President inaugurates 'Fourth Global Exhibition on Services' held in Maharashtra

●   President Shri Ramnath Kovind inaugurated the 'Fourth Global Exhibition on Services' organized in Mumbai today (May 15, 2018) and launched a portal on 12 top (Champion) areas of service sector.

●   On this occasion, the President welcomed nearly 500 international representatives from nearly 100 countries participating in this global exhibition.

Central Government will add 200 additional markets to e-comm.

●        The Government of India is working on the plan to include 200 other wholesale markets in the country.

●        In a statement issued by Agriculture Secretary SK Pattankar, it was stated that in the current session, these wholesale markets will be linked to online trade by joining e-NAAM.

'State Startup Ranking Framework 2018'

●   In order to increase competitiveness, the State and Union Territories will be encouraged to work actively towards promoting their start-up ecosystems by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) on February 6, 2018. The 'State Startup Ranking Framework' was launched.

●   Under this, motivating states / UTs to motivate them to learn good practices or methods from each other was also an important objective.

The number of members in Atal Pension Scheme crossed the 10 million mark

●   The completion of 3 years of the Atal Pension Scheme (APY) has exceeded the number of members of this scheme of 1 crore.

●   APY was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9th May, 2015 at a function held in Kolkata.

●   At present, the total number of members of the scheme is 1.10 crore.

JP Nadda inaugurated two day risk communication workshop

●   Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shri J.P. Nadda inaugurated a two-day workshop on "Risk Dialogue During Public Health Emergencies" at Shimla.

●   In his inaugural address, Nadda urged public health officials to keep their dialogs simple and effective during the health care delivery.

Another search circular has been issued regarding the NRI marital disputes by the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

●   The Integrated Nodal Agency (INA) decided to release another find circular (LOC) in its meeting organized today under the chairmanship of Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Child Development.

●   The INA also recommended that the passport of the person concerned should also be seized / canceled under the provisions of Passport Act.

Ministry of Renewable Energy released National Wind-Solar Hybrid Policy

●   The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) released the National Wind-Solar Hybrid Policy on May 14, 2018 in New Delhi.

●   Policy provides alternate source (AC) as well as for the integration of both energy sources, namely wind and solar at the Direct Current (DC) level.

India has the highest ban in the Internet on 2017-18: UNESCO report

●   The South Asia Press Freedom Report of the UNESCO International Federation of Journalists, 2017-18 was released.

●   This report said that incidents of closure of internet services around the world are increasing.

●   There was concern that such incidents were a threat to freedom of expression and press.

Bus service starts in Janakpur-Ayodhya under Ramayana Circuit

●   Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Nepal KP Sharma Oli inaugurated direct bus service between Janakpur and Ayodhya to promote pilgrimage in Nepal and India on May 11, 2018.

●   Between Ayodhya and Janakpur, about 493 km Is the distance.

America transferred its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem

●   According to the pre-declaration, the US moved its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

●   On this occasion, the inauguration ceremony of the American Embassy was held in Jerusalem.

●   Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner also joined the inaugural ceremony.

Turkey calls back ambassador to America, Israel

●   Turkey has called back its ambassadors from the US and Israel as opposed to the Donald Trump Administration's decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

●   Israeli security forces had killed 59 Palestinians during heavy protests on Monday on the Gaza border.

Foreign Trade of India: April 2018

●   During April, 2018, exports in dollar terms reached an impressive level of US $ 25.91 billion, registering an increase of 5.17 percent compared to April, 2017.

●   Similarly, during April-2018, exports in rupee terms reached an increase of 7.01 per cent to Rs 17,0052.96 crore compared to April, 2017.

Google India will pay ad income tax : Income Tax Appellate Tribunal

●   Income tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT) has paid the company's advertising income to Google Ireland Ltd. In the case of sending, the income tax department's notice of tax demand has been right.

●   The Bengaluru bench of ITAT upheld the tax department's order in the order of 331 pages that such payment is royalty and hence it becomes a matter of cancellation of tax on the under-tax (source tax deduction).

NALCO signed MoU with the Indian government for the financial year 2018-19

●   National Aluminum Company Limited (NALCO), the flagship and public sector Navratna company of Aluminum sector, has signed an MoU with the Government of India, setting a revenue target of Rs 9,350 crore for the financial year 2018-19.

●   This revenue target is 15 percent higher than the previous year.

●   So far only the annual physical test was taken to detect the health of the jawans.

●   Army Hospital (R&R) Delhi Cantt celebrates International Nurses Day today.

●   Chief guest, Commandant Army Hospital (R & R), Lieutenant General U.K. Sharma said that Nurse is a very important member of the health service team and she has a significant contribution in the patient's recovery process.

Summer adventure camp in Air Force Station Hindon

●   Summer courage camp was organized from 12 to 15 May, 2018 for children and their families in Air Force Station, Hindon.

●   The camp was organized to fill the spirit of courage, companionship and self-discipline among the participants.

●   A total of 600 personnel, including Air Force warriors and their families, were organized such as Microlite Flying, Power Hand Gliding, Parasailing, Rapalging, Jorbing, Go Karting and Swimming.

Roberto Mancini will be Italian's new coach

●   Roberto Mancini has agreed to be the head coach of Italy's football team and according to the reports, he will sign an agreement with the Italian Football Federation on Tuesday.

●   Manchester City's 53-year-old Manchini resigned as coach of Zenit St. Petersburg on Sunday.

●   He said that he is now free to talk with Italy.
