PM inaugurates Mahatma Gandhi Museum at Rajkot
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has inaugurated the Mahatma Gandhi Museum in Rajkot. The Museum has been set up at the Alfred High School, which was an important part of the formative years of Mahatma Gandhi. It will help spread awareness about Gandhian culture, values and philosophy.
The Prime Minister also unveiled a plaque to mark the inauguration of a public housing project of 624 houses. He witnessed the e-Gruh Pravesh of 240 beneficiary families.
Government constitutes Competition Law Review Committee to review the Competition Act
In pursuance of its objective of ensuring that Legislation is in sync with the needs of strong economic fundamentals, the Government has constituted a Competition Law Review Committee to review the Competition Act.
The Competition Act was passed in the year 2002 and the Competition Commission of India was set up in pursuance of the same. The Commission started functioning in right earnest from 2009 and has contributed immensely towards the development of competition and fair play practices in the Indian market. During the past nine years the size of the Indian Economy has grown immensely and India is today amongst the top five Economies in the World and poised to forge ahead further. In this context, it is essential that Competition Law is strengthened, and re-calibrated to promote best practices which result in the citizens of this country achieving their aspirations and value for money.
PM Inaugurates modern food processing facilities in Anand
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, inaugurated modern food processing facilities, including Amul’s ultra-modern Chocolate Plant, at Anand today. He also visited the chocolate plant and was briefed on the various technologies used, and products being made there.
Speaking on the occasion, he thanked the people of Anand for turning out in such large numbers.
Referring to India's 75th anniversary of independence in 2022, the Prime Minister said India is doing well in milk processing but can do even better. He said the time has come to give importance to innovation and value addition. In this context he also spoke of the production of honey.
PM inaugurates LNG terminal and pipeline projects at Anjar
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Mundra LNG terminal, the Anjar-Mundra Pipeline Project and the Palanpur-Pali-Barmer pipeline project, at Anjar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that the affection he receives in Kutch is unparalleled. He appreciated the development work that has happened in the Kutch region over the last 20 years.

Closing Ceremony: Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2018
Exercise Yudh Abhyas, a joint Indo-US Military exercise which witnessed participation of an Infantry Battalion of Indian Army and the 1st Battalion 23 Infantry Regiment of US Army concluded at Chaubatia, Uttarakhand on 29 Sep 2018.
The exercise was the 14th in the Yudh Abhyas series, which started in 2004 under US Army Pacific Partnership Programme. Exercise Yudh Abhyas strengthens and broadens interoperability and cooperation between the Indian and US armies. It is the fourth Indian US Army exercise at Chaubattia and complements number of other exchanges and exercise between the forces.
86th Air Force Day: Air Display
The Indian Air Force proudly celebrates its 86TH anniversary on 08 Oct 2018. A scintillating air display by various aircraft will be the hallmark of the Air Force Day Parade cum Investiture Ceremony at Air Force Station Hindan (Ghaziabad). Rehearsals for the air display will commence from 01st October 2018 (Monday). The general area over which aircraft will be flying at low levels are Wazirpur bridge – Karwalnagar – Afjalpur - Hindan, Shamli – Jiwana – Chandinagar – Hindan, Hapur – Philkua – Ghaziabad – Hindan.

