Ten indigenous nuclear power reactors will be built in the country
●        Government has given government and financial sanctions in June 2017 to install ten indigenous nuclear power reactors in the country.
●        Each of these reactors has a capacity of 700 MW.
●        These reactors manufactured from indigenous technology will be planted by the Indian Atomic Energy Corporation Limited.
●        NPCIL is a wholly-owned public undertaking of the Government of India, which works under the Department of Atomic Energy.
 
A world-class exhibition will be organized on the four famous celebrities of Bengal in the National Library
●        Secretary Raghvendra Singh in the Ministry of Culture today said that a world-class exhibition on Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, will be permanently put in the National Library of Kolkata.
●        The permanent art museum will show paintings, photographs and various sculptures related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
 

Formation of National Resource Centers for Preparing Online Training Materials
●        Keeping in view the revised curriculum, the Government has proposed to set up National Resource Centers to prepare online training material in view of the improvement in the subjects, new and emerging trends and improvement in teaching method.
●        In the first stage, In relation to 75 special subjects the national Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya teachers and education Mission, IIS, IUCAA, IIT, IISER, State Universities, University Grants Commission's Human Resource Development Centers, National Technical Teacher Training Institutes, IIIT, open Universities in Central Universities have been chosen.
 

By 2022, the target of setting up a renewable energy capacity of 175 gigawatts fixed.
 
●        The government has set a target of storing a 40 gigawatt solar capacity grid on the rooftops of the house, including the Delhi-NCR till 2022.
●        According to Delhi Solar Policy, notified by the National Capital Territory of Delhi, 2016, the target of setting up solar power of one gigawatt capacity by 2020 and 2 gigawatt capacity by 2025 has been set.
 

Signing of consent for domestic development of petroleum-certified reference material between CSIR-NPL and HPCL
●        CSIR-National Physical Laboratory signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hindustan Petroleum Limited for the indigenous development of petroleum certified reference material under the commercial name of the Indian Directorate.
●        This will ensure that the petroleum products used by all stakeholders, including the common man, not only maintain the highest quality quality ecosystem but also save the foreign exchange through export replacement for CRMS.
 

Organizing Ganga Plantation Campaign in Five Ganga Basin States
●        The Ganga 'Plantation Campaign' was started from 9th to 15th July, 2018 in five major states of Ganga valley like Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal on behalf of the National Clean Ganga Mission.
●        Nodal agency was created to effectively implement this campaign to the forest departments of these states.
●        The participation of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Ganga Vichar Manch, several NGOs and educational institutions in the campaign was encouraging.


Constitutional authority of women to enter and worship in Sabarimala temple: Supreme Court
 
●        While hearing the matter of entering and praying women in Kerala Sabarimala temple, the Supreme Court on July 18, 2018, remarked that the Sabarimala temple is not a personal property, it is a public property.
●        The Supreme Court said that if men have the right to enter and worship in this temple then women also have the same rights as well.


Ayushman plans to release 11 million cards
 
●        For Ayushman Bharat Scheme , the government will print about 11 crore 'Family Cards' and will hand them over to the people.
●        The government will organize 'Ayushman Pakhwara' in villages.
●        The cards will be given at the same time.
●        The government will also make 24X7 call centers in Delhi where complaints of people related to this medical insurance scheme will be heard and questions will be answered.


Fugitive economic offender bill passed in the Lok Sabha
 
●        The Lok Sabha approved the Fugitive Economic Offenders Bill, 2018 on Thursday.
●        In order to prevent legal action in this bill, strict provisions have been made to stop the criminals fleeing the country.
●        It will replace the ordinance brought in by the government in April to implement these provisions.
●        The Lok Sabha passed this bill in a nutshell.

●        The nationwide emergency situation has been abolished on 18th July 2018 in Turkey.
●        Two years ago an emergency situation was set after the failed attempt of a coup.

●        This verdict has been done two weeks after winning the election of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
 

 EU imposes $ 5 billion fine on Google
 
●        The European Union announced on July 18, 2018 that Google had taken the wrong advantage of its supremacy, due to which a huge penalty of $ 5 billion was imposed on Google.
●        Google has been fined a record $ 5 billion fine on the charge of mimicking other companies with the mobile operating system Android.
 
 
First 2 + 2 talks between India, US on September 6
●        Two + 2 talks that have been deferred between India and the US will now be held on September 6 in New Delhi.
●        The US Foreign Ministry has announced this on Friday.
●        Last month, the US had postponed the much talked about citing unavoidable reasons.
●        Now US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Minister James Matisse will come to India for the talks.

Jet Airways to buy 75 airplanes for $ 8.8 billion from Boeing
 
●        Jet Airways has signed a deal with Boeing Company on Tuesday to buy 75 additional single-ale 737 Max aircraft for the current price list for $ 8.8 billion.
●        The deal between the two companies took place during Farnborough International Airshow, which started in London on Monday.
●        Earlier in 2015, Jet also ordered the purchase of 75 such aircraft.


Pepsico focused on 'Healthier' 
 
●        PepsiCo India has reduced its sodium content from 13 to 15% in its snack product 'lace'.
●        The company has taken this step to make the product healthy.
●        With this, PepsiCo has decided to reduce the size of the pack size of lace and crunch.
●        The quantity of these products will not be reduced in the new pack size.

●        American pair of Mike and Jack Sok, together with just another tournament, went down fighting to Raven Klaasen of South Africa and Michael Venus of New Zealand 6-3, 6-7 (7), 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 defeated.
 
Ministry of Sports proposes relief in selection rules for Asian Games
  
●        The Sports Ministry intervened in the ongoing controversy over the selection of the team for the forthcoming Asian Games on Wednesday to assess the criteria made by the Indian Olympic Association and to give 'relief in specific cases' in the selection rules. Have asked for.
●        In a letter to IO President Narinder Batra, the Ministry said that the athletes may be allowed to be given teams if they are likely to win a medal in Asian Games or stay in the top four.
