Prime Minister launches railway projects in Mysore
 
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today dedicated the electrified railway line between Mysore and KSR Bangalore to the nation today.
●        They flagged the 'Palace Queen Hamsters Express' train running between Mysore and Udaipur at a ceremony held at Mysore Railway Station.
●        Earlier, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the Bahubali General Hospital.
 
 
National Workshop organized on "Agriculture 2022-Doubling Farmers Income"
 
●        The Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Shri Radha Mohan Singh has said that the government wants to see the wages of the farmer with the stock of food and agricultural products and increase their income.
●        This was stated by the Union Agriculture Minister in the inaugural function of the two-day workshop (19-20 February 2018) held in New Delhi on 'Agriculture 2022 - Doubling Farmers Income'.
 
 Delhi Clean Air Campaign


●        The Central Government has requested the governments of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to take all measures to reduce air pollution in nearby cities like Ghaziabad, Noida, Faridabad and Gurugram.
●        The State Governments and other agencies have been instructed to pay special attention to the activities of pollution in large quantities, making necessary decisions by visiting the spot in case of vehicular pollution and traffic jam.


Ministry of Railways has given maximum relaxation of age limit for all categories
 
●        The Ministry of Railways has decided to provide relaxation in maximum age limit for recruitment on Group C Level I and II posts.
●        The Railway Recruitment Board will release the corrigendum on its official website shortly.
●        The last date for submission of application will be forwarded appropriately.
●        It has been decided to make available the question papers in various regional languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Oriya, Telugu and Bengali to the examiners.
 
500 km long highway projects costing Rs 3700 crores in Karnataka
 
●        Road Transport and Highways, Shipping, Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister, Shri Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stone of 138.5 km long highway projects worth Rs 873.5 crore in Shimoga district of Karnataka today.
●        Nitin Gadkari is on a two-day official tour of this state, where he will lay the foundation stone for more than 500 kilometers of highway projects costing more than 3700 crore rupees in Shimoga, Bidar, Bijapur and Hubli districts.


Sex ratio in Gujarat worst


●        In a report related to the recently released sex ratio, the statistics of 21 states have been given in India.
●        According to these figures, there has been a significant decline in sex ratio in 17 states.
●        The biggest difference in the number of men and women is found in Gujarat.
●        The Policy Commission has released this report for a period of 2015-16.
 
 
Gitanjali CFO, Vice President and board member resigns
 
●        Gitanjali James's big executives involved in a Rs 11,300-crore PNB loan scam broke away from the company.
●        Two senior officers of senior management including Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Chandrakant Karkare and one board member have resigned.
●        In a regulatory filing, the company told that the resignation of Vice President and company secretary Pankhuri will be effective from February 13, while Karkare separated himself on 15 February from the post of CFO.


Amazon launches food retailing business in Pune
 

●        Amazon has started his food retail business in India under the pilot project in Pune.
●        Amazon has become the first foreign e-commerce company, which is selling food items directly to people in India.
●        The country's second largest e-commerce company, Amazon, may take up to three months to start a food retailing business across the country.


Gujarat body elections : BJP out of 75 in 47 municipalities won
 
●        The results of the 75 municipal elections in Gujarat came on Monday.
●        BJP won 47 seats, while Congress got 16 seats.
●        BJP lost 13 seats in comparison to last election.

Researchers searched for scientific reasons behind Aurora secrets
 
●        On the basis of a study, scientists from the University of Tokyo of Japan have claimed to explore the scientific secrets behind the presence of Aurora i.e. Northern Lights on both the poles of the earth.
●        By this research, the physical causes of these colorful light rays were not yet known, but the physical causes were detected by the research of the scientists of the University of Tokyo.
●        According to the scientists of the University of Tokyo, Aurora is born from the mutation of electrons and plasma waves.

Women in Saudi Arabia will be able to start business even without men's approval
 
●        Now in Saudi Arabia, women will not need the permission of their husbands or other male relatives to start their own business.
●        This decision has been taken to promote private sector in the country.

●        Telecom company Aircel will soon apply for bankruptcies in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
●        Earlier the company's board has been dissolved.

●        Later, the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular will be completed, then only three players will remain in the telecom market of the country.
 

 France gives 800 crores to Smart India mission