प्रधान मंत्री ने राजकोट में महात्मा गांधी संग्रहालय का उद्घाटन किया
प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आज राजकोट में महात्मा गांधी संग्रहालय का उद्घाटन किया। संग्रहालय अल्फ्रेड हाई स्कूल में बनाया गया है, जो महात्मा गांधी के प्रारंभिक वर्षों का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा रहा था। यह गांधीवादी संस्कृति, मूल्यों और दर्शन के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने में मदद करेगा।
प्रधान मंत्री ने 624 घरों की सार्वजनिक आवास परियोजना के उद्घाटन के उपलक्ष्य में एक पट्टिका का अनावरण भी किया और इस अवसर पर 240 लाभार्थी परिवारों के ई-गृह प्रवेश के साक्षी भी बने।
प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम की समीक्षा के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम समीक्षा समिति का गठन
शक्त आर्थिक आधारभूत ढांचे की आवश्यकता के लिए संबधित अधिनियम को समकालीन बनाने के उद्देश्य से केंद्र सरकार ने प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम की समीक्षा के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम समीक्षा समिति का गठन किया है।
वर्ष 2002 में प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम पारित के बाद भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग की स्थापना की गई। वर्ष 2009 से भारतीय प्रतिस्पर्धा आयोग ने कार्य करना प्रारंभ किया और देश में प्रतिस्पर्धा के विकास और बाजार में उचित नीतियों के प्रयोग के प्रति सराहनीय कार्य किया। गत 9 वर्षों में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था में तेजी से वृद्धि हुई है और आज भारत दुनिया की पांच सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था में से एक है और इसके और प्रगति करने की आशा है। इस संदर्भ में प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम को सशक्त करने और नागरिकों को सर्वश्रेष्ठ नियमों द्वारा उनके द्वारा दिए गए मूल्यों के अनुरूप गुणवत्ता को प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा अधिनियम को सशक्त करने की आवश्यकता है।
प्रधानमंत्री ने आणंद में आधुनिक खाद्य प्रसंस्करण सुविधा केंद्रों का उद्घाटन किया
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने आज आणंद में अमूल के अत्याधुनिक चॉकलेट संयंत्र सहित आधुनिक खाद्य प्रसंस्करण सुविधा केंद्रों का उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने चॉकलेट संयंत्र का अवलोकन किया एवं वहां उन्हें उपयोग में लाई जा रही विभिन्न प्रौद्योगिकियों एवं वहां बनाये जा रहे विभिन्न उत्पादों के बारे में जानकरी दी गई।
प्रधानमंत्री ने 2022 में भारत की आजादी के 75वीं वर्षगांठ का उल्लेख करते हुए कहा कि भारत दुग्ध क्षेत्र में बढि़या प्रदर्शन कर रहा है लेकिन वह और भी अच्छा कर सकता है। उन्होंने कहा कि अब समय आ गया है कि नवोन्मेषण एवं मूल्य संवर्द्धन को महत्व दिया जाए। इस संदर्भ में उन्होंने शहद के उत्पादन की भी चर्चा की।
प्रधानमंत्री ने अंजार में एलएनजी टर्मिनल एवं पाइपलाइन परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन किया
प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने आज अंजार-मुंद्रा परियोजना, मुंद्रा एलएनजी टर्मिनल और अंजार में पालनपुर -पाली-बाड़मेर पाइपलाइन परियोजना का उद्घाटन किया।
इस अवसर पर प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि कच्छ में उन्हें जो प्रेम मिला, वह अद्वितीय है। उन्होंने पिछले 20 वर्षों में कच्छ में किए गए विकास कार्यों की सराहना की। गुजरात अब भारत के एलएनजी हब के रूप में उभर रहा है और इससे प्रत्येक गुजरातवासियों को गर्व महसूस करना चाहिए। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि एक मजबूत ऊर्जा क्षेत्र किसी भी देश के विकास के लिए आवश्यक है। उन्होंने कहा कि अगर हम ऊर्जा के लिहाज से निर्धन रहेंगे तो हम गरीबी का उन्मूलन नहीं कर सकते हैं।

समापन समारोह: युद्ध अभ्यास 2018
एक्सरसाइज युद्ध अभ्यास, एक संयुक्त भारत-यूएस सैन्य अभ्यास जिसमें भारतीय सेना के इन्फैंट्री बटालियन की भागीदारी देखी गई और अमेरिकी सेना के प्रथम बटालियन 23 इन्फैंट्री रेजिमेंट ने 2 9 सितंबर 2018 को उत्तराखंड के चौबातिया में निष्कर्ष निकाला।
यह अभ्यास युद्ध अभ्यस्त श्रृंखला में 14 वां था, जिसने 2004 में अमेरिकी सेना प्रशांत भागीदारी कार्यक्रम के तहत शुरू किया था। अभ्यास युधि अभ्यास भारतीय और अमेरिकी सेनाओं के बीच अंतःक्रियाशीलता और सहयोग को मजबूत और विस्तृत करता है। यह चौबत्ती में चौथा भारतीय अमेरिकी सेना का अभ्यास है और बलों के बीच कई अन्य एक्सचेंजों और अभ्यास को पूरा करता है।
86वां वायु सेना दिवस: वायु प्रदर्शन
भारतीय वायु सेना गर्वपूर्वक 08 अक्तूबर 2018 को अपना 86वां वायु सेना दिवस मनाएगी। इस दौरान विभिन्न वायुयानों द्वारा हैरतजंग हवाई करतब प्रदर्शित किये जाएगे समारोह एयर फोर्स स्टेशन हिंडन (गाजियाबाद) में होगा। हवाई करतब के लिए रिहर्सल 01 अक्तूबर 2018 (सोमवार) से आरंभ होंगे।
सामान्य रूप से वायुयान नीचे के स्तर से जिन क्षेत्रों के ऊपर से गुजरेंगे, वे हैं- वजीरपुर पुल-करावलनगर-अफजलपुर-हिंडन, शामली-जिवाना-चंडीनगर-हिंडन, हापुड़-पिलखुवा-गाजियाबाद-हिंडन।
पक्षी विशेष रूप से निचले स्तर पर उड़ने वाले वायु यानों के लिए बहुत गंभीर खतरा बन जाते हैं। खुले में फेंके गए खाद्य पदार्थ पक्षियों को अपने तरफ आकर्षित करते हैं। हमारे वायु यानों, पायलटों एवं लोगों की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भारतीय वायु सेना दिल्ली, गाजियाबाद एवं समीपवर्ती क्षेत्रों के लोगों से आग्रह करती है कि वे खुले में खाद्य पदार्थ व कूड़ा न फेंके।
