Madhya Pradesh Tops in the Implementation of PM SVANidhi
• Madhya Pradesh has topped in implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) by sanctioning an interest-free loan of around Rs 15.50 crore to 15,500 street vendors in the state.
• PM SVANidhi is a central sector scheme to help and formalize the street vendors involved in small businesses across the country. The scheme is funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
DRDO develops P7 Heavy Drop System
• The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed P7 Heavy Drop System that is capable of para dropping military stores up to 7-ton weight class from IL 76 aircraft.
• The system is fully indigenous and is being manufactured by L&T who makes the platform system, parachutes manufactured by Ordnance Factory.
International
UK bans companies from sourcing 5G equipment from Huawei
• The United Kingdom has imposed a ban on its telecom companies from sourcing 5G equipment from Chinese telecom company Huawei. The announcement was made by UK’s Digital Secretary Oliver Dowden after a meeting chaired by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
• UK’s Digital Secretary informed the British parliament that from the end of this year, telecom providers must not buy any 5G equipment from Huawei. Under the new guideline, the British telecom operators will be required to remove all 5G-related equipment, supplied by Huawei, from their infrastructure by 2027.
Tunisia’s Prime Minister Elyes Fakhfakh resigns
• Prime Minister of Tunisia, Elyes Fakhfakh has submitted his resignation to the President of Tunisia.
• His resignation has come after a campaign to oust him in a vote of no confidence gathered momentum and to avoid more conflicts between state institutions in the country.

Google-Jio partnership to 5G in India: Reliance Industries 43rd AGM 2020
• Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director, Mukesh Ambani has confirmed the Google will be Reliance Industries' new strategic partner. The announcement was made during the 43rd Annual General Meeting on July 15, 2020.
• The new strategic partner was introduced by Mr. Ambani after he mentioned all the entities that have invested in Jio Platforms. He informed that Google will invest 33,737 crores for a 7.7 percent stake in Jio Platforms.
• Reliance Jio in partnership with Google will develop an android-based smartphone operating system to increase access to smartphones. The main objective is to accelerate India's digital economy.

ADB appoints Ashok Lavasa as new Vice President
• Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa has been appointed as the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank. The development comes just a few months before Lavasa was scheduled to take over as the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
• In his new position, Ashok Lavasa will be looking after the Private Sector Operations and Public-Private Partnerships. Ashok Lavasa has more than two years left in his term at the Election Commission of India. He would have retired as the CEC in October 2022.

• A new book titled “If It Bleeds”, a collection of four stories, authored by Stephen King has been released. The book published by Hachette India.
• The book has the story centres around a bomb at Albert Macready Middle School. It is a sequel to his bestselling work, “The Outsider”.

प्रधानमंत्री स्वनिधि योजना को लागू करने में मध्य प्रदेश हुआ सबसे आगे
स्ट्रीट वेंडर के लिए शुरू की गई आत्मनिर्भर निधि (प्रधानमंत्री स्वनिधि योजना) के कार्यान्वयन में मध्य प्रदेश अन्य राज्यों की तुलना में शीर्ष स्थान पर है।
इस योजना से वर्तमान में राज्य में 378 नगरीय निकायों लाभान्वित किया जा रहा है।
अब तक 8,70,330 स्ट्रीट वेंडरों ने योजना के तहत पंजीकरण कराया है, जिनमें से 1,76,000 स्ट्रीट वेंडर्स को पहचान पत्र और वेंडिंग सर्टिफिकेट जारी किए गए हैं।
इसके अलावा, राज्य में लगभग 15 करोड़ 50 लाख के ब्याज मुक्त ऋण के 15,500 केसो को मंजूरी दी गई है।
डीआरडीओ ने पी 7 हैवी ड्रॉप सिस्टम विकसित किया
डीआरडीओ ने पी 7 हैवी ड्रॉप सिस्टम विकसित किया है जो कि वायुसेना के 76 विमानों से 7 टन वजन वर्ग तक के सैन्य स्टोर को गिराने में सक्षम है।
डीआरडीओ ने कहा कि यह प्रणाली पूरी तरह से स्वदेशी है और एलएंडटी द्वारा निर्मित की जा रही है, जो कि प्लेटफॉर्म सिस्टम, ऑर्डनेंस फैक्ट्री द्वारा निर्मित पैराशूट से निर्मित है।
यह प्रणाली मेक इन इंडिया कार्यक्रम के तहत बनाई गई है।
“बल्क प्रोडक्शन क्लीयरेंस (BPC) को प्राप्त करने से पहले अनिवार्य आवश्यकता के हिस्से के रूप में, भारतीय सेना, IAF और ADRDE की संयुक्त टीम ने आगरा में आज दो सिस्टम पर सत्यापन परीक्षण किया, जिसे IL76 ac से 600 mtrs की ऊंचाई से 280 पर गिरा दिया गया था किमी प्रति घंटा की गति डीआरडीओ की एक विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार, पांच बड़े आकार के पैराशूट (प्रत्येक 750 वर्गमीटर) के क्लस्टर की मदद से स्टोर सुरक्षित रूप से उतरा।

