SJVN signs MoU with Power Ministry


●        SJVN Ltd, which manages the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri hydroelectric station, the country's largest hydro power plant, today signed an MoU with the power ministry for the year 2018-19.
●        On the agreement, Power Secretary Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla and SJVN Chairman and Managing Director Shri Nandlal Sharma signed.
●        Under the agreement, the target of generating 9200 million units of electricity has been fixed.

Birla Group to raise 200 million by selling steak in Idea Payments Bank
 
●        Aditya Birla Group will raise around 200 million rupees by selling 15 to 20 per cent stake in its Idea Payments Bank.
●        Two people, who have a direct knowledge of the scheme, told that the group is putting the valuation of two months old venture in this minority stack cell at Rs 1,000 crore.
●        In this company, the two group companies - Idea Cellular and Aditya Birla Nuvo, have 51% and 49% respectively.

Prime Minister will present awards for excellence in public administration and will address administrative officials


●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will award prizes to the districts / implementation units and Central / State Organizations for excellence in public administration for effective implementation of innovative primary programs and innovation in science building on 21st April.
●        On this occasion, he will also address the administrative officials.

Defense Hospital Trophy for Best Service Hospital went to Command Hospital, Chandimandir


●        Defense Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman presented Defense Minister's trophy and testimonial paper for the best service hospital of Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS), Command Hospital (Western Command) Chandimandir, here today.
●        Major General Rashmi Dutta, Commandant, Command Hospital, Western Command, Chandimandir gave away the award from the hospital on behalf of the Defense Minister.

Government bank pioneer in cancellation of RTI application: study
 
●        In Public Organizations, the government bank is at the forefront of canceling the Right to Information (RTI) application.
●        It was informed in the information released by the Commonwealth Human Rights Campaign that in the total RTI applications received by all government authorities, nine percent of the applications are received by 26 public banks, including the Reserve Bank.
●        It was found in the study that their share of RTI applications to be canceled was 33 percent.
●        In comparison to other public units, the government bank ranks RTI most often.

Rs.637 crore National Clean Air Program

PNB aims to recover Rs 150 cr every month
