Prime Minister addressed New India Conclave
 
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi addressed the New India Conclave today in New Delhi.
●        The Prime Minister said that according to the International Report, poverty in India is declining at record pace.
●        He said that the government can only play the role of enablers whereas youth are not only taking advantage of the available possibilities, but they are also creating new possibilities for themselves.
 
A two-day conference of heads of AYUSH National Institutes was inaugurated today
 
●        Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik today inaugurated 'A Two-Day Conference of Heads of AYUSH National Institutes - Moving towards Excellence' organized by Akhil Bharatiya Ayurveda Institute in New Delhi.
●        The conference was organized with the aim of improving quality, hospital care services, education, co-ordination and infrastructure in research with the development of National AYUSH institutions as a guide.
 
Agreement signed between AIIA and IIT Delhi
 
●        Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik today inaugurated 'A Two-Day Conference of Heads of AYUSH National Institutes - Moving towards Excellence' organized by Akhil Bharatiya Ayurveda Institute in New Delhi.
●        During the conference, the agreement between the All India Institute of Ayurveda and Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi was also signed.
 

Proposed Amendments in the Central Automotive Rules
 
●        The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified the draft amendment in the Central Motor Vehicle Rules.
●        It has made the fastest and vehicle tracking system equipment mandatory for all commercial vehicles receiving national permits.
●        It is mandatory to have a fast-fire'd sticker on the vehicle's windscreen.


Steel CPSE Employee Pension Scheme Announced
 
●        The Steel Ministry has agreed to the proposal to implement the pension scheme from various CPSEs under its control, which will be decided by the company on January 1, 2007 and in the case of non-executive, from January 1, 2012 or as it will be decided by the company , Will be effective from a later date.
●        This agreement was agreed after detailed consultation with the employees' associations and officers organizations related to SAIL, RINL, MSTC, FSNL, MECON and KIOCL.
 

Women and Child Development Ministers of States / Union Territories focused on women and child protection
 
●        A high level National Meeting of Women and Child Development Ministers of States / Union Territories was held in New Delhi today.
●        The meeting was chaired by Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs. Maneka Sanjay Gandhi.
●        Ministers of Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya and Manipur participated in the meeting.
 
 
Constitution of the Committee to establish synergies between NCC and NSS
●        The Government has decided to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of former Education Secretary Mr. Anil Swarup.
●        The Committee will work on issues such as strengthening, expanding, rationalizing resources and lower number of labor force affecting NSS and NCC.
●        The committee will also recommend making a synergy between the NSS and the NCC and will also suggest suggestions for empowering the youth.
 

National database will be made for those who hold gun licenses
 
●        The Home Ministry has issued a notification and said that the names of those who hold all new and old gun licenses from April 2019 will be included in the national database.
●        Unique Identification Number (UIN) will also be issued to license holders.
●        The Ministry of Home Affairs, the aim of this step is to keep an eye on the authorized private gun holders.
●        The Home Ministry has said in the notification that the License and Renewal Authority will have to file the data in the National Database of the Weapon License System.
●        After this the concerned arms license holder will be given a UIN. Without UIN weapons license, it will be considered illegal.
 
President Ramnath Kovind approved anti-witch victim bill
 
●        President Ramnath Kovind has approved the Assam Witch victim Bill.
●        Now this bill has become law after nearly three years of passage from Assam Assembly.
●        This bill has been prepared under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in which witch torture is considered to be a violation of human rights.


President nominates four members for Rajya Sabha
 
●        President Ramnath Kovind has nominated Rakesh Sinha, Sonal Mansingh, Raghunath Mohapatra and Ram Sakal Singh for the Rajya Sabha on July 14, 2018.
●        On the advice of the Prime Minister using the powers conferred under Article 80 of the Constitution and the President has nominated these four people to the Rajya Sabha.
 

Manohar Lal Khattar launches plantation campaign in Haryana
 
●        Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar launched the Planting Campaign on July 15, 2018
●        The purpose of this campaign is to promote greenery in the state and keep the environment clean.
●        During this monsoon session, more than 22 lakh trees will be planted in the state so that the green area can be increased.

●        UK's Aviation Worldwide Limited has prepared a list of 20 mega airlines on time, in which Indigo is fourth.

Government to provide capital of Rs 11,336 crore to five public sector banks
●        The government has approved the capital infusion of Rs 11,336 crore to meet their needs in five public sector banks including Punjab National Bank, Corporation Bank and Andhra Bank.
●        This is the first time in the current financial year that capital is being provided to government banks.
●        According to the government's promise, the remaining Rs 53,664 crore will be made available in the coming months of the financial year.
