Former CM Beant Singh's killer Jagtar Singh Tara sentenced to life imprisonment
 
●        Jagtar Singh Tara , a terrorist who was convicted in a case related to the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh , has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Chandigarh court on Saturday.
●        Tara's lawyer Simranjit Singh gave this information.
●        Jagtar Singh Tara had told the court in writing that if the lives of thousands of people are saved by killing a ruthless person, then it is not wrong.

India is no longer research and development center


●        China overtook India in terms of attracting global companies' engineering and research and development centers.
●        For the first time in two years, China has betrayed it.

5th river festival commenced

●        President Shri Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival (FINE) in Rashtrapati Bhavan on March 19 and the Gandhian youth will be awarded the technological innovation award formed by the Research and Initiative Society (Srishti) for sustainable technologies and institutes.
●        An initiative for approving, honoring, displaying and promoting an auxiliary system for innovators, is being organized from 19 to 23 March 2018 in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India and the National Innovation Foundation, Is being done in collaboration with India.

●        Sanjeev of Indian origin will build this battery in South Australia.

MP received Krishi Karman Award for 5th time


●        Madhya Pradesh has become the first state to take the Krishi Karman Award for the fifth time in a row.
●        This award was given to the state under the category of wheat production in the year 2015-16.
●        On Saturday, PM Narendra Modi presented the trophy to CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Delhi .

GST is very complex in India: World Bank Report
 
●        In the India Development Update Half Yearly Report by the World Bank on March 14, 2018, the goods and services tax (GST) is a challenge for the Indian economy.
●        The report says that GST in India is very complex.
●        The World Bank report says that compared to 115 countries, the tax rate in India is the second highest.
●        There are 5 tax slabs in GST implemented on 1 July 2017.
●        Many goods and services have been kept out of the realm of GST.

●        India's tax reform is the most complex.
●        Countries with more than four or four tax rates are Italy, Luxembourg, Pakistan and Ghana.
●        In the 115 countries that the World Bank analyzed, India's highest tax slab, 28% is the second highest in the world.
●        GST has the same rate in 49 countries of the world, while 28 countries are where GST has two rates.
●        India's GST has five tax slabs of 0, 5, 12, 18 and 28 percent.


Bankruptcy Board signs MoU with Reserve Bank of India
 
●        The Indian Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Board (IBBI) signed an MoU with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on March 12, 2018.
●        Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, has been mentioned in a time-bound solution to corporate persons, partnership firms and various people, to maximize the value of assets of such persons.

●        He was 76 years old.

●        His children are Lucie, Robert and Tim in Hawking's family.
