Former CM Beant Singh's killer Jagtar Singh Tara sentenced to life imprisonment
 
●        Jagtar Singh Tara , a terrorist who was convicted in a case related to the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh , has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Chandigarh court on Saturday.
●        Tara's lawyer Simranjit Singh gave this information.
●        Jagtar Singh Tara had told the court in writing that if the lives of thousands of people are saved by killing a ruthless person, then it is not wrong.

India is no longer research and development center

●        China overtook India in terms of attracting global companies' engineering and research and development centers.
●        For the first time in two years, China has betrayed it.
●        According to a report by HFS Research, during October-December 2017, various local and global companies announced their establishment of nine captives or global in-house centers in China.

5th river festival commenced

●        The fifth river festival started at Tawa-Narmada Sangam site in Bandra Bhavan on Friday.

Second-third submarine of Scorpion class seals trial in sea

●        Commandant, Vice Admiral and National Defense College, said on Saturday that the second and third submarines of the Scorpene class are undergoing trial in the sea.
●        The rest are under three constructions.
●        Six submarines of Scorpene class are to be included in the Navy.
●        Scorpene class the first submarine INS Kalvari Narendra Modi was dedicated to the nation on December 14 in Mumbai.

Gina Haspel CIA first woman chief selected

●        US President Donald Trump appointed American intelligence agency Mike Pompey as foreign minister on March 13, 2018, and in his place, Jean Heppel was selected as CIA chief.
●        He has been nominated by the President, if the final stamp is placed on his name by the Senate, then Jeena Haspel will be the first female head of the CIA.

President will inaugurate the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (FINE) at Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 19th.
●        President Shri Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (FINE) in Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 19 and the Gandhian youth will be awarded the technological innovation award formed by the Research and Initiative Society (Srishti) for sustainable technologies and institutes.
●        An initiative for approving, honoring, displaying and promoting an auxiliary system for innovators, is being organized from 19 to 23 March 2018 in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India and the National Innovation Foundation, Is being done in collaboration with India.
 

Russia expelled 23 diplomats from Britain

●        Russia has expelled 23 UK diplomats from the country.
●        Russia has said that it is also shutting down the activities of the British Council in its own country .
●        Russia has given these diplomats a week's time to leave the country.
●        Russia has made this announcement on 'inflammatory' action by London for poisoning former Russia agent and his daughter.

British billionaire Sanjeev Gupta will break Tesla's record by breaking the world's largest battery
 
●        Britain's billionaire Sanjeev Gupta has unveiled plans to build the world's largest lithium-ion battery.
●        Sanjeev of Indian origin will build this battery in South Australia.
●        South African President J. Väderile said that this would benefit a large society.
●        Record of the largest lithium battery is near Tesla, which has a 100MW battery in South Australia.
 
Pakistan joins list of pro-terror countries
 
●        Pakistan has again been included in the list of countries that help the terrorist countries.
●        The Pak government himself gave this information.
●        After this action, banking transactions from other countries will end, which will affect its economy.

Agricultural advancement fair
 
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited the Agricultural Upgradation Mela organized at IARI Mela Ground in Pusa Complex, New Delhi today.
●        He visited the theme pavilion and biological fair Kumbh.
●        They laid foundation stones of 25 agricultural science centers.
●        He also launched an e-marketing portal for organic products.
●        He has given Krishi Karman Award and Pandit Din Dayal Upadhyay Agricultural Incentive Award.

MP received Krishi Karman Award for 5th time

●        Madhya Pradesh has become the first state to take the Krishi Karman Award for the fifth time in a row.
●        This award was given to the state under the category of wheat production in the year 2015-16.
●        On Saturday, PM Narendra Modi presented the trophy to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Delhi .
●        Along with this award, MP has left Punjab and Haryana behind in wheat production.

●        K L Rahul is among the successful batsmen of the T-20 format.
●        He is a batsman who averages more runs than captain Virat Kohli in T-20 matches.

 Kevin Pietersen retires from cricket

●        England veteran Kevin Pietersen has retired from cricket.
●        They announced it on social media on Saturday.
●        Between the fans, famously known as KP, this is the goodbye of cricket after playing for Quetta in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

GST is very complex in India: World Bank Report
 
●        In the India Development Update Half Yearly Report by the World Bank on March 14, 2018, the goods and services tax (GST) is a challenge for the Indian economy.
●        The report says that GST in India is very complex.
●        The World Bank report says that compared to 115 countries, the tax rate in India is the second highest.
●        There are 5 tax slabs in GST implemented on 1 July 2017.
●        Many goods and services have been kept out of the realm of GST.

India second in tax rate

●        India's tax reform is the most complex.
●        Countries with more than four or four tax rates are Italy, Luxembourg, Pakistan and Ghana.
●        In the 115 countries that the World Bank analyzed, India's highest tax slab, 28% is the second highest in the world.
●        GST has the same rate in 49 countries of the world, while 28 countries are where GST has two rates.
●        India's GST has five tax slabs of 0, 5, 12, 18 and 28 percent.

Bankruptcy Board signs MoU with Reserve Bank of India
 
●        The Indian Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Board (IBBI) signed an MoU with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on March 12, 2018.
●        Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, has been mentioned in a time-bound solution to corporate persons, partnership firms and various people, to maximize the value of assets of such persons.

Stephen Hawking dies

●        Stephen Hawking, the great scientist who tells the world's well-known physical scientist and the mysteries of the universe, died.
●        He was 76 years old.
●        Stephen Hawking's family has confirmed his death by issuing a statement on March 13, 2018.
●        His children are Lucie, Robert and Tim in Hawking's family.
