●        In a huge public meeting, the Prime Minister dedicated the modern and expanded Bhilai Steel Plant to the nation.
●        He laid the foundation stone of IIT Bhilai.
 
NAFED procures 31.91 lakh metric tonnes of pulses and oilseeds in the year 2017-18
 
●        The Indian National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Association Limited (NAFED), procuring 31.91 lakh metric tonnes of pulses and oilseeds in the year 2017-18, has procured pulses, oilseeds and onion produce from farmers.
●        More than 20 lakh farmers have got direct benefits from this.
 
 
Piyush Goyal dedicated three solar power projects of NLCIL to the nation of 100 MW

●        Union Minister for Railways, Coal, Finance and Company Affairs, Mr. Piyush Goyal today inaugurated three solar power projects of 100 MW of Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Limited for commercial production and along with these projects dedicated to the nation.
●        These solar power projects with installed capacity of 100 MW each are located in Thappalakkrai and Sethupuram of Virudhunagar district and in Selaya Seziyanellur of Tirunelveli district.


Swajal launch in 115 aspiring districts of India
●        A national consideration meeting was organized in the capital today to discuss the need for improvement in National Rural Drinking Water Program (NRDWP) and preparing a road map for the Self-Plan.
●        Union Minister of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ms. Uma Bharti presides over the meeting.
 
 
20 States signed MoUs for implementing Ayushman India-National Health Security Mission
●        Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Shri J. P. Nadda transferred the consent letters with the Health Ministers of 20 states.
●        These states signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for implementing Ayushman India - National Health Security Mission at the Conference of Health Ministers held here today.

●        Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Integrated Command and Control Center of the new Raipur Smart City.
●        On this occasion Union Minister of State Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Puri and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh were also present.
●        The Integrated Command and Control Center of New Raipur has become the 10th Smart City Center of the country.

●        Minister of State for Tourism J Alphans launched the new 'Incredible India' website in New Delhi today.
●        The website shows India as a round-the-round surveillance goal around key experiences in areas such as spirituality, heritage, adventure, culture, yoga, and fitness.
 
Jammu and kashmir police approves two women battalions

●        The Union Home Ministry has sanctioned the formation of two women battalions to increase the representation of women in the Jammu and Kashmir Police on 13th June, 2018.
●        Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had announced the creation of nine new battalions in the state during the Jammu and Kashmir tour.
 
 
Solar Charkha Mission will be started in 50 clusters

●        Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises launches Solar Karkharka Mission in President Ram Nath Kovind on 27th June, 2018 in New Delhi
●        Under this mission, 50 clusters will be included and 400 to 2000 craftsmen will get an opportunity to work in each cluster.
 

Bill safety bill-2018 approved
●        The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to present the Safety Protection Bill 2018 in parliament on 13 June 2018.
●        This will help to ensure the safety of the dams and the benefits it generates.
 

PhD degree will be a mandatory condition to become a teacher in universities from 2021
 
●        HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Wednesday that in July 2021, the PhD degree would be a mandatory condition for the teachers to become teachers in universities.
●        The Government said that candidates who qualify NET with PhD Degree or Masters degree will be able to apply for teacher posts in the colleges.

●        This post was vacant after Mr Sushil Kumar retired on April 30 this year.

Musharraf will not be able to contest elections - court
 
●        On being absent from the muscle, Supreme Court withdrew the conditional permission given to former dictator Pervez Musharraf to contest the elections on Thursday.
●        The court last week allowed him to contest the proposed general elections on July 25, after which he had filed his nomination papers from Northern Chitral district.
●        Musharraf was allowed to appear before the court on June 13 in connection with his lifetime disqualification.
 

Divya Suryadevara appointed as CFO of General Motors
●        Indian-American Divya Suryadevara has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer of General Motors , America's largest automaker .
●        In a statement Wednesday, the company said in a statement that 39-year-old Divya, the current vice president of the company, will replace Chuck Stevens on September one.

●        Tata Consultancy Services has said that their board will consider the share buyback proposal on Friday.
●        Tata Consultancy Services is going to buybacks for a second time in a year, according to analysts, which could be as high as Rs 16,000 crore last year.
 

Fitch predicted economic growth of India to 7.4%
●        Credit rating agency Fitch has increased the economic growth rate of India from 7.3 percent to 7.4 percent for the current financial year 2018-19.
●        Fitch has fixed 7.5% growth rate for 2019-20.
