Integrated logistics department will be formed for facilitating exporters: Commerce Secretary
●        Giving assurance of the government's support to the exporters, the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Shri C.R. Chaudhary urged the exporting community to achieve export target of $ 76 billion during 2017-18.
●        While giving the EEPC India National Award to 110 engineering exporters in New Delhi, Shri Choudhary said that it is important that the exporters have done remarkable work during the year 2016-17 when the global economy was undergoing recession.


Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh launches online analysis tool for overseeing overseas contributions under FCRA
●        Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh today launched an online analysis tool for monitoring foreign fund flows and its use under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 here today.
●        This web based tool will help the officers of different departments of the government to check the source of foreign contribution and its use in India.
 
 
88 years of 'Deccan Queen' rail service
●        On June 1, 1930, the pioneering 'Deccan Queen' rail service was started between two major cities of Maharashtra, which was the major historical achievement of the Great Indian Peninsula (GIP) Railway.
●        This first deluxe train was introduced to serve two important cities of this area and it was named after the famous Pune city as 'Queen of the Deccan'.

●        Women and Child Development Minister, Mrs. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi today laid the foundation stone of modern DNA forensic laboratory in the premises of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, Chandigarh.
●        In the program, the Minister said that forensic examination is an important role in criminal investigations and the Advanced Lab will contribute greatly to tackle the reduction in forensic DNA investigation of pending cases of sexual harassment in the country.

●        Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ruppe Card, Bhima and SBI App in Singapore on May 31, 2018.
●        India's digital payment system has been linked to Singapore's 33-year-old Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS).
●        All users of the Rupee will be able to pay in Singapore where all the NETs are acceptable.

PhonePay's annual gross transaction reached the run rate of $ 20 billion

 
●        Digital Payments Startup Phone is doing nearly 2 billion transactions a month, and with its mobile app, about 30 million bank accounts are connected. This claim is made by the company.
●        PhonePay CEO Sameer Nigam said that their target is to carry up to 150 million transactions every month till December.

●        In order to increase the participation of people in income tax department's efforts to detect black money and reduce tax evasion, the Income Tax Department has released a new award scheme titled 'Benami Transaction Informer Award Scheme 2018'.
●        The purpose of this scheme is to encourage people to give information about the transactions and properties and the income earned on such properties made by hidden investors and beneficial owners.
