Infosys builds block chain based trade finance network

●    Infosys Limited has formed a blockchain based trade finance network with seven private sector banks.

●    Infosys Finacle Software Most Indian Banks Use In Their Operation

●    Infosys has created a trade network India Trade Connect on blockchain technology based in India with seven banks, including Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, South Indian Bank, Yes Bank, IndusInd Bank and RBL Bank.

Environment Ministry constitutes 19 parties for cleaning beaches and river banks

●    Keeping in mind the World Environment Day, 2018, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has formed 19 parties for cleaning the coastal areas, river banks and lakes.

●    Under this, 24 coastal coasts of 9 coastal states and 24 river banks of 19 states will be cleared.

Approval of e-SIM, Telecom Department issued guidelines

●    The Central Government approved the use of e-SIM in the country on May 18, 2018.

●    Now customers will not need to buy a new SIM when the mobile company changes.

●    A consumer will now be able to get 18 mobile connections.

Parcel cargo express train (PCET) connecting North East to west coast

●    In line with the central government's priority to provide connectivity facilities to the North

Eastern Region and empower local industries in this area, the North-East Frontier Railway has started operating the parcel cargo train connecting the North East to the western coast.

●    This train will run twice a month.

●    This 6 year contract has been leased from the railway.

Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Zojila tunnel and ring road in Jammu and Srinagar

●    Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be involved in the program to start the work of Zojila Tunnel on Srinagar-Leh National Highway in Jive Stahl, Leh.

●    He will lay the foundation stone of Srinagar Ring Road and Jammu Ring Road in different programs at Sher-E-Kashmir International Conference Center (SKICC) in Srinagar and General Zorawar Singh Auditorium in Jammu.

Number of domestic airlines increased by 26% in April

●    The number of passengers flying from domestic airlines has seen an increase of 26.05% in April this year.

●    According to statistics, 1.15 million passengers flew from Domestic Airlines in April, while in April 2017, 91 lakh passengers took off.

●    As a result, all major airlines flew with more than 80% seats.

India participated in the meeting of Culture Ministers as a full time member for the first time

●    The Minister of State for Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, led the Indian delegation to participate in the 15th meeting of the Culture Ministers of the member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) held in Sanya, Hainan province on May 16 and 17, 2018.

●    India participated in the meeting of the Culture Ministers of SCO for the first time.

Elon Musk publicly made the information public on 'Loop' project

●    Elon Musk, owner of the famous Spacex company, recently shared the information on the 'loop' project and said that this project is about to expire and soon it will be started for the free demo for the common people.

●    A video was shared by Alan Musk on Instagram, in which the task of the tunnel was shown.

●    The Boring Company was founded by Elon Musk to explore the future of the tunnel in 2016.

WHO released the first essential diagnostic list

●    The World Health Organization (WHO) has published a list of necessary diagnostic lists for the diagnosis of common diseases and priority diseases.

●    This is the first such list released by the WHO.

●    The list also includes information about the WHO guidelines applicable for various types of diagnostics and it is reported that WHO prequalified products are available in a particular category or not.

●    Public Undertaking NMDC Limited has received the S&P Platts Global Metal Award for the year 2018 in the Corporate Social Responsibility category.

●    The award was given to the company on May 17, 2018 at a function held in London.

●    NMDC has received this award among the 12 major companies in the world nominated for the award.

Stars were made after 25 million years of Big Bang: Study

●    Scientists studying a galaxy located 13.28 billion light-years away from the Earth say that the early stars would have been created 25 million years after the creation of the universe.

●    This research has been published in Nature Magazine.

●    The universe was born of a great explosion called the Big Bang.

●    Hindustan Unilever Limited Non Executive Chairman Harish Manwani has been appointed as an independent director in Tata Sons.

●    Manwani, 64, has been the Global Chief Operating Officer of Unilever.

●    He has also lived in the board of directors of Qualcomm, Guilid Sciences, Nielsen Holdings, Whirlpool and the Economic Development Board of Singapore.
