Suresh Prabhu launches digital platform for MSME exporters
 
●        Commerce and Industry Minister Suresh Prabhu today launched a digital platform 'Fio Globallinker' for MSME exporters in New Delhi to digitize their business and connect with the global community of growing businesses.
●        This initiative will also help in expanding India's multi-centric export strategy as well as connecting different art and artists to the market.
 
Manoj Sinha launches Darpan-PLI app


●        Union Minister of Communications, Mr. Manoj Sinha today launched the Darpan-PLI App, which will provide assistance in the collection of installment of PLI and RPLI insurance policies.
●        Through this app, installments can be deposited in any post office in India and online updates of policy and money collection will be possible.
●        Through this app, maturity claims of the said insurance policies can be settled in the post office only.

J.P. High level meeting on leprosy and tuberculosis (TB) under the chairmanship of Nadda


●        Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri J.P. Nadda held a high-level meeting here today to review the progress of National Leprosy Disease Eradication Program (NLEP) and the progress made under the revised National Tuberculosis Control Program (RNTCP).
●        In the meeting, Additional Secretary (Health) Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Secretary and Managing Director Mr. Manoj Jhalani and other senior officials of the Union Health Ministry were present.
 
Launch of portal 'Study in India' by Ministry of Human Resource Development
 
●        Sushma Swaraj will launch 'Study in India' portal of Human Resource Development Ministry in India Habitat Center on April 18, 2018.
●        Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shri Satyapal Singh will also be present on this occasion.
●        This portal will facilitate applications for enrollment in 150 different Indian institutions for 30 countries of South Asia, Africa, CIS and Middle East.

Paytm Payments Bank will offer Foreign Exchange and Money Transfer Service


●        After giving convenience to savings and wealth management to customers, Paytm is going to start the facility of fast exchange and cross-border payments soon.
●        Paytm will take this step through its payments bank.
●        For this, he has got an Authorized Dealership license from the RBI.
●        In addition to Paytm, this license has been received by Airtel Payments Bank and Jio Payments Bank.
 
Market value of Kotak Mahindra Bank crossed the SBI for the first time

121 crores of rupees were released in the form of contribution of Government of India in the Atal Pension Scheme
 
●        The Atal Pension Scheme (APY) is being implemented by APY service providers in urban and rural areas across the country including Public Sector Banks (PSBs), Private Sector Banks, Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), Cooperative Banks and Postal Department Are included.
●        The total number of members registered under the APY till April 12, 2018 has gone upto 97.60 lakh.
●        This scheme is co-contributed by the Government of India for those who have registered before March 31, 2016.

India will have growth rate of 7.3 percent in 2018: World Bank
 
●        The World Bank estimates that India's economic growth rate will be 7.3 percent in 2018 and it will reach 7.5 percent in the year 2019 and 2020.
●        The World Bank said that the economy of the country has come out of the ban of cancellation and goods and services tax (GST).
●        Now, to maintain this growth rate, India has to create millions of jobs every year.

●        In the study conducted by the researchers of IIT, Kharagpur, it has been found that the end of Indus Valley Civilization is due to severe drought of hundreds of years.
●        Researchers have discovered the drought period of approximately 4350 years ago due to the end of the Indus Valley Civilization.
●        Scientists of IIT Kharagpur have come to know in a research that the drought lasted for a few years or a few decades, but not for a full 900 years.
