Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Radha Mohan Singh addressed the National Conference of Fisheries Ministers of the coastal states.

●  Hon'ble Union Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister, Shri Radha Mohan Singh addressed them in the meeting of the Honorable Fisheries Ministers of the coastal states to discuss the topic "Marine Fisheries".

●   India's average export rate in fish has been the highest in the world in the last decade with an increase of 14%.

●   Fish production in the country has increased 27% in 2014-18 compared to 2010-14.

Environment Ministry constituted 19 parties for cleaning coastal coasts, river banks and lakes in 9 coastal states

●   Given the World Environment Day, 2018, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has formed 19 parties for cleaning the coastal areas, river banks and lakes in the country.

●   There will be cleaning of 24 river banks of 9 coastal states (list enclosed) and 24 river banks of 19 states (list enclosed).

'Green Skill Development Program' to train 5.5 lakh youth by 2021

●   Dr. Harshvardhan, Union Forest, Environment and Climate Change, launched the Green Skills Development Program on 14th May 2018.

●   The objective of this program is to meet the increasing demand of skilled workforce for conservation of the environment.

Formation of Directorate General of Trade Measures (DGTR) in the Department of Commerce

●   Department of Commerce has formally issued notification for the formation of Directorate General of Trade Measures in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

●   Hon'ble Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Suresh Prabhu has given its approval to the proposal for the formation of DGTR in the Department of Commerce after the amendment in the Indian Government (Business Allocation) Rules, 1961, in this context on May 7.

10 agreements signed between Haryana and UK

●   MOU has been signed with Birmingham University for research and collaborative activities in the agriculture sector, including Cold Energy.