ब्रिटेन ने भी 5G नेटवर्क से चीनी कंपनी हुआवेई पर प्रतिबंध लगाया
भारत की ओर से टिकटॉक, लाइकी और यूसी ब्राउजर जैसे 59 चीनी ऐप पर बैन लगाने के बाद अब ब्रिटेन ने भी चीन को तगड़ा झटका देते हुए 5G नेटवर्क से चीनी कंपनी हुआवेई पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है। कंपनी ने इस फैसले को निराशाजनक बताया है।
समाचार एजेंसी रॉयटर्स को मीडिया सचिव ओलिवर डाउडेन ने मंगलवार को बताया कि ब्रिटिश प्रधानमंत्री बोरिस जॉनसन की सरकार ने 2027 तक दूरसंचार कंपनियों को अपने उपकरण हटाने का आदेश देकर ब्रिटेन के 5जी नेटवर्क से हुआवेई पर प्रतिबंध लगाने का ऐलान किया है।
ऑपरेटर्स इस साल के अंत से हुआवेई से 5G कंपोनेंट्स की खरीद नहीं कर सकेंगे और 2027 तक चीनी टेलीकॉम्स द्वारा 5G नेटवर्क से बनाए गए सभी मौजूदा हुआवेई गियर को हटाने के लिए कहा गया है।
ट्यूनीशिया के प्रधान मंत्री फखफख ने इस्तीफा दिया
• ट्यूनीशिया के प्रधान मंत्री, एलिस फखफख ने ट्यूनीशिया के राष्ट्रपति को अपना इस्तीफा सौंप दिया है।
• उनका इस्तीफा एक अभियान के बाद आया है, जिसमें उन्हें विश्वास मत हासिल करने और देश में राज्य संस्थानों के बीच अधिक संघर्ष से बचने के लिए वोट दिया गया था।

आरआईएल की 43वीं एजीएम : गूगल ने भी किया जियो में निवेश
रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज (आरआईएल) की 43वीं बैठक में बुधवार को मुकेश अंबानी ने कई बड़े एलान किए। अंबानी आरआईएल के चेयरमैन एवं एमडी हैं।C-19 वायरस के संक्रमण को देखते हुए कंपनी ने वर्चुअल एजीएम का आयोजन किया। इस मौके पर अंबानी ने जियो प्लेटफॉर्म्स में गूगल के निवेश का भी एलान किया। उन्होंने कंपनी की भविष्य की योजनाओं के बारे में भी जानकारी दी। उन्होंने आरआईएल की उपलब्धियों का भी जिक्र किया। अंबानी ने कहा कि संकट के इस दौर में कारोबार को बहुत नुकसान पहुंचा है। दुनियाभर की अर्थव्यवस्था पर इसका असर पड़ा है। उन्होंने कहा, "मुझे इसके बाद भी यह भरोसा है कि हम C-19 को हराकर समृद्धि के दौर में पहुंचेंगे।
रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड की एनुअल जनरल मीटिंग का आयोजना जियोमीट के माध्यम से किया गया है। मुकेश अंबानी ने कहा, "अब तक 50 लाख से अधिक लोग जियोमीट को डाउनलोड कर चुके हैं।" उन्होंने कहा, "जियो मीट भारत का पहला और एकमात्र क्लाउड बेस्ड वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग एप है। सिर्फ दो महीने में ही जियो प्लेटफॉर्म की यंग टीम ने इसे तैयार किया है। इस एप की रिलीज के कुछ दिन बाद इसे 50 लाख लोगों द्वारा डाउनलोड कर लिया गया।
नियुक्ति और इस्तीफे
एडीबी ने चुनाव आयुक्त अशोक लवासा को नया उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया
अशोक लवासा एडीबी में दिवाकर गुप्ता की जगह लेंगे जिनका कार्यकाल 31 अगस्त को समाप्त होगा। लवासा को जनवरी 2018 में चुनाव आयुक्त नियुक्त किया गया था।
बहुपक्षीय वित्त पोषण एजेंसी एशियाई विकास बैंक (एडीबी) ने बुधवार को कहा कि उसने चुनाव आयुक्त अशोक लवासा को निजी क्षेत्र और सार्वजनिक-निजी साझेदारी के क्षेत्र से जुड़े कामकाज के लिए अपना उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया है। लवासा एडीबी में दिवाकर गुप्ता की जगह लेंगे, जिनका कार्यकाल 31 अगस्त को समाप्त होने जा रहा है।
एडीबी ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘‘वह वर्तमान में भारत के चुनाव आयुक्तों में से एक हैं और पूर्व में भारत के केंद्रीय वित्त सचिव, पर्यावरण, वन और जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्रालय में सचिव और नागर विमानन मंत्रालय के सचिव सहित कई वरिष्ठ पदों पर काम कर चुके हैं।’’
