Governor of Bihar got additional charge of Odisha 

●        The President has given additional charge of governor of Odisha to Satya Pal Malik, Governor of B's defeat.
●        Malik will continue to discharge his duties with him.
●        The term of the current governor of Odisha SC Jamir is being completed on March 20, 2018.
●        Upon his appointment, till the appointment of the new governor, Mr. Malik will work for the governor of Odisha.
 
Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer Welfare and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship signed MoU


●        A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Central Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in New Delhi today.
●        Under this, programs of skill development training will be organized regularly at Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
●        These training programs will be based on agriculture and related subjects. Apart from this, other Krishi Vigyan Kendra, who are running other skill development centers, will continue in the same form.
 
Government approves setting up of plastic park in Deoghar district of Jharkhand


●        Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Anant Kumar has announced that the Government of India has approved the establishment of a plastic park in the district of Deoghar in Jharkhand.
●        The project will be set up in 150 acres of land at a cost of Rs 120 crores and several polymer products will be produced in it, which include knit bows, moulded furniture, water tank, bottle, pipes, mosquito net etc.

National Cultural Visual Archives (NCAA) becomes the world's first reliable digital repository


●        The National Cultural Visual Audit (NCAA) project of the Ministry of Culture has received the certificate of the world's first trusted digital store.
●        The project implemented by the Indira Gandhi National Center for Art (IGNCA) has been certified by ISO 16363: 2012 by the British Institute, Primary Trustworthy Digital Repository Authorization Body Ltd. (PTAB).
●        On the basis of the survey conducted in 25 cities across the country, over three lakh hours of audio-visual material will be integrated in this store in the next five years.

Nitin Gadkari inaugurated inland ferry service in Goa


●        Union Road Transport and Highways, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari today inaugurated inland ferry service in the port city of Vasco in Goa.
●        In his keynote address, the Minister said that while meeting the needs of the poor, priority should also be given to the priority of environment and ecosystem.

●        In the analysis of Capitoline figures and annual reports, it is reported that the salary of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is 243 times higher than that of staff in India.
●        In addition to the average increase in salaries, salaries of CEOs and other top officials are increasing at a very fast pace due to bonuses.
●        In the year 2017, the average salary of the top executives of the company rose by 12.1 percent to 9.8 million rupees.

Recommendation of granting status of religion to Lingayat by Karnataka government
 
●       Karnataka's Siddaramaiah government has approved the demand for separate religion status on the Lingayat community on March 19, 2018.
●        This proposal has been sent to the Center for approval.
●        Nagamohan Das Committee was constituted to consider Lingayat demand.
●        The state cabinet has accepted the recommendations of the committee.
●        Karnataka has sent this proposal to the Center for final approval.
●        Lingayat society is counted among the front castes of Karnataka.
●        About 18% of people in Karnataka are from the Lingayat community.
 
Raj Babbar resigns from UP Congress State President
 
●       Raj Babbar , President of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee has resigned from his post. However, his resignation has not been accepted yet.
●        Until acceptance of resignation, he will continue to look after the affairs of the PCC President.

Sunil Nair to become Sony's Managing Director from April 1
●        After 24 years of introduction of Sony's Japanese Consumer Electronics Company in India, the business of here will be given in the hands of an Indian for the first time.
●        Sunil Nayar will become the Managing Director of Sony India from 1st April. He will replace Kenichiro Hibi.
●        Nayar joined Sony in 1995.

●        The WTO's biggest informal ministerial meeting began in New Delhi today.
●        The delegation of 52 countries, including World Trade Organization Director General Roberto Azevedo, is attending this meeting.
●        The delegates from 27 countries, who have participated in the meeting, include the Minister and the Deputy Minister.
●        Commerce and Industry Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu welcomed the participants and expressed the hope that the participating countries will get an opportunity to participate in free and inexplicable discussions.

●        He is also known for using smooth vocabulary on complex subjects.
