Prime Minister will chair the fourth meeting of the Administrative Council of the Policy Commission on June 17, 2018
●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will preside over the fourth meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Non-Cooperation Council on June 17 at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
●        In the meeting that will be held throughout the day, the Union Minister, the Chief Ministers of the States, the lieutenant governor of the union territories and senior officials of the Government of India will be present.
 

India will organize the European Film Festival
●        To highlight European cinema, the European Film Festival will be inaugurated on June 18, 2018 at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi.
●        At this year's Film Festival, there will be some extraordinary stories for cinema lovers with the selection of 24 new European films from 23 European member countries.
 

Tourism Minister will participate in Incredible India Roadshow to be held in the US
●        Union Minister of State for Tourism K.J. Alfonz will attend Incredible India Roadshow to be held in the United States from June 18-22, 2018.
●        These roadshows will be organized in major US cities including New York, Chicago and Houston.
●        Tourism Minister will be the keynote speaker and Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Mr. Suman Badla will be presenting on the topic of 'Incredible India'.
 
Lithium-ion mobile phone batteries will be made in India
●        The lithium-ion battery used in mobile phones will be manufactured in the home country.
●        With this objective, the Government of India, Indian Cellular Association and Munoth Industries are planning to set up the first manufacturing plant in Tirupati city of Andhra Pradesh.
●        The plant will be set-up in three phases for Rs 799 crore


Dam safety bill-2018 approved
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to present the Dam Safety Protection Bill 2018 in parliament on 13 June 2018.
●        This will help to ensure the safety of the dams and the benefits it generates.
●        This will also help in the protection of human life, animal wealth and property.

Target to free Uttar Pradesh from open defecation on October 2, 2018
●    Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath reviewed the progress of Swachh Bharat Mission Rural (SBM-G) with all the jurisdictions by video conferencing last evening.
●    Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his commitment to achieve open defecation in the state from October 2, 2018 before the period of October 2, 2019.


Cabinet clears sixth phase of launch of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle Mark-3
●        Under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle Program and financial assistance for 30 PSLV operational launch under this program.
●        This program will also meet the need for satellite observation for Earth observation, direction indicator and space science.

●        The technologically excellent these radars will have the ability to scan 360 degree of mechanical rotation without antenna and they will be able to operate for 24 hours with minimum maintenance requirement.
