foundation Day every month.

●    The Center has endeavored to provide the folk music of different parts of the country every month in its original form for the general audience in Delhi so that these folk music can maintain its existence and reach its original form till the new generation.

●   Vice-President Shri Venkaiah Naidu will lay the foundation stone of Southern Campus Building of National Disaster Management Institute (NIDM) in Kondapavuluru village of Gannavaram Mandal in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday (May 22, 2018).

India Receives First Cargo of Adnoc Crude Oil for its Mangalore Strategic Petroleum Reserve

●    India received the first cargo of UAE's crude oil to fill one of the two safari cavities from the two strategic petroleum reserves (SPR) Kandra (Cavern) built in Mangalore by Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserve Limited (ISPRL).

●   Earlier on May 12, Hon'ble Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan and the Minister of State (United States) of UAE and Abu Jaber, Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Adnoc Group's Chief Engineer, M. Inspiration 'To 2 million barrels of crude oil, which was from Dubai's Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc).

●   Shri Rajnish Sahai, Secretary, Railway Board and Mr. S.C., Chairman and Managing Director, RVNL. Agnihotri today signed MoU at Rail Bhawan.

Gurusoch Kaur becomes the first turban female Sikh officer of New York Police

●   Gurusoch Kaur has been included as the first turbaned woman Sikh Assistant Police Officer in the US Department of the New York Police Department.

Nicolas Maduro won the Venezuelan presidential election

Successful test of BrahMos missile for validity of service life extension

●   Today, at 10:40 a.m. successfully tested the BrahMos cruise missile from Integrated Testing Center (ATR) at Chandipur, Odisha.

●    This test was done to increase the service period of the BrahMos Cruise missile.

●  The tests of the missile were seen by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Brahmos scientists.

Dr. Harshavardhan will lead the Indian delegation at the mission-level Innovation Ministerial meeting.

●    Dr. Harshvardhan, Union Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, will lead the Indian delegation in the Ministry of Innovation Ministerial Meeting that will be held in Malmo on 22-23 May, 2018.

●    Mission Innovation is a global platform for 23 countries and the European Union, which is designed to accelerate clean energy innovation through more government assistance, large public-private partnership and more global cooperation.

●   Russia launches the world's first floating nuclear power plant on May 19, 2018

China launches satellite to study the second part of the moon

●    China recently launched a satellite for the purpose of establishing contacts between the Earth and the Chinese lunar exploration mission.

●    The purpose of this mission is to get as much information about the second part of the Moon.

●    The launch of this satellite was done with the help of the Long March-4C Rocket from the Shichang launch center present in the southwest area of the country.

●   The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh today joined the passing out parade of CRPF's 241 Bastariya battalion in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh.

●    Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Home Minister appreciated the efforts of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the State Police to counter the Left extremism.
